Lake Pend Oreille Cruises - Informative maps handed to us through out the cruise presentation

Lake Pend Oreille Cruises

Review for the Lake History Cruise, 1-2:30pm on July 2, 2020. They also have other cruise options…read moresuch as the Birds of Prey Cruise (June-Sept.), Island & Eagle Watching Tour (Spring & Fall), Full Moon Dessert Cruise (June-Sept.) and Sunset Dessert & Eagle Watching Cruise. This was a nice cruise around Lake Pond Oreille & I learned a lot of history about the area. Linda was a great "first mate" and tour narrator. Kimberly did an excellent job as "second mate," providing many detailed maps and info sheets/pictures through out the cruise. Our captain (AJ was his name I think) was a good driver and didn't make anyone lose their lunch. Everyone was very attentive and always checking in to see if we needed anything. We learned about submarines used by the US Navy on this lake, ice age facts, geology and so much more! Booking online was smooth as was the check-in at the boat. Seating was plentiful and if you chose to sit on the top (open air, chilly 52 degrees) they offered you a blanket. There is a bathroom on board in case you have to go. They also serve snacks and drinks (soda, beer, wine, cocktails) and have apparel available for purchase as well. TIPS: - Arrive 15-20 minutes before the cruise is scheduled to depart and you'll have prime choice of seating (approx. 10-12 chairs) - Bring your camera (& binoculars if you have some) because we saw bald eagles and other beautiful sites. - If you're a tipper, you may tip online at the time of booking or bring cash to tip afterwards. - If you bring your kids, they can have a chance to sit in the captains chair and drive the boat (the little boy on our cruise even got his own captain certificate!). Lake History Cruise - Ticket Prices: Adult (Ages 13-59): $25 Child (Ages 3-12): $18 Toddler (Ages 2 and under): Free Senior (Ages 60+): $23 Thanks for the enjoyable cruise and for making us feel very welcome in Sandpoint. We'll definitely be recommending this to others who visit.

*Warning* this is a negative review. I am a disabled veteran. My wife booked an eagle / castle…read moretour with this company. We took our Nephew, Niece, and their 8 year old. We arrived at the Cruise Shack about an hour early and couldn't find a parking place. We went around the lot 8 or 9 times without finding a parking spot (the Cruise company doesn't have any designated parking for its guests). As we decided to leave, my wife called the company and asked to be rescheduled or refunded and they answer was no. They told her to go park about a mile away and walk. She said that I was disabled and couldn't walk that far in the 85 degree heat (she is also a disabled vet). They then said to drop me off and then go find a parking place. She said she couldn't walk that far either. The person on the phone said well I don't know what to do for you. About 35 minutes later we get a call from the Cruise company and asked if we were coming. It was the same guy who basically just told us too bad. My wife said we just had a 10 minute conversation with you about not being able to find parking and so we left to go home. The guy said well there's a parking place right out front right now. My wife said thanks and hung up. Both people were on speakerphone for me while I was driving. Don't expect to get any satisfaction if something goes wrong with your reservation and don't expect to find parking unless you are willing to drive around for quite a while or walk a mile. Fortunately, our credit card company is refunding the charge.

We bought a brand new 2019 Ranger XP 900 from them and had a great buying experience. However,…read morefast forward to September 2024. I called to have an oil change service, cracked window replaced and pulling to the right sometimes. It took several phone calls, four months and $4,000 to get it back. I was very patient, but someone dropped the ball on this. There were several double charges on the work order (thankfully, that was corrected) and I write this, the Ranger is worse than when I brought it in. It now has a severe pull, will not drive straight, steering wheel is most definitely cockeyed and I'm pissed. This company has definitely tried my patience, took four months to repair along with a good chunk of my money. They lost my business and I absolutely will not recommend them to whoever asks me.

Go with any other company…read more I tried to rent a pontoon boat from them and had a horrible experience. We reserved a pontoon boat months in advance. When we arrived for our rental, we were told the boat would be at the dock in 10 minutes because it was being repaired. 45 minutes of waiting at the dock later, an employee came down and said the boat wasn't going to be fixed and that we could take a ski boat or nothing. We had several adults and a large dog so the small ski boat ended up being a waste of our time/money. I later spoke with the manager (Michael) . He said someone should have called me weeks beforehand and told me the boat was inoperable because they had been having problems with it for quite a while. I requested a sizable discount on a half day rental (1/2 off a half day rental) He said the owner would only offer a $50 discount toward another rental. The ski boat was dirty inside. The service was terrible. I would use any company but this one if renting a boat in Sandpoint!
