After days spent wandering…read morethrough the ethereal mists of 2nd Avenue, I found myself in a parallel dream world where a distant voice cried out of the darkness: "The democratic socialists are hosting a mixer! Half off gin and tonics..." And it was so. Each step took me deeper into an ecstasy I had never known or even dreamed possible. I now understand what it means to open the dragon gate. When I awoke several days later, I was laying on top of the piano in the men's room wearing a band tee shirt and a lei of glow sticks, the taste of Japanese whiskey on my tongue. A kind-hearted soul discovered and took pity on me, preparing ginger honey tea and a Mama Basso's pizza as I reclined on the comfy couch and tried to get my bearings. A wandering minstrel presented me with a flyer for her upcoming show and asked if I knew anyone who might be interested in joining her feminist acoustic folk-punk band - preferably someone who knows their way around a bodhrán. Later, as I drifted through the community garden at the building's rear, I sipped a wildflower honey mead and contemplated my place in the universe. We are Life: the great experiment. I got it iced and the flavor perfectly popped! The coffee was a nice medium roast and had a subtle ease of caffeine. I also got my husband a chai latte which was amazing! It was well spiced and had a subtle apple cinnamon flavor to it. We both were thoroughly impressed by our drinks here and would highly recommend a visit to anyone in the area!

Their espresso is okay, I don't know if it's just my preferences but it tasted a little over roasted to me but I still enjoyed it. My big draw here though is I love the ambience and location. I really like being able to sit at the big Windows looking out at the Mississippi River. I like their location because as a study break or if you want to get out after the Riverwalk is right outside so it's easy to hop on that for a run or walk directly afterward(you also are within 2 to 3 miles of the bridge connecting Moline and bettendorf as well as the bridge to Sylvan Island which are fun places to get out to.

My hubby joined me after his golf game and we sat there enjoying delicious sandwiches and coffee. My only negatives were the service was questionable and the coffees were way too hot. Mine bordered on bitter. The gentleman delivering orders spent too much time going from table to table trying to figure how who the food belonged to. Not to mention the delicious pastries they offer like cinnamon rolls, coffee cake, and muffin bites! My personal favorite drink from the menu is the Farm Wife - I highly recommend it! They also drop different menus for various different holidays and events like Christmas, March Madness, St. Patricks Day, and more! How clever! I have always had amazing service every time I go! The baristas are so nice and always willing to help you decide on a drink. The service is quick and efficient and they even come outside to take my order in the drive thru if there is a slight back-up. It is evident that the baristas are always having a good time while they work and that positive energy can turn a customers bad day into a good one! Cash Cow Coffee is located in Orion, IL which is a small town with a lot of emphasis on agriculture. With being in a small town, the vibe of the store fits perfectly as there are little nods to agriculture and farming all over! Cash Cow makes a personal connection to the town of Orion in various ways, and relating the names of their drinks back to agriculture is a unique way of doing so as agriculture is so prevalent within Orion! I couldn't recommend Cash Cow more! The drinks, food, the service, and more all make every stop at Cash Cow worth it! If you live in the area, I would definitely recommend stopping here for your daily fix of caffeine or pastries!
