So I've given them the benefit of the doubt. The dumplings are tasty, they are fresh (you can see them being made behind the counter as you order), and there is a great variety of dumplings to choose from. I was disappointed by the price, though. 10 small steamed dumplings plus a take-away container cost nearly $10 - that's a whole dollar for a very small dumpling. Not good value in my opinion.

On a Saturday night the restaurant was very busy and we got lucky to get a table of 2 without a reservation. The weather was perfect and they give us a table right away. The restaurant serves halal food which was a plus and we ended up ordering the following: -chicken dim sum -Thai basil chicken fried rice -red curry with chicken The chicken dim sum was perfectly steamed and the servers are very considerate and they come by the table to make sure that you have completed your appetizers which are called entrees before they put in the order for the entrees which are called the main course. The main course was perfect and both the dishes were overloaded with chicken. 5 star restaurant along with great ser

This place looks the part with an open view kitchen. I ordered the Pad Thai with beef. It was relatively quickly made and staff were friendly. However presentation wasn't fine dining by any means. The meal was pretty average at best and if you want a nice meal there are pretty options on this floor. If it's Thai your after I would go onto Spring Street and go with either of the restaurants there instead Chilli Club or GU Thai Studio Kitchen. It's ok if your not after the best Thai ever or just a quick meal before movie.

Been coming here for years. Always full on a Friday or Saturday night with a mainly Cantonese…read morecrowd. Very reassuring. Although, unnecessary given the food speaks for itself. One thing we come back here for is the crab hot pot with vermicelli for dinner or supper! This has got to be the best in Sydney. The customer service here is kind of non existent unless you are able to banter in Cantonese with the waiter. The food is that good that you can probably put that aside and enjoy the crab and some other dishes. Our usual 'go to' dishes: Deep fried white bait and squid. Light batter, crispy, enough salt, chilli and seasoning that you could eat the dish yourself and some! Congee - any kind - nice and fluffy rice, well flavoured with the fried doughnut sticks available too! XO beef fried noodles - tasty - you just gotta try it! Deep fried plain bun- usually get this for supper and get a saucer full of condense milk to dip it in - yep dessert! There is so many other dishes to get here There's also complimentary fruit at the end and Chinese dessert soup that if you're lucky enough (earlier in the night) has a glutinous rice ball in it too! I wrote the above review about 4 months ago and about a week ago we drove by the restaurant and it looks like they've changed hands ... So unfortunately I can't be sure the standard is the same!

The food consistently tastes fresh- always important when eating at a seafood restaurant. The undon is great, as is the congee, spanner crabs, giant oysters, jung kong pork and slow cooked soups. Service is brisk and dismissive. It's a good idea to know what you want, or at least what everything is, because the wait staff we encountered were not the friendliest. But no mind, the food is so damn good it doesn't matter. Making a booking is a smart idea, because this place can be very busy, especially on weekends. I've been turned away, and told to wait outside a couple of times. No booking, no udon. So think ahead and book a table. If you're driving, leave yourself some extra time, because parking is scarce. Try one of the side streets on either side of King George's Rd, there are usually a few lucky spots available.
