I called Mellema because they were close by. PAUL showed up and was a great guy!! he found the breaker in an upstairs bathroom, pushed the button and my problem was solved.... I asked him out much I owed him. he said he would call the office because he was only here 5 to 10 minutes and didnt use any parts etc.....I said ok, fine..... he came back in and apologized and said the bill was $150!! more expensive than my doctor, lawyer, and dentist combined! I just laughed...thought he was joking..... I paid him and told him it wasn't his fault but I just got ripped off.... he knew it, too.....said he was sorry........even asked if there was something else he could fix.... I then called the office and voiced my concern....the lady there could have cared less....just said OK! don't use them!!! my neighbor hooked me up with an electrician and his service calls are $40!!! This mistake costed me over $1000 to fix. I was reimbursed the initial payment of the installation, but not the two converters and the repair man that I had to have fix it. They took over 5 days to get the electric hooked up right. We have been without the camper heater since the first install. They refuse to reimburse any further. I would never hire them again. Don't get mixed up in the ramblings of "this is how a furnace works". Ask "What was the ohms reading for the igniter? Show me, please." "Where is a CLEAR photo of the heat exchanger corrosion and proof that it's not cosmetic wear? Please perform a combustion analysis to prove it's leaking CO." You CAN find another company to fix or replace that one part for $600 vs selling you an entire furnace +bringing this up to code +bringing that up to code +... Don't let them tell you otherwise.
