Absolutely beautiful quilts though and I really find them to be a sort of art form, so to me it's like looking through a gallery. It's a talent I wish I had. I love that they hold beginner's classes here too. That's definitely something I would be interested in if I ever happened to move back to my hometown here or even if I was ever visiting for longer than a week. It seems like an odd location to choose, only because Athena is so small and I never felt like it was a town too many travelers ended up passing through, but that almost makes it even nicer to see something like this here.

I am definitely a beginner, still trying to figure out how wet my paper and brush should be, what is "damp," or what it means to "lift color." In addition to learning how to paint, I've gained a lot more confidence in my ability to put paint on paper.
