The trails wind through trees that would be awesome to climb. There are a few benches, tables and grills around the park. Although near the back of the park, there is what was once a nice fire pit. I still think this would be a neat place for a family an friends social event (party). There is a pavilion, a grill and a lot of open space to have a nice gathering. Ok it's a little hike to the outhouse, but I think it would be a fun time. And although in need of a little repair, it was nice to see the flagpole erected from an Eagle Scout project.

It's a beautiful area with plenty of trails to wander and experience true Florida nature. There are many options to choose from to have the experience you're looking for for length of hike, shade level, openness, what to see, etc. Hopefully it will remain protected but definitely recommend visiting while you can.

You get to bring your own food and drinks. They also have a concession area where you can just your own food and drinks. At the state park, they have a concession booth and a restroom as well. The park is open from 8 AM to 6 PM and I have a recommend staying at the full day. It was so nice and relaxing plus parking was only three dollars. 10/10

It was very informational and neat to see a little piece of history. Once we were done there we got on the Bridge walkway. We did not realize how long the Park Trail was, which is 17 miles! We decided we are going to rent some bikes when it gets a little warmer and try our hand at finishing the path. However, we did walk some of it though, and it was beautiful. i went for a walk on this trail…read more don't forget to clean your shoes off with the brushes that are provided to keep bugs and seeds that maybe in your shoes to keep things out of the nature trail. it was nice and quiet the only thing i could hear was my foosteps crunching on the trail if you stop and stand still sometimes there is complete silence, when was the last time you had complete silence? i heard alot of birds off in the distance. i did see two duck at the beginning of the small lake they flew away when a big fish jump out of the water and scared them. i saw only two people on the trail. i was expecting no one to be walking the trails since it was so early in the morning. it's a nice drive to get to the welcome center and the trails. they have restrooms available, but they do not have air conditioning. they were nice and clean. don't forget some water bottles or a water jug. and stay hydrated.

The level of difficulty was just fine for us and the kids, even with my limping. We loved the informative Boy Scouts markers showing the animals that were in the wilderness. Sadly but lucky for us. The sign mentioned bobcats, otters, deer, wild hogs, coyotes, rabbits, opossum, skunk, raccoons, and armadillo. Also there was a bridge made by a Boy Scout as his eagle project. It was done so well. We didn't actually see the animals but we did see very tall birds and the prettiest color of dragon flys. We saw, red, orange, and a tiger patterned wig one. We also saw plenty locusts grasshoppers, and anole lizards. Unfortunately the information center was closed due to covid but the lady working did come out and talk to us. She was supper friendly. Sadly our trip was cut short because of the rain. However if you like the outdoors and love free activities, put this place on your list.

The venue is like a clubhouse with an outdoor portion perfect for event set up. The catering and staff were very friendly and welcoming too! The wedding venue looked like a nice place to get hitched. Admission was free, maybe they would be bettet off charging a few bucks so they could do more with the place. Popular with birdwatchers. I was expecting a higher percentage of manicured gardens and signage, but instead saw many toppled over swamp trees with shallow roots. We did feel safe there, not in sketchy area.

I have an annual bonfire event every year and our normal park was closed. We chose Moss Park as our…read morelocation for this year. I grew up nearby and used to come here every other weekend. It's always been, and still is, a lovely and peaceful park. Full of exploration, adventure, joy, with so many opportunities for so many types of events, get together, celebrations, etc. We reserved a multi-family sight and with support from the park staff we were able to use the group camp site that had a nice big bone fire ring, which is where we had our celebration. It's was just isolated enough from the rest of the park we were able to listen to music, talk, and go adventuring around a little bit. We're definitely coming back next year! This is the PERFECT park for a campfire, bone fire, lake swimming, and overnight camping.
