I had used another heating company prior to having Dave and his Co Worker come out to re-evaluate my system. The previous company said I had a bad part and it was going to run close to $2000 to fix the issue. Which raised red flags all over the board. Peninsula Heat (Dave/Co worker) did a complete system check. All results showed the system was in perfect condition. There was a mechanism that was loose so they tightened it down. Also checked the heat pump and saw that there was NO couplings on the valve for the Freon. So they place two copper fittings to keep the line solid. Additionally, it was recommended to use actual air filters rather than the caged metal filters. Better air quality. My furnace has never sounded so quiet and SO much more efficient. No longer constantly running and temperature is coming up very quickly when needed. Thank you guys for your wonderful professionalism with explaining the operation. read more

We were gone for a extended time do to medical care. When we returned home (Port Townsend, Washington) our heat wasn't on. We called the company that installed it originally. We explained our situation and told them that we would be willing to pay overtime or whatever it takes to get a emergency service call. We were matter of factly told it would be five weeks before they could get there. We called Peninsula Heat because we have seen their trucks in town. I was so lucky to reach a compassionate, friendly and understanding person named Nancy. Nancy she was very sorry but they couldn't get there until Monday (it was Friday) then she asked me if I tried cleaning the filter (I hadn't). Then she asked me if I had tried the EMERGENCY HEAT on the thermostat? I had no idea there was such a thing! I turned the t-stat to EH and within minutes we felt warm air coming from the grilles. Thank you Nancy you are our hero!! Forward to Monday a Peninsula Heating truck pulled into the driveway right on time. The service technician came to the door and introduced himself as Steve. Steve put on his shoe covers and immediately diagnosed the problem (yay Steve) we are in the process of getting a new unit to be supplied and installed by Peninsula Heat thanks to Nancy and Steve. This past Christmas weekend our 18 yr. old electric furnace stopped working. I had a recommendation to call Peninsula Heating and was truly pleased with their service. They were totally upfront re: overtime charges on the holiday, and since we had a space heater, we waited till 12/26 to have them come. Their technician, Jessie was polite, concerned about not getting our rugs dirty, found the problem in 5 minutes, and replaced the capacitor very quickly. He only charged the time for the repair, and then gave us suggestions as to better filter coverage and their seasonal service program. We have already called to be on their list in October! Their website says they service Brinnon, Washington but they don't even come into the city limits of Brinnon. They go as far south as Pleasant Harbor, about 2 miles north of Brinnon, but isn't in Brinnon, but still a Brinnon address. They don't go 4 miles south of Brinnon city limits which is where I live, but still a Brinnon address. I told them that's false advertising and the person on the line said Oh wow and I said they don't even go into Brinnon itself so it is false advertising. I told them they should take Brinnon off their website, They lie about servicing Brinnon so no telling what else they lie about. read more

These people are amazing! Our heat pump system kept acting up, so, I called the company with the highest rating. But, wait, we also had a horrible home warranty we had to go through, which we did. (They didn't have anyone here to work on our unit, so we had to come up someone to do the work.) From that day on, the crews came out worked on our system until it finally died in December 2022. Then the fun began. Once it was decided replacement was required, Peninsula Heat provided a proposal to our warranty people (Sears/Cinch- don't ever use these people). We waited until the end of February for approval. Once approval was received, Peninsula went to work, got the materials, and started working. The crew was great, wore booties when they came into the house, cleaned up after themselves, were respectful of us, played with our new puppy and wonderful to work with. Plus they were very patient showing us how to work the system and clean the filters. GREAT COMPANY. read more

I installed a complete system and it took way too much supervision on my part. The crew was great and the system is great but I had only one requirement - it had to have a thermostat I could connect to a smart house. After over $16,000.00 I find out that it will only connect (using old technology) if I buy an additional part and have them install it for another $300.00. Cheap shot. July 3, 2017 Just to update - The owner and I spoke on the phone and she committed to looking into the situation further and would call me back. That call has yet to come. July 14, 2017 After working with Renee, Pennisula sent someone out and within 30 minutes my system was smart and working thru wifi with my phone. I'm not sure how they did it because I was told it couldn't be done, but who am I to question. They also did it at no charge and called to make sure I was satisfied. Much better. I gave them 2 more stars but held back one because overall it was still more work than I should have had to do. read more

A terrific company to work with...beat the other bids and finished before schedule. More importantly,doing some important redesign of the original system. This was a huge job with 6 heat pumps and 6 air handlers. They made me look good, as everyone at New Life Church commented on how I had picked the right team for the job. They reviewed all system choices and our new heating system works very efficiently. All the staff commented on how polite and knowledgeable the techs were and how they cleaned up after themselves. We needed a new heat pump compressor unit. After conferring with the Ken the owner on the phone, we decided on what I needed. He sent Steve, the service manager to do the installation and it turned out we needed a completely different kind of unit. They had the new unit in the next day and Steve had it in that afternoon. And they charged me the same price. Never was there ever any attempt to try and upwell me something I didn't need or would have trouble affording. I couldn't be happier with the sales, service and product I received. I talked to Kathy who works at a local golf course. They got the same kind of no pressure deal from Ken. My heating duct was repeatedly repaired by a handyman service hired by the sellers realty company. The third repair did not take as he used tape which was not proper for what was needed. I called the a/c company used by the reality company to come out an let me pay them to make the repair. They never showed up or called. Never heard from them again. So I called Peninsula and not only did they call me right back, they worked me in right away the next day. They sent a lovely lady out to make the repair PROPERLY. Done. Now instead of heating the crawl space (as I had been for two months) I am heating the house. She was wonderful and the service was great. A company that will make time for a small job must be super super good at the big jobs! A company that won't come out for a small job isn't worth the time - so will never use that other company ever. On the scheduled day for service, Steve arrived a half our early. He indicated that due to a technician calling in sick, he was filling in for Paul and requesting to start early to catch up. Steve understood my initial observations, and proceeded to find a blown temperature safety sensor. He proceeded with a thorough clean out of the heater box, repairing damaged insulation. Due to the fact that this was the coldest winter week in recent past, and our need for the heat for my 91 year old mother-in-law, he placed a temporary sensor to get the secondary heat working until the recommended sensor could be ordered. He then replaced the condenser fan motor with a new universal one he had on the truck. When the invoice arrived the next week, I found the cost very reasonable with the cost of the fan motor only sightly higher than I could have bough on line (I had considered replacing it myself) which was reasonable since it was a multi-hp universal that he carried for immediate replacement. Even though he was filling in with short staff, he did not rush his work and answered all my questions and was patient with me looking over his shoulder as a retired "Engineer". Total cost for work was less than I had anticipated. I highly recommend Peninsula Heat and Steve. Thanks read more

I solicited them to work on my boiler heat system. The problem was simple, I had a bad contactor for the heating elements. I also had a pump that was wired to run 24/7 and wanted to know if there were any options to that. After what involved 3 visits (approx one hour each) over a one month period, the technician wasn't able to figure out the wiring, solve the problem, or provide a contactor. His offered solution for the circulating pump was also not according to industry standards. I finally told him I had no confidence in his abilities and paid the bill. (He was, however, very courteous.) I ended up familiarizing myself with the system and fixed it in an hour, with parts I was able to secure locally overnight. With that in mind, I called the owner asking for a refund, explaining that I'd specifically asked for someone with boiler experience and, as far as I could tell, didn't get that. Despite all the evidence to the contrary (I sent pics and schematics and a detailed explanation of the repairman's attempts), the owner maintained that he'd sent his best repairman and would not refund my money. My conversation with him revealed that he, too, didn't understand much about boiler heat systems and started offering excuses, claiming that they're complicated and often a pain to work on. (Obviously not, since I was able to fix it.) Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. Angeles Electric would be a much better choice, as they were extremely knowledgeable and quite indulgent with my questions. read more
