With a nice selection of books, periodicals, and videos, this location serves the community extremely well. Clean, free Wi-Fi, and a great staff that really cares about the library (especially as they try to find additional revenue after budget cuts due to the bad economy), the Baychester Library is an important partner in this community.

If the workers are providing a service to the community and the library doesn't close until 2pm (which they are getting paid until) then why am ai being told areas are closed at 1:43pm. I had enough time to grab my book quickly and check out, get out of their way. Instead, it became a problem to the women that check out the books and the lady next to her, I believe she receives the returns (lady with curly puffy hair ). This is ridiculous. I suggest you guys update your hours so this isn't a future problem or get workers who actually stay their whole hour shift.

They have adult bead jewelry, crochet basics, and old school coloring time. For the sophisticated teens there are events like Superhero Illustrations and Computer Coding Basics. Their weekend movies includes hits like Bridge of Spies and Selma. Their Wifi is consistent. But outlets can be an issue. I will carry a juice pack just in case.

The library is small, and there is no real division between the children and adult section so it is LOUD. This is literally the loudest library I've ever been to, I couldn't focus on a thing. The security guard (or whatever she is) is even louder than the children. She shouts across the room to tell them to be quiet. Realllllly, who does that?? I can hear her conversations with people loud and clear across the room, from what she ate last night to the new clothes she's thinking about buying. What's more I cant take a sip of water at the table, not close to any computers or books, but the kids running around, and people on their phones talking rather loudly aren't told a thing. This place is a ZOO. A spot for parents to dump their kids after school and have a free babysitter. And the book collection is deplorable. Don't bother trying to find anything to read in here. There needs to be a true dedicated quiet study/reading zone in this library. I mean is that too much to ask for? It's a library for goodness sake. If we can't have that then encourage the use of inside voices, Jesus.
