I heard the staff giving other patients the same speech - there's a lot of buildup, scaling is required, fillings need to be replaced, blah blah blah to the tune of over SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS. I said "no thank you" so they REFUSED to give me the services that my insurance covers. Refused a "normal" cleaning. Never in my nearly 50 years of going to a dentist has this occurred. I get it - sometimes additional treatment is necessary, however, I am not in a position to move forward at this time. Instead of TREATING ME WITH RESPECT, I was ushered out. STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM HERE unless you have cash to throw out the window for procedures that you have never been told you needed before! Funny how everyone gets the same spiel - this place is nothing but a money grab for sure! Filing a grievance with my insurance company as well since they refused to honor my covered services.

I am…read moreso happy I made an appointment at Ideal Dental, everyone there was very kind from the moment I arrived. I was asked about my anxiety and what triggers it. Dr Hashim went over my options for treatment and ways we can lessen my discomfort and stress. She explained thoroughly what needed to be done to bring my teeth back to a healthy state, while going over my X-rays. She is very thorough, professional and takes her time explaining. I was given a treatment plan for my deep scale cleanings, filling and crown with detailed itemization and options for payment. The pricing was fair for all I needed to have done and the woman presenting it answered all of my insurance questions. The star of the office for me is Raphael the hygienist, he went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, felt safe and explained every detail of what he was going to do. He is truly an angel! I was immediately scheduled for my treatment and have already finished phase 1 with phase 2 being completed next week. I highly recommend this location.

I was taken back after about waiting 5 minutes by Suzanne my hygienist. I had to also have x-rays done. Suzanne did a great job at my cleaning, explaining what she was doing, and always kept the conversation flowing. I had my cleaning done, then dr. Hinder came in to look at my x-rays. He said everything looked fine, there was just one tooth they're monitoring. All in all, it was a great experience.

However, I was an actual patient there and also have more than a single review with no picture, so rest assured this review is legitimate. I really don't like to dump on a place on Yelp - it has to be really bad for me to leave a one star review as I honestly have a pretty high tolerance for bad food and services. This is an exception. When I moved to the beach, I needed a dentist to put a permanent crown over a temp one I already had. Dr. Harrison did it, and I liked him, the hygenists and the front desk girls a lot. They were all very friendly. I came back a few months later for a routine cleaning, after they continued to point out weird things I needed done and upgrades to crowns as others have mentioned. In this meeting, they told me I needed 12 crowns. As if that isn't ridiculous enough, the Dr and hygenist both starting laughing around the 9th or 10th. While I am glad they found it so funny, it isn't as funny for the at the time 21 year old who doesn't have $15,000 lying around for dental care. So, I decided to go see my home dentist in Orlando for a second opinion. Funny thing is, he said I may need ONE CROWN. Just one. He recommended me a new dentist (John Della Porta) who hooked me up with a great root canal specialist who took care of it in no time. I just don't understand why they would so obviously lie about something like that. I never had pain in any of 11 other teeth they claimed needed crowns, and I still don't today. Everything about it was just bizarre. Like I said, they were nice at first, but I would recommend seeing somebody else no matter what.
