We visited the Clinton location not too long ago and are delighted there's a closer location! Bright orange exterior and more neon inside along with some cute booths and Japanese wallpaper, eclectic decor for sure. But you're here for good food right? And the sushi is wonderful. We ordered from the lunch menu and have a hot tip for you: the Yummy Roll is aptly named, go for it! We also tried the Volcano roll, the spicy tuna and the shrimp tempura. Each bite was perfect. Service was attentive and prompt. We'll be back!

I call it five stars if I had choice

Eddie is an amazing server. Service is amazing too. And let's talk about their yummy rolls delicious. Can I get a round of applause? The vibe of the whole place is amazing their characteristics of the serve servers Makes me not even mad about paying money and it's really cheap. If you ask me, I'm the person who thinks McDonald's is overpriced. Don't mind Will.c Or Audrey m. They're just haters shout out to Eddie and the people who served us today. Bless your beautiful souls. This is Piper Sydney and Natalie Speaking Good luck for the future and we're probably gonna make it on your usuals soon saying how often we come bye

I had a great time! I had calamari as an appetizer and it was exactly what you would expect. The Hibachi Chicken was delicious and enough for two good meals! The tempura ice cream was fun and had good flavor, but it was a little smaller than I imagined. The apple sale was really good! The service was good if a little slow at times, but they were fairly busy. The atmosphere was nice, the restaurant felt clean, open, and nice. No complaints and definitely going back for more!

I've never seen that level of interaction before, and it definitely made the meal more enjoyable. The food was good and cooked well, but the portions were smaller than what you typically get at most hibachi places, so don't expect to have leftovers. The restaurant itself is a bit outdated, but it was clean, which I appreciated. Overall, a fun experience with good food--just go in knowing the portions are on the smaller side.

As we entered the entryway, we were WARMLY welcomed with a hearty "HI!!" We chose the Hibachi side of the dining room. Promptly seated and serving plate, silver and napkins in place. Thanks to experienced Alex - the chef's assistant. Alex was super personable, friendly and FUNNY! We enjoyed him immensely. Our chef - O.G. - arrived with his side cart loaded with sauces, a huge tray of beautifully prepared veggies, generous portions of rice and smallish proteins which were over priced. My five small scallops were cooked to perfection. Exceedingly tender with the proper bit of char. Delicious! But I sure could have enjoyed a couple more of those morsels. We were a party of four. Two opted for strictly chicken and the last of our group did a chix/shrimp combo. The chicken, sadly, was overcooked. O.G. was entertaining and an interesting conversationalist.

The lacquered soup bowl and spoon are par for the course but the cast iron teapot and teacup give that authentic quality. So the miso soup is not as salty as I am accustomed to, but I believe that is a me thing, not a quality issue. The composition of seaweed and tofu is good. The salad has a ginger dressing which I appreciate, but my daughter didn't. Again, it's a her issue. The salad components were fresh. The sushi flavors were pretty good. So the fish is not as fresh as it would be in a coastal state or on an island. Hey man, this is the midwest! That being said, this is NOT grocery store sushi though, it is much better and much tastier than that. The flavors of the sauces are mild to allow the natural flavors of the ingredients to shine through, something that many places err in. Typical rolls have such overpowering sauces that the actual ingredients are unidentifiable. This place does not make that mistake. The spicy tuna roll is probably the best tasting spicy tuna roll that I have had in a very long time. Most places use sriracha as the main pepper ingredient, despite it not being of Japan origins. This spicy tuna roll has more of a togarashii based pepper base. As a result it has more of an authentic Japanese flavor. Yum! The staff are very nice, greeting you with a smile. They even ask if you would like a plate cleared away before taking the dish away...my husband has had instances where he wasn't quite done and the servers whisked the dish away neglecting to ask. They checked on us frequently as well. I also am pleasantly surprised that their last call for dine in is 15 minutes before they close. My daughter wasn't available to go out for dinner until 8:45 pm. This is 20 minutes away, so it was still open when we arrived and we didn't feel rushed to place our order.

But step inside the door, and you've entered an Asian teahouse that's welcoming and cheery. The walls are painted a bright mint green, with paintings of herbs and an entire wall of customers' photos celebrating their birthdays. The place is open and airy and the tables are spaced well so that one is dining in a communal place but can still carry on a conversation in some privacy. Shelly and Lin-Lin were our servers, and they were AMAZING! Shelly greeted us and was a most hospitable hostess; when we asked for a table nearer the windows, she was happy to oblige. Both Shelly and Lin-Lin guided us through the menu, answering our questions and giving us thoughtful recommendations for food and drink choices. Our meals were EXQUISITE! My friend had the Chrisnana roll and I had the lunch special of two rolls with onion soup. Both were plated beautifully; we took photos because they were utterly charming! The Chrisnana roll was delicious; the banana was surprising but melded with the savory sushi flavors. My California roll was a perfect blend of crab, avocado and cucumber wrapped in perfectly-cooked rice. And my Sweet Potato roll was mouth-wateringly delectable! There was a crisp topping on the roll which perfectly complemented the sweet smoothness of the potato filling. Both meals were reasonably priced and served quickly. When my friend and I lingered to talk, both Shelly and Lin-Lin checked on us to ensure we had everything we needed, but we never felt rushed to leave. They were so friendly and genuinely happy to have us join them at the restaurant--it was such a warm and welcoming experience! We'll definitely be back, and we'll bring more friends!
