Visited the store with my wife on May 17 around 6:45 PM. We walked in, looked at several options, and were surprised to receive no acknowledgment from the staff. A representative was present but made no effort to engage or greet us. We even left and returned shortly after, hoping for a different experience, but again were completely ignored. Failing to acknowledge a customer--especially in a premium retail environment--is disappointing and not reflective of the kind of service one would expect from the Peloton brand. read more

We stopped here recently to buy a new Peloton, as a replacement for my old Tunturi Cardio. First off, their sales rep Sam was outstanding. He took his time, giving us detailed explanations to all our questions. At no time did he talk down, or seem impatient. His effort was Ten Stars! What gave us pause, was all the ancillary Peloton products which you need buy. Besides their Spin Class monthly subscription, you need to buy their shoes, to ride their bike. Or instead, buy special pedal clamps for your shoes. It seems like a very profitable business model for Peloton. But minus the Spin Class, if you have an odd shoe size as I do (which they don't carry), or like to watch TV and conduct business while you ride with ear buds, then there are other alternatives. My husband and I were in the area and we decided to stop by the Peloton store since we currently own a bike and love it. Upon walking in, the atmosphere was clean, hip, and we were greeted immediately. The employees quickly approached us asking if we were interested and after we told them we already own a bike+ they backed off for a second and approached us again asking if we would be interested in the Tread. We kindly rejected as the bike+ works great for our space at home and needs. The workout apparel is always fashionable and efficient for this kind of workout but is on the pricey side. Lucky for me I have a good collection of workout gear :). Any who, we left and immediately came back to get ourself measure for our bike at home. This bike is good for your health and the community that comes with it is priceless. We made a reservation to learn more about the Peloton Bike+ at the store here on Fashion Island. We were immediately greeted upon our arrival by Michael. He was more than willing to answer all of our questions (which we had a few...especially since we were going to be spending several thousand dollars on a bike.) We were able to try on the shoes that we would use with the bike and Michael taught us how to clip in and out (which if you haven't done before, can be a little bit of a struggle). After meeting with Michael, we took the next day or two to decide if we wanted to purchase the bike and ultimately decided to. The timing to get the bike seems to be pretty quick, because we are getting the bike within the next week. It looks like their supply chain issues I have been reading about online might be resolved. read more

After scheduling an appointment to see the new bike plus this past Saturday, we arrived at the Newport Beach/Fashion Island store to find it locked with a growing line outside the door. Two employees were at work inside dealing with other customers, seldom coming out to update us on the status of appointments, etc. Really poor time and customer management. After 35 minutes past our appointment time, we were finally allowed in. The sales person didn't acknowledge or apologize for the delay. The salesperson who assisted us was not proactive on informing us about the product/concept/benefits. She merely looked to us to see what questions we had....a very lazy demeanor. Just received my Peletoncycle. If the cycle is as outstanding as the team who set it up - then I am going to be one happy camper. Ashlee Aaron Lamar If you purchase a bike, make sure you get them to help with the set up and customer service! Lamar and Aaron did all the heavy lifting and explained the nuances of the cycle. They helped me decide where in the garage to put it - made sure we understood the way the bike worked and our shoes were a perfect fit. Ashlee is the icing on the cake. She was super helpful in answering my questions about shoes and beginning as a woman on the bike. Although she is an amazing athlete herself, she was able to discuss my needs (50's, out of shape...). She also encouraged us to reach out if there were any questions and concerns. My first ride was only 20 min, beginner. I LOVED IT. Of course it kicked my butt, but I felt like it was just me and the trainer. I am looking forward to the next one and the next. Much better and convenient than the gym. Great product but the whole process of buying the bike stinks...and the staff is no help! We bought a bike for our daughter at the Newport store as a Christmas present. At the time of purchase they said we would be getting a confirmation email / receipt with a link to schedule the delivery and installation. We received the email and nothing about delivery, I called the store and they said we can't give you a date and don't know when your bike will be shipped ...likely in February. So now we have to tell our daughter, merry Christmas but we can't tell you when your gift will be here!! Pay up front for the bike and not even a clue on when we'll get it!!! It took over two months for my highly anticipated and paid for bike to be delivered. The five rides (prior to the inaccessible wiring inside the frame breaking) were actually amazing and I was in love despite the horrific customer service and delayed delivery. Regretfully, after less than a week of the bike in my home, it broke and Peloton scheduled a replacement for me . . . . wait for it. . . . . . . in three months! So to sum it up, they took my money in early September and I won't actually have a working bike until (if I'm "lucky") middle of January ---half a year later at best! This review that I am giving is actually for the Long Beach location but it didn't come up when I went to write the review. Last week I was at the Fashion Island location and asked the employee a few questions about the tread. No point in time did he turn the tread screen on or offer me to try it out. So today I went to the Long Beach location and Evan helped me. He answered all my questions and showed me some of the programs. At no point in time did he pressure me to buy. Well I was impressed with the tread so I bought it from Evan at the Long Beach store. I guess it pays to drive further for customer service. I'm kicking myself for not writing down the name of the gentleman who solved our issues when we came into this location a few weeks ago! So, my husband and I have been riding since July 2019, and we both kinda felt like we had plateaued a bit on advancing our outputs. I thought we mig have some settings off, like our seat heights and whatnot, so we showed up at the Fashion Island showroom and asked. He put us on their bikes and showed us the correct settings for our heights and leg lengths. To our surprise, we were both riding too short on the seats, and not extending our legs enough! The guy who helped us was great, knowledgeable and definitely cared about helping us find our correct settings. The store is small and quaint, with apparel and bikes - and the customer service was outstanding. Very impressed! read more

Excellent job enforcing mask wearing for employees and customer. Due to Covid I understand that it's by appointment only which is the reason why I set an appointment at 11am. I was told by a sales associate at Century City that this is a 45minute appointment so I brought along my husband ( they open at 11am). When I got there at around 1105, there was a lady ahead of me , I am not sure if she has an appointment but she was gracious enough to apologize for taking my time ( so I assume she didn't). But life happens and I let that pass. The studio was clean , organized with enough space in between equipment. I am interested in getting the bike and possibly the treadmill too. I had issues clipping and unclipping from the bike but I think it comes with practice. A few minutes into the demo, as the line starts to form outside. My sales associate tells me I have 8 more minutes of my appointment - so I hurriedly collected my thoughts and asked all my questions. And left the store , the sales associate added I can come back later when it's not crowded. ( I live 30 mins away and have other things to do.) when I looked at the time it's only 1130am. What happened to the 45 minute appointment slot or is that only in other peloton location? Peloton , I know your stocks are up , people are going crazy buying your stuff , people love your instructors but please treat your customers better. Train your sales associate to be better. ( I see another sales associate assisting another couple even before I got to the store and I see the same sales associate still assisting them when I left - I don't see them being rushed ), maybe I don't look Peloton worthy. read more

Do not be misled into thinking that because their bikes are well made and the classes are top notch that the customer service and delivery will match, because the service is near non-existent. Our bike arrived at 9:45 at night -- 5 hours outside the delivery window without the promised :30 minute advance phone call. We could not reach anyone at the delivery company or at Peloton. When we did, we were assigned a guy named 'Ethan W.'. He would provide neither his last name nor a return phone number. Just a group email address where he assured us he could be reached. There was not one thing he promised in his email message that was adhered to. He understood about the fubar on the delivery, but said it was their only delivery option. Hello? We are in CALIFORNIA!!! I'm pretty sure this vast state has hundreds of options. When we decided to return the bike the service was even worse. Hard to imagine. You're basically at the whim and winds of this mismanaged company. We subsequently read of hundreds of customers having the same experience. Save a ton of bucks and set your stationary bike near a TV with You Tube coverage -- you'll have every cycling option available for free with none of the hassle. read more

Their customer service sucks!!!! My bike broke after ONE WEEK...ONE. I called Peloton on a Thursday and nothing resolved and no answer. I called and had to raise a fit on Saturday. They scheduled me for Tuesday between 5-7pm. I left work early. No response by 6 so I emailed. They responded oh we show ur appointment on Saturday. This is after I reaponded and they confirmed they were coming today Tuesday. No one informed me my appointment had changed. Peloton customer service is beyond PATHETIC!!!! read more

I came into buy the Tread the Wednesday before before Black Friday. The sales associate with brown hair over charged my card for the Tread. She said the card kept saying error on her end and I kept showing her on my phone it's taking it out of my Chase account. We did not end the transaction because she wanted to charge me another three $3000 for the Tread when It already took the money out of my account but she said it wasn't showing that on her end. Assistant manager Kyle got involved. He assured me he would take care of this matter after the holiday on Monday and call me and compensate me for all the troubles and still give me the discount for the Tread. He never called on Monday I had to call him in the morning and then I called him in the afternoon because he never called me back and he told me he was too busy to look into it. He assured me he would call me Tuesday. I never got a call from him on Tuesday and I left him a message to call me back. I emailed Peloton and they told me they can't honor that price from Black Friday and there's nothing they can do to help me. Finally on Wednesday the money went back into my account. I have emailed Peloton five times and no one has reached out to me except saying there's nothing they can do for me, I can call the Peloton number and re-order the Tread and they will not honor the Black Friday discount. I have been a peloton member for over four years. I am very loyal to Peloton and I cannot believe this is happening. Sales folks are really nice and they promise you the world. Beware, the bike may not work and customer service, sucks. I have a Bike+ sitting in my house for over 2 weeks and it doesn't work. Customer service promised a replacement in two weeks. After two weeks, I called customer service and I was told they were doing everything possible to expedite my replacement but it could take an additional two weeks. Did I mention, I waited 8 weeks to get the initial delivery and although the sales reps told us we wouldn't have to make a payment until we received a bike we got our first bill 30 days after the purchase. I am three payments in and no working bike. I might like the bike but I wouldn't know since the bike is useless in its current condition. read more

I would give -5 stars for Customer service. I started the free trial for the bike by the end of February and didn't like the product. I requested the return of the bike in the middle of March. They said that they couldn't pick up the bike due to COVID19. It's been 2 1/2 months and they haven't picked up the bike yet. I'm moving out of country on Friday, May 29th, and I've been trying to explain that I don't have any place to leave the bike until they can come to pick it up. They didn't let me drop off the bike anywhere nor can they come to pick it up. And they won't even help me to come up with a solution for this problem. They even suggested me to sell the bike to someone else, but I have the rights to return the bike and receive my MONEY BACK! read more

My husband surprised me with my bike this past Christmas. A life long runner I've had to hang up my running shoes and switch to a different form of cardio. I have not been disappointed at all. The bike is very well built. I LOVE the instructors; each class brings its own challenges.
