Don't get mixed up in the ramblings of "this is how a furnace works". Ask "What was the ohms reading for the igniter? Show me, please." "Where is a CLEAR photo of the heat exchanger corrosion and proof that it's not cosmetic wear? Please perform a combustion analysis to prove it's leaking CO." You CAN find another company to fix or replace that one part for $600 vs selling you an entire furnace +bringing this up to code +bringing that up to code +... Don't let them tell you otherwise.
