The captain, who was very congenial, explains the sites along the way and some history of the area and the lake. We learned a lot! Our cruise was probably less than half booked. There was plenty of food and everything tasted good. The staff on hand was friendly and competent. The dock is easy to find. Parking was ample, although paid. My spouse had a delicious huckleberry lemonade. I had an (overpriced) glass of wine. They did promise more than one dessert (I think?) and only had one. I felt sorry for anyone who didn't like chocolate cuz that's what it was. Surprisingly nice bathrooms for onboard a small boat. Lovely views. Very pleasant overall with nice music playing as well.

To be honest, I'm often not impressed with food in American venues -- and I definitely didn't expect much from a dinner cruise. But to my surprise, everything was excellent: the fish, the steak, the perfectly seasoned potatoes, and the fresh salads. Service was great too, which made the whole experience even better. We had such a fun time with friends and took tons of photos along the way. P.S. Bring something warm -- after sunset it gets noticeably cooler out on the water! Would absolutely do it again next time we're in town.

Coeur d' Alene has been on my list as everyone says how great it is. So, a friend flew to visit over the summer and we spent 2 nights at the resort in their North Wing room. Then another friend came to visit this month, so we returned (with a much better experience). Arrival: Both visits were easy and we self parked. Be aware that there is an elevator from the parking garage to the resort and it is not the same one that will bring you to your room. Easy if you don't have a lot of stuff, but one visit I brought my dog and I could have used a luggage cart. So unload up front and then go park. Check in: Very quick. No wait. On the 2nd stay we were allowed to check in early which was nice. Rooms: North Wing- yikes. It does say on the site it is for the "value minded traveler." It shows. Summer is expensive there and since we were going to be outside the majority of the time it wasn't horrible. However, the room is much like a motel with the window facing a walkway. Ours was right next to the elevator. ugh. The inside was just okay. As others have mentioned, it could use updating. My second stay we stayed in the Lake Tower Room with double beds and fireplace and balcony. It was lovely. Nice room, beds comfortable, but the best was the view. Housekeeping: Unfortunately, both stays no one came to service the room. The Lake Tower even had a button to push when you want it serviced. We were out of the room by late morning and had the button turned on. Oh well. When I called, they did offer to service the room but we were tired and wanted to relax. One minor thing is that there is quite the push for tipping. I believe it came in an email and text. Just thought it was tacky. I've never seen that done before. Amenities: Visited the outdoor Blu pool during the summer. It was busy. My friend and I found an area that was "adults only" (not near the pool) and enjoyed the lake more than the kids in the pool crowd. Restaurants: Dined at Beverly's and Dockside. I will write separate reviews for them. All positive and will be back. The pre fixe dinner (early bird) was a great deal at Beverly's! ***Only policy I would suggest a change on is their charge for pet fee. It's one of the highest I've paid (and I've stayed at 5 star resorts) There is a DAILY $75 fee (someone said they cap at $150). I understand a fee is necessary, but I think that is a bit over the top. Our pup is crated (and prefers it) so does not require that deep level of clean other dogs might need. It might be better to have a standard reasonable fee and then charge the owner if the animal's stay requires additional cleaning.

The people above me (tiered camped ground, like a staircase) had their LED lights shining into my camper and I finally went in my nightgown to their site and asked them to turn it off. We made some hot dogs over the fire and did a little walking around. The pool looks nice (we always saw a lot of people swimming). The staff was always nice and kind. They really seem dedicated to having a nice campground. We were really impressed by the camp kitchen. We didn't bring anything we needed to cook, (besides the hot dogs) so we didn't end up using it but it looked nice/useful. If we happen to find ourselves in this area again we will definitely use it! It even had a microwave! The bathrooms were always clean and had warm water for showers. The cabin itself was nice. We rented a 6 person cabin. It was roomy with a double bed and 2 sets of bunk beds. The beds had the classic cabin style mattresses, but not too bad. It had a little heater attached, which was nice when it got a little chilly in the evening. Overall a very pleasant and nice experience! (A personal favorite: the front porch swing on the cabin: such a cute touch)

This family has always taken care of us and our guests. We rent the pontoon boats and they are always clean, filled up, and everything in working order. We had an outstanding time renting a boat from Sandpoint water sports!…read more We rented a pontoon for the entire day and Gary and his crew were nothing short of spectacular. We have rented boats in other areas, and you can tell this team goes the extra mile to make sure things are comfortable. The boat was clean, new, and had a cover, which was great for the heat and had amazing storage. They have really close parking and tons of it for free. No stress. In addition, they also have wheel barrows to help get all of your gear into the boat really quickly. Gary and his team made sure we knew all of the features of the boat prior to departing. Bluetooth, air pump for floaties, enough life jackets for everyone and additional for water sports at no additional charge. We boated all day long and didn't have to worry about filling up, we were able to take it back at the end of the day, pass it off and head out within minutes of docking the boat. I would choose this place hands down every time. The 5 minute additional drive is worth it with all of the ease that comes from renting from here!
