They have experts on everything you could ever need - wine, cured meats, preserves, pasta, and more!!! They have everything. Cute decor too, very kind of rustic and homey. Reminded me of my time in Italy. Oh and they make fresh bread!!!! I've been looking for a cute little market like this so I can shop local and this place is just fantastic. Had a pretty incredible turkey sandwich too - I added speck to mine! Sandwiches all come with chips + a soda too.

YES! A successful berry picking trip was completed this morning by yours truly. Saturday morning,…read moreYelpers Stephanie S. and Kathi M. and I made the trek all the way to St. Peters, only to have the farm closed for picking at 8:45am! WTF? They were that busy! I was bound and determined to go again and thus hatched my plot to get up early (and I'm NOT a morning person), arrive at the farm early, on a day during the week, when rain was in the forecast. This time, my plotting yielded success! Lakeview Farms is a pretty small U-Pick operation that's in St. Peters. It's really easy to find (score!) and has raspberry and strawberry patches. They also have pumpkins and gourds in the fall. They have a good website with up to date information on picking seasons. They also have a recorded message. They tell you to call the day beforehand to make sure picking conditions are good. It's hard to know when they are going to be picked out for the day. They say they are open from 7:30-11am but they often close way before 11. GO EARLY. Like 8am at the latest! Otherwise you might have trekked out there for nothing. One cool thing about this farm is that instead of going on a picking free for all, they give you your own area to pick in. That way, no one is infringing upon your territory and they can keep track of where has been picked over so the next person who comes to pick goes in an area with riper, not yet picked berries. That's a good model in my mind! When you arrive, you get your container(s), they tell you where to pick, and you do your thing. Then you go pay (CASH OR CHECK ONLY) and they either weigh your bounty (for strawberries) or do it by the container (for raspberries). I picked raspberries this morning and they added up to be less than $2 for one of the standard sized grocery store containers that costs a good $3-4. And you are REALLY buying locally! AND it's fun for kids and adults! They also have something called "digging for diamonds" where you can dig in sand hills for shiny rocks. The sky was ominous and it looked like it was about to pour when I left, so I was in a hurry and didn't ask about it. Another tip: A lot of the raspberries that are ripest and juiciest are in the middle of the bushes, which are thorny. You might want to bring a pair of garden gloves to prevent the ouchies! Oh yeah, and wear tennis shoes. There is mud and the grass is sorta long. I'd give this place 5 stars if I didn't have to get there so darn early to pick! But then again, props for it being a small locally owned place. And CHEAP. I definitely will be back SOON!

The day I visited there were a small selection of mini pies left, one giant lemon blueberry muffin (looked awesome) and a case of super cute Valentine's cookies that were for display and pre-order only. Many of the words are clever and irreverent- you probably customize them to say whatever you want! I tried the key lime pie and enjoyed it's sweet & tart flavors, although the graham cracker crust didn't hold together very well. Two family members tried the Reese's peanut butter cup pie (since I'm allergic to peanut butter), and they said it was pretty good, but the already small pie did shrink quite a bit inside the little tin pan. I left wishing I had picked up one of the caramel apple pies because those looked really amazing and bursting with filling. At $6.50 each, 3 mini pies were $22 with tax - a bit pricey, but comparable to restaurant dessert prices. This is a carryout only bakery, with no indoor seating. Checkout Jen's IG: Crushedsugar1. Order at the counter weather you are getting butcher items or ordering food from the menu. Don't forget to look in the cold cases for any number of items from eggs, bone broth, their delicious frozen biscuits, and many other items. Lots to choose from. I don't usually stray from my usual order of seasonal hash but I was eyeing a couple of new items I hadn't seen on the brunch menu before. A breakfast sandwich and hash browns. I was going back and forth and one of the employees encouraged me to go with something different. I asked if I could get it on a biscuit and would be sold. They checked and said yes, I was excited because I LOVE the biscuit. I decided to try the hash browns, too. You take a number and pick your seat, counter with stools line the windows to the outside as well as section that looks into the butcher cutting area. Food came out quickly and was thrilled at the hash browns, they looked so good. Shredded potatoes fried crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside - very good and I would definitely order them again. I am usually very picky about cheese, but I love pimento and the biscuit sandwich was amazing. So it came out as a split biscuit with the house ham and pimento spread, pepper jelly, arugula, heirloom tomato, and a fried egg. I cut the egg in half so I could take half home but it turned out to be nonsense as I couldn't stop eating the sandwich and finished the whole thing! Now I will have a hard decision next time I stop in! Staff is always great, super friendly, and always helpful answering any questions. Food is amazing!

Everything's high-quality and poor value after accounting for the price. I stopped in to pick up a pork loin because I was around the corner, looking for ~3-4lbs of meat. They only had a 1 1/2 pound in the case (order taker weighed it to confirm before going to the back, which should've been my first warning) so I asked if they had any larger ones. They were nice enough to check and offer to cut one. That's where things went downhill. After waiting 5 or 10 minutes, my order taker came back out to ask how I wanted it prepped (bone or boneless, skin on or off). I said skin off and ambivalent on the bones. This was my mistake, leaving my fate to the hands of someone profit motivated. I walked out with just about a 3 pound bone in roast, which is maybe half a pound more meat than the one and a half pound I turned down - not enough for my guests and I. Had I gotten a roast closer to 4lbs, I would've been unhappy with the price but not enough to write a review. Additionally, they only charged a dollar less for bone in. At $15/lb, I effectively paid the price of their beef for the meat after accounting for the bone. I felt tricked. In hindsight, I should've just turned it down when I saw the price, but I was a bit too shocked to say anything. So I paid my bill and swore that I wouldn't be coming back for anything but (maybe) sausage or a snack again.
