I adore this place, but to be honest, I've not stepped foot here in 10 years, and for a very good reason: the pen I bought ten years ago (or more probably) finally broke--my fault--but not before I didn't change the cartridge one single time. Cost per use? Much higher than those crappy plastic pens I used for years that I hated. In its place, a shiny new replacement and one for my wife who has quickly become enamored with her choice. I swear the same guy that waited on me last time was there again and ably assisted me in picking out a new pen. So many cool little toys here. Sure, it's a luxury, but for a guy driving a 10 yr. old car that has been paid off since day 1, paying $100+ for a great pen I use every day is right up my alley. See you again in 10 years... maybe.

They were closed at 7:00pm. Apparently EVERYONE is supposed to know this. This store is in the Westin Hotel.

The very first time I was in the store I had a fountain pen that wasn't working properly.

I liked playing but never cared that much about watching except for Steve Sax. Yes, I loved and stalked him until I got to meet him. Walking in this store makes me feel good and I feel a bit nostalgic. The collection of hats is amazing and you can tell the store/owner cares about the presentation. It's immaculate and while not a huge selection because it's a smaller store, it's quality and cool. My boyfriend loves getting the leather baseballs and they offer seconds on them at times which are a great deal because he likes to use them and not just collect. There are some unique products at reasonable prices. For example, cool puzzles you don't see everywhere. I loved grabbing some Big League Chew on the way out. A nice selection is available! I have seen the same younger guy in the shop the 3 times I have been in. I don't know if he is the owner or is just always there, but he is extremely nice and very helpful. I got the feeling this is his business but if it's not, the owner should be grateful for a guy that invested in the products and customer service. I always leave feeling better than when I walked in. I need to go back and buy more to support this small business! If you are in this area, stop in and experience the nostalgia and joy!

They've been selling in boutiques around town such as The Bunker, Westside Storey and MASH Handmade. Good news! They're going big time and have opened up their own retail space on Westport Road! The corner storefront is pretty large, and right now I'd say at least 75% of the space is dedicated to production. There are a ton of windows and thus natural light, and it's a clean and airy space that is a pleasure to be in. The merchandise is rather limited but well curated, and a number of other local brands are represented. Off the top of my head I can recall seeing products from local businesses Owl + Mouse, Sandlot Goods and Vintage Edison. This is, of course in addition to a full line of Normal Human's t-shirts for man, woman and child. They're brand new, in fact I don't think they even had a sign when I visited. As they navigate from wholesale to retail, I look forward to seeing what they come up with. I highly suggest a visit to Normal Human.
