Please read: I would give this place zero stars if I could and I highly discourage you from being your pets here. I had been taking two of our family pets to get bathed and groomed at Peluches for almost 2 years. I will NEVER bring any of my dogs here and I recommend you don't either. My dad and I brought both our dogs (female poodles) on Saturday October 26. My dad noticed one of our dogs was badly injured. I'm not talking about a nick, it was a laceration and one of her nipples was cut off. We had to take our dog to emergency and our dog had to be sedated so the vet can stitch her up. As this occurred Saturday and our main priority was our dog's safety, I returned to Peluches on Monday October first thing when they opened (they're closed Sundays). The groomers tried to brush it off and make it seem like it was not their fault. I showed them pictures of the laceration and they said it looked infected beforehand. But why would they give my dog a bath and haircut if was supposedly already there?!! Nice try. We even asked the owner of Peluches if we can see the video of that day and her response was: "we do have cameras, but the tape erases after a certain time." How convenient for them. I just want the owner of Peluches to take responsibility and pay me back fo damages and the suffering of my dog. I highly discourage you from bringing your pets here. read more

I've taken my pup several times, but the last two were no good. On Saturday, November 5th, i took her in for a bath and cleaning, only, nails, eye, genital area. Sad to say, worse idea ever! They knicked one of her nipples, and she came back infested with fleas! I had to immediately take her to get a flea treatment, and bathe her again. Poor Cookie, her skin is so irritated, even after a week. No, she did not have fleas before going there. I tried to reach out to the place, but there was no response! Never again . read more

Let's start from the very beginning, we took out two dogs to Peluche's for the first time a few months ago. They did a nice job. For $35 dollars they claim that they will: 1. Wash your dog 2. Trim their nails 3. Trim their fur 4. Clean their ears 5. Express your dog's anal glands You can't beat this kind of service at a price point like the one they're offering, right? Wrong. Spend a little extra and avoid the holier than thought employees who will do/say anything to excuse their lack of professionalism, horrible time management skills and lack of knowledge in pet services. It was clear they were only trying to impress us, as new customers. The second time we took them, they only washed our dogs, after almost 2 hours of waiting. A few weeks ago, we decided to give them another chance, seeing as they kept calling us every month to try and get us in. After explaining the previous experience we had, the employee tried lying about not being able to cut our dog's nails the last time, because they were indoor dogs and indoor dogs have longer nerve endings that grow along with their nails. (He wasn't working the last time we took them, nor did the employees working that day ASK us they were indoor dogs.) After telling him that we walk our dogs on concrete every day, he tried to blame us for keeping our dogs inside, as if that explained why they didn't cut their nails at our last visit. When we exited, they pretend to grab our dogs, as if they were going to work on them next. After waiting over 2 hours, we tried to see if they were ready. Shocker, they hasn't even work on our dogs were locked in tiny cages for over 2 hours. They told us it would take at least another hour and a half. The same employee told is it was because we brought them too late, in such a condescending tone. We took our dogs in before noon and this was now a little after 2:00. Once again, trying to point the finger elsewhere. We tried to take the dogs home, so they told us it would only take another 45 min to an hour. We didn't have another hour to waste. Then the SAME employee proceeded to tell us they cried a lot, to seemingly try to justify why they didn't do their job. Please, explain his that hindered your ability to work for 2 hours? How did that impede your time management skills, considering there were very few dogs there? As "professionals," have you never dealt with nervous dogs that cry? Customer service jobs are hard, because you have to deal with so many rude people, so I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. However, employees who lie to customers, are rude to customers and speak condescendingly from the beginning of an interaction just made businesses look bad. Management: hire better employees, not family members who have no idea what they're doing. If not, management them better. Manage yourself better. Some if the reviewers here say that your employees have injured and sedated their pets and you just deny ever doing anything. If you cannot gracefully accept that you're accountable, you have no business running a company. read more

My puppy smelled very good, they trimmed his nails, brushed his teeth and gave him to me with a cute little navy blue bandana. They only charged me $35.00 - they charge $45.00 if you want a haircut on your dog. The owner is very friendly and let me know about the vet coming in at the end of the month so I can take my puppy for vaccinations. I am definitely coming back to this place again! read more

He said my pets got infected elsewhere. However, they came directly home after the trimming. Also, they came with flyaways. I stumbled upon this place after bad service at another pet grooming place. I called different groomers around my area and no one would take me in without an appointment. It was my only day off and my doggy really needed to be groomed. I called Peluche's groom and thankfully they had availability. When I first arrived they greeted me and were very friendly. He took my dog in right away and told me to pick him up in 2 hrs. 2 and a half hrs later I arrived and they were still finishing him up. Overall I had a great experience here. They gave my dog a bath, cut his hair, brushed his teeth, trimmed his nails, and he even cut the hair inside of his ears (advised me that hair inside the ears are prone to infection). The price was $45 (not too bad). Only down side is the wait time, and they only accept cash. I will definetly go back for his next grooming! read more

No Stars! Called these clowns up for a quote on my Dog for a hair cut, told the guy 60 pounds & that he WAS very Hairy. He quoted me $50-$60 when I arrived he changed his story saying that he thought I wanted a bath & upped the price to $100. To top it off they refused our request to not cut too much from paws, tail & head, saying that the cut is all one measurement & cannot be altered. I was like are you guys pros or not? I have to take my comments about the place. I had an incident with this groomer and the owner. My dog had a nick underneath her left eye. The nick is due to shaving my dog without cleaning any eye boogers. I let it go but I made the owner aware. Another time, her eyes was red and puffy and she was nick again. I gave this place several attempts to clean up their act. I do believe that accident happens but not repeatedly. Carlos the owner promised to be the one grooming her. In my opinion, they did not render the services that I was paying for and expensive due to the vet bill I had to pay for my dogs exam, treatment and lost wages. My review is for the business as well as Carlos, the owner of the shop and main groomer. I've known Carlos for a few years now, since before he had his own shop and used to do house visits. In 2009, he agreed to help me out with a fundraiser. He came to my house and groomed every dog i could get there in order to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and did not charge me a penny. He spent the day washing, trimming and drying about 20 dogs, helping me raise around $600 for the cause. I have seen Carlos work with animals and i know that he genuinely cares for them. He will finish a job well and humanely done even with the wildest pet without complaints (I've witnessed this!) I know that my dogs will always be in good hands when i leave them with him so they have not been to any other groomer since he came into our lives, even if we have to drive a few extra miles. PLUS, his prices are ridiculous!! I used to take my pups to the big chains, like Petco and Petsmart paying about $80 per dog for the basics and with Carlos I pay half of that for the works! Needless to say that i have spread the word and Carlos is the groomer to all of my friends' dogs and cats! read more

The people here were very nice and the place was clean. $45 got my boy groomed. The body was awesome but the job they did on his face was not so great :( its very choppy, too close to his skin around the eyes and not even along the cheecks. I asked for a cute round look on his face and didnt get that :( Other than that my boy came out smelling good, got his teeth cleaned and nails trimmed. I recommend coming here, just be VERY specific with what cut you want. I think ill take a picture next time and brimg up this situation. Happy grooming! read more
