My partner and I had just finished a shift at work and wandered into Pegotty's simply to see what it was like. As it turned out it was possibly the best thing we could have done.
This little cafe is set up in such a way that it reminded me instantly of my nan's flat, but in a way that it makes you feel immediately at home. It was very busy and yet it still felt very laid back. We sat down and were faced with a traditional menu, at rediculously low prices - Fanastic I thought. After ordering my Ocean pie and my partners' ham, egg and chips it was no more that 10 mins before our meals were on the table. The food was delicious!
Adding a cup of coffee and a hot chocolate to the bill, it still only just cost us £10.
I cannot recommend this cafe enough, although small, it is scrupulously clean, instantly welcoming and very good value for money.
Perfect for afternoon tea, breakfast or a cheap lunch. read more
