    Lingonberry martini

Rozz-Tox is a required stop whenever we visit family in the Quad Cities. The decor is eclectic and quirky, you'll notice something new and fun on each visit. The atmosphere is so cozy. The coffee drinks are excellent, as are the cocktails (loved the lingonberry martini). And the Japanese curry is one of the best dishes I've ever eaten. It is the ultimate comfort food. My boyfriend ended up ordering a second bowl, it's just that good. We're only in the area once a year but I am already excited for my next Rozz-Tox fix.

    Stage in the back

One of the coolest places in the Quad Cities. Seriously this place is rad! I just came here on a quiet day to get some work done and it was perfect. The music was a very chill kind of electronic music, really hip and relaxing at the same time. They have really nice tea, board games, artwork from local artists up on the walls for sale. The owner Benjamin was a really nice guy. I only wish I got to see a show here - they have a little stage in the back for music. Come here!

    The extensive menu

I have no great complaints about this place or their food and drinks though I was underwhelmed by the ham and cheese sandwich which for the price was nothing outstanding, the chai tea is alright though also not memorable. The actual menu was pretty extensive and contains many items not found elsewhere in the Quad Cities which makes me think that I would return if I gained a taste for Coffee and Alcohol.

Had the place to myself for a while on a Sunday morning.

Currently on my first flight crew layover here in the Quad Cities. While staying at a nearby downtown Rock Island hotel, I decided to venture out on Sunday morning, solo, in search of brunch or a coffee shop where I could kill some time and grab a bite to eat. A block away from the hotel was a brunch place that had a line around the block and a what appeared to be very long wait time. It also appeared to be the only open place within walking distance too, other than the hotel restaurant, which I've grown quite tired of over the years. So I kept walking, and stumbled upon this place, a cozy little hole in the wall. I walked in to a neat atmosphere, and for a while was the only customer. More people need to know about this place--especially on a Sunday morning, as being an option. The coffee was great. Pour-over intelligentsia. Bet you can't get a pour over at the popular brunch place down the street. Loads of coffee and teas to choose from, as well as other unique drink options, as well as a nice selection of sandwiches that are made to order, and other breakfast/lunch options. Great spot to check out to kill some time, have some coffee, and grab a quick bite to eat. Super friendly service too.

    Veggie bahn mi, so tasty!

The interior is so cute, the service was good, and the curry was delightful and the price is fair.

They had a small stage for live entertainment, board games, and community event flyers. I ended up ordering the Honey Lavender Latte after the staff member recommended it. I got it iced and the flavor perfectly popped! The coffee was a nice medium roast and had a subtle ease of caffeine. I also got my husband a chai latte which was amazing! It was well spiced and had a subtle apple cinnamon flavor to it. We both were thoroughly impressed by our drinks here and would highly recommend a visit to anyone in the area!

Their espresso is okay, I don't know if it's just my preferences but it tasted a little over roasted to me but I still enjoyed it. My big draw here though is I love the ambience and location. I really like being able to sit at the big Windows looking out at the Mississippi River. I like their location because as a study break or if you want to get out after the Riverwalk is right outside so it's easy to hop on that for a run or walk directly afterward(you also are within 2 to 3 miles of the bridge connecting Moline and bettendorf as well as the bridge to Sylvan Island which are fun places to get out to.

Review Visit: April 10th, 2017…read more Aroma = Amora. Aroma backwards is Amora and Amora means 'love' in Spanish. I do love some good coffee, but do I love Aroma? Yes. Aroma was fantastic. When driving to it, it was a bit hard to find due to it being tucked in with a placed called The Green Thumbers, which is a pretty nifty gardening store in itself. So aside from being attached to a gardening store, it is a full-fledged cafe/coffeehouse on it's own. Upon entering, the staff was super nice and struck up a conversation and asked what I was doing today. Told them the boring part of my business reasons for being in the area, but also the fact that I like to try new coffee places while out and about. They offer a large variety of coffees, lattes, frappes, baked goods, sandwiches, salads and more. I ended up just getting a specialty drink called 'The Tuxedo', which was hot espresso and milk with white and dark Mocha added to it. It sounded pretty good and it did not disappoint at all. In their display of baked goods, they had a chocolate peanut butter cookie that was calling my name... or my sweet tooth was calling for it. Either way, I requested that along with my coffee. The barista even offered to warm it up. I tell you, this may be one of the best cookies I have ever had. I've had some of the best across Illinois, especially at Insomnia Cookies, and this place may rival them on the cookie level. The interior is very formal with out being too formal. It felt cozy but modern. Everything was gray/white/black with nice furniture and some wall decor. But the best part? The two stuffed bears in there. One was about 5 feet tall and there was a baby bear on the other side of the chair, holding a coffee cup. You can see them below. They aren't taxidermy bears mind you, but stuffed plush bears from the store it is attached to. This is the second coffeehouse I have been to with bears in it, the first being Thirty-Thirty Coffee Co. in Peoria, IL. Bears and Coffee go together like Peanut Butter and Jelly... maybe? No bear puns yet? That's un-bear-able! Overall, Aroma Coffee is Amora indeed! The coffee was great, the cookie was beyond amazing and getting your photo taken with the bear is an added bonus. Aside from it being a bit hidden so one could easily drive by, it is worth hunting for. The coffee/cookies that is. Not the adorable bears inside.

Would be a 5/5 star if they allowed service animals (it's illegal not to)…read more Though I didn't have a service animal I know many who rely on them so it's upsetting :( many restaurants allow working dogs and even just some dog friends but a cafe attached to a garden doesn't? Everything else was good though I'd go back for the crepes

But my wife and I were quickly snapped back to reality... because that was the only thing that was 'quick' about our visit. Our wait to be seated during Saturday brunch hours was bearable -- 5-10 minutes for the small dining room. However once we were seated, it didn't really seem all that crowded. That's an important point because it took about 10-15 for anyone to come take our order, to offer us water, to say hello... anything. I had to grab our menus from another desk. Believe me, we were very tempted to leave. Someone who appeared to be in charge (perhaps the owner) came over in the nick of time. I ordered the muffuletta which was supposed to be served with puréed hot peppers and olive oil sauce. These were missing when the dish arrived tableside which was very disappointing. When everything was finally delivered, the sandwich tasted really good. But I can't get past the poor quality of service.
