Great experience selling my saddle. I will certainly use them again if the opportunity arises.

My niece has been doing equestrian riding for a couple of years now, so she loves going to the Plaistow store when she comes for visits, to find riding clothes/gear and equipment for the horse she rides at her training centre. And the horse models - she always leaves with a couple of those. The staff are friendly and helpful. They don't get in your way if you just say you're looking around, but if you have questions they know their stuff. I did buy some polo wraps on sale from the website. Two of the products were great, but another came in a damaged package and actually looked like one of the four wraps had been removed, possibly used and then poorly rerolled. I called customer service. They apologized for the condition and immediately shipped out a replacement item. I took the bad item to the store, explained the situation and they were going to send it back to the warehouse. No problem whatsoever. If I didn't live close, I could have just used the return shipping label that came with my order. I would have been charged extra shipping. It was cheaper to drive there. ;)

I tried again and actually tracked someone down to help me find a product. Then when I asked a question I was ignored and totally blown off. I should be grateful since I went on eBay and saved 70.00$ I'll be going that route or otherwise for now on. The decline in service is unfortunate.

Apparently I can't comment on that post directly or ask Kris N how driving from Nashua to Pelham was a waste of a lot of time and fuel. I can only comment whether I found that post useful, or funny, or cool. It is none of those things, so I decided to take time to post my own review. Because someone is wrong on the internet. Anyway, to give you an idea of why Tractor Supply in Pelham is my new best friend, here is an anecdote: During. During. DURING one of the biggest storms this past winter (one of the ones that knocked our power out), I decided to get a jump on the snow during the storm and the belt on my snowblower snapped. Now, I DID spend time pre-winter getting stuff in order (shear pins, nuts, etc.) but after seeing how someone else got the stink eye for bringing their snowblower belt in to Nashua Power Equipment (WITHOUT KNOWING THE EXACT MODEL OF THE SNOWBLOWER IT CAME OFF OF, (can you imagine?) They were told that there were so many belts in the back that they couldn't possibly match it up), so I decided to wait on the belt. Stupid. I know. Well, just about all of Pelham was without power, but I decided to take a chance on the roads and head to Tractor Supply anyway, just in case they were open. They too were without power. But. But. BUT, the door was open as they were RUNNING A GENERATOR OUTSIDE THE FRONT DOOR. Why? So schmucks like me who waited until the last possible time during the worst conditions could walk in and be prepared to be disappointed. Here's where the magic happened: A young lady greeted me at the door of the darkened store (she was wearing a headlamp of course) saw the snapped belt in my hand, and before I could come up with a pathetic excuse, told me to follow her to the belts. She took my belt in her hands (didn't ask me for my snowblower model number, or brand, or any of the other really important information one must possess to buy things from professional stores) pulled out 3 belts and started measuring them, side by side. Without a measurement device of any kind. In the dark. With just her headlamp. She handed me 2 belts back, "It's one of these, just return the one that doesn't fit" she said. And it was. Do you know how rare such proficiency is today? That the women who were running the store were there was surprising in itself. But was I really going to believe that not only would they have belts in stock, but they had my belt. And it worked. And my driveway and ego were saved. When I returned the other belt, I picked up an extra of the right size for next time and went off my merry way. For this kind of service, I would drive Kris N from Nashua to Pelham and back, just to prove how great Tractor Supply and the people who run it every day are. Thank you Tractor Supply. Thank you Tractor Supply workers! You rock. And thank you Kris N for reminding me to thank them for it.

The two ladies welcomed us and we assured them we would be quick. My niece was looking for new riding boots, but we really didn't have time to have a good look or try anything on. Lots and lots of merchandise, so seems a little overcrowded in there. Watch out for tripping hazards, with big curly cue footed display stands. I speak from experience. Oops. The staff followed us out. One of them has a lovely old Bull Terrier.... He needed help getting up into the truck. Just as we were pulling out, a potential customer drove in and realized she was too late. The lady with the Terrier saw her and came back. That was impressive! We didn't stay to see if she opened the store up again but if I was the customer I'd be pleased that the staff didn't just drive off and pretend to ignore me. Unfortunately we didn't make it back down that way for a better look before my family went back to Canada. Next year.

Purchased 2 pairs of riding pants, a riding vest, a tote and a saddle pad...$300+. Let's face it, equestrian outfitting is expensive no matter where you shop. Still, they have a nice selection and the staff is SUPER helpful and friendly. Some of these places can be pretty snobbish just because they cater to the horsey crowd and many of those customers are obnoxious elitists too. Not so here. They will bend over backwards to find what you need and even advise on where you might find it inexpensively if they can't supply the item. I'm only taking away the one star because of the stuffiness and heat in the store. Some fans to move the air would have been great. I'm not big on air conditioning per se, however it's a concrete building they're in and it felt quite closed in. One ancient a/c unit was wheezing away in a far back window, but wasn't having much effect at all. The location is a bit off the beaten path. Whenever we visit, it seems out of business, but when you walk in, there's plenty of merchandise. I'd like to see some more signage and maybe some flowers in a planter, something to make the establishment more lively and welcoming from the exterior. It's too nice of a place to pass by!
