Both the lady at the counter and the pharmacist were very helpful. Small, narrow selections, but everything you might actually need.

I swung on by Long Beach, WA on my way back to Portland. Got a chance to check out Peninsula Pharmacy. I was actually looking for postcards as I'm a collector of postcards and magnets wherever I travel to. However, their postcards weren't to my liking, but I still walked around the place to see what goodies I can find. I bought 3 pairs of socks... avocados, buzzing bees, and crackling octopus. SO CUTE! It's a nice pharmacy that not only sells pharmacy stuff, but all sorts of other stuff. However, when I was there lingering around the socks for so long because I could not decide, I felt I was being watched by one of the women who works there. Just a feeling I got... you just know when someone has an eye on you LOL. I'm not referring to the romantic way LOL. Anyway, I had to quickly decide otherwise they might have gotten more suspicious of my intent. All I wanted to do was to pick the best designs. It's not like I was going to run out with them socks without paying LOL. I always pay for my goods. Anyhoo, do drop on by when you're in Long Beach, WA. Perhaps you'll pick up a pair of socks or two. Just don't linger LOL. Happy Shopping!

We stopped at the jewelry on a table in front of the cashier. When I had an older women I would say in her seventies, stop in front of us just glaring at us. I believe she thought we were going to shop lift. I thought how rude. We went to another area of the store, again she was right next to us glaring. Very uncomfortable and we are NOT shop lifters!!!!!! We actually purchased items, and she was right behind us following us. NEVER will I go into that pharmacy again. We goto Long Beach a lot.

Unfortunately I do not have a lot of choices where to shop because Rite Aid has a lock on Medicare covered prescriptions in this town. Consider me as being a disgruntled customer that wishes I had more shopping options than having no choice but to shop at this store. The Seaside Rite Aid pharmacist informed me that according to their computer, the Advair disc I needed was in stock in Warrenton and I drove 36 miles round trip to that Rite Aid location only to learn they don't stock it and never have, as it is special order only! Hopefully a company like Amazon will get into the pharmacy business as they know who the customer is and how to give prompt service. Maybe Rite Aid should reconsider their business model as what is offered does not work! I expected more from a national company and look forward to the day that this store closes when some other pharmacy opens and delivers service with a good attitude.

They wont allow you to 'fix' while in line, you have to go stand in a long line with one overworked customer svc person, and its a major hassle, especially if you're popsicles are thawing. I am an astute shopper - I'm expert on using their app, clipping their coupons, reading the ads before I shop, etc., and to boot I worked grocery early in my long career. These were genuine errors. We've had to endure a near year-long revamp of the store, its nearly finished, and I've yet to to see ANYWHERE any improvement in the experience. Its mind boggling how much money they spent to achieve NOTHING. When I was a checker, they came out with the most efficient way to process items; customer puts product on belt, the employee scans it and puts it right in the shopping bag. Boom, handled once! Super efficient! A few years ago some idiot with no clue how checkstands operate came up with the bright idea of having the checker scan it, put it on another belt, where another employee bags it. Handled TWICE. And this store NEVER has 1:1 checker/bagger. Today there were FIVE checkers, and ONE bagger. Fred Meyer continues its increasing abuse of plastic. Too many instances to write here.

I made an appointment online for my flu shot two days before my visit. I arrived 20 minutes early and waited inline for about five minutes. When I went to the counter, I gave my name, birthday, and phone number. I was told to take a seat and wait for paperwork. I informed the woman I had made an appointment online, she tersely said, "You have paperwork." I waited for the paperwork (which was largely redundant from what I filled out online). When I informed that same woman that I had my own pen, she crossly said, "Our pens have been thoroughly sanitized." I coldly replied, "I still have my own pen," while rolling her pen on the counter in front of her. After another wait, in which 2 walk-ins were given their vaccinations (during my appointed time), the pharmacist called me. In the room where jabs are given the pharmacist asked, "Do you have any questions?" I stated, "So, making an appointment online doesn't speed up the process?" His response was, "Do you have any other questions." After the jab, he suggested that I stay in the store fifteen minutes. Since I did have some shopping to do, I was in the store and dealt with the friendly staff behind the cash registers. Next year, I'll get my flu vaccine at the Olympia Walgreens I got last year's jab. Attitudes at the Warrenton Walgreens pharmacy suck!
