They premeasured our kitchen way in advance and created templates for the new granite tops. When the day came to install the granite top, it went like clockwork. They also made the backsplash so its thinner than the counter top. Very nice to look at. This may be a minor detail but its important. I thought their price was fair for the quality of the work. One thing noticeable was that they color-matched the adhesive they applied between the backsplash and the counter. Because of the cost of putting Granite (or quartz), we took our time (about 8 mos) selecting a contractor. We shopped at 5 places plus attended the Parade of Homes where we could see the installed work. The parade of Homes is a great way to get ideas and see work of various contractors. IMHO, selecting a contractor to do granite, quartz or any solid surface work cannot be rushed. And price should not be the sole basis. Best advise - ask to look at several of their work. I have seen work of other installers that made me feel really good that I went with GLGW. There are cheaper alternatives out there but as they say "you get what you pay for". I highly recommend them.

The initial home consultation with Paul was great. He had tons of samples and showed us many options and gave recommendations based on our needs. There was never any pressure to buy and he spent quite a bit of time going over the whole process and answering all our questions and concerns. We decided a few days later to go with FCI based on our meeting and the fact that their prices were competitive with the other quotes we received. Then things turned South. We were told it would take about 2-4 weeks to get the carpet from the factory. After a month, they contacted us and said that the factory was still back ordered and it would be another month. They were very apologetic and ended up removing the cost of moving the furniture from our bill. The carpet order finally arrived and we were set up for an install on November 3rd. The installers came out and had most of the old carpet ripped out and the new carpet pad laid and started to bring in the new carpet. They started to unroll the carpet and lo-and-behold - not the carpet I ordered! I took pictures and called Erick and explained the situation. He was very sympathetic to our situation and even offered a good discount on this carpet if that was an option for us. It was a nice carpet but we were set on getting the carpet we ordered so declined the offer. We had to live for a month on our 1st floor with only carpet pads for flooring. Not fun! They reordered the carpet and installed it on December 5th. The installation went without a hitch and the carpet looks great. Here's the best part. Sharee negotiated with Shaw Carpets and got them to pay for half of the cost of the carpet. Even though this whole situation had nothing to do with the people at FCI, they offered to cover the cost of the other half. How great is that? Would I recommend this company to my friends and family? You bet! If I need more carpet or flooring in the future you can be sure that they'll be the first ones I call. Thanks Sharee and Erick! I contacted someone that works for them out of their Battle Creek HQ offices, and he directed me to the Grand Rapids team. Will from the GR office contacted me very quickly and was able to come by our house the next day with his coworker, Luke. Both Will and Luke were easy to talk to and understanding. They showed me pictures of the damage to my roof and assured me it was minimal and quoted me an estimate well below what I thought it might be. We had no need to even file a claim with insurance. The next day, Will reached out and told me that because the damage was so minor, he and his boss (I believe his name is Mark) would be able to come over the next day to make the necessary repairs. I'm extremely grateful for the way they prioritized our home, especially with more rain and storms approaching next week. I cannot say enough great things about Will, Luke, Mark, Josh, and the whole team at Sherriff Goslin. If you need work done, call them!!

I really wanted to have a great experience with Brothers Gutters because the company came highly…read morerecommended and the color/options they offered looked great. The actual install time was impressive -- a two-man crew completed my 288 feet of gutters in one day, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the overall experience left me frustrated. From the beginning, communication was inconsistent. My sales rep was late to the estimate appointment with the schedule that kept getting pushed back. While he did offer a discount for the inconvenience, the pricing was still higher than other quotes I received, but I chose this company because I trusted the professionalism and quality they advertised. The finished product had several details that felt rushed or poorly thought out. Some downspouts looked awkward and out of place, extending over sidewalks or into flower beds in ways that didn't seem properly planned. To the crew's credit, when I pointed issues out they did make adjustments, but I felt like I had to constantly micromanage the project to get things corrected instead of things being done right the first time. One of my biggest frustrations was the lack of communication during the install. Decisions were made on parts of the project that were never discussed with me beforehand. I did speak with the sales rep afterward about my concerns, but getting clear answers and resolutions felt like pulling teeth. There also was never any final walkthrough after completion. I found metal scraps and debris throughout my driveway and yard afterward, which was disappointing and could have caused damage or injury if I hadn't cleaned it up myself with a magnet. Overall, the gutters function, and there were parts of the experience that were positive, but for the price paid and the reputation of the company, I expected much better communication, attention to detail, and professionalism from start to finish.
