Highly recommend to anyone who wants to spend the day with the family. You can take a hike, play along the water, or have a picnic.

126/100 in 2016 challenge I was here just to drive thru to check out the location. There is access to drop your boat in the water, fish off a pier and wad in the water among other things. Notice many people dropping canoes There are several pavilions for grilling and having parties. There is a playground with all the normal playground equipment. Nice centrally located restrooms. Ample parking for cars and your boat hatch. Park does have hours of operation. Even notice a baseball field. Nice location to try out. Did not see a running path. But did have great views of the water.

One of the best parts of Central Florida is that you can find great, out of the way places that allow you to connect again with nature. Located on the southern end of Narcossee Road, just north of St. Cloud, this park as most of what you need for a good afternoon. A big field to play and frolic - check. Pavilions to keep you in the shade and to have or prepare lunch - check.. A wooded area and hiking trails on which to stroll and check out wildlife - yep. Access to a body of water - why they have a boat launch area to get out onto Lake Toho. In the morning, the light coming up over the trees makes for a great view of the lake. There is also a playground for the kiddies and there is even a small farm (not associated with the park) that is near the entrance, where you can often see cows and even some goats. If you are in the area, be sure to stop by the park, even if it is just to take a few breaths of air and to admire the scenery.

    Wonderful shaded playground!

Nice park. Also has nice boat ramp. You can party and cook out here. Play games with plenty of room../

The park is usually very quiet, allowing visitors to unwind without distractions. It's also a great spot for families; the open spaces are perfect for kids to play and explore. Whether you're looking to enjoy a good book or have a fun day with the children, Wheel Park offers a delightful environment that caters to both.

Couldn't walk the trail if you tried, though you might have been able to swim it. It's about 40 minutes from my house and the trail is less then a mile anyone. They have an old schoolhouse, a cannery, and a blacksmith building on the premises, so that's pretty cool to see. Once in a while they host pioneer type days, which are fun, but yesterday's was really tiny. Only a couple venders. The blacksmith was there, someone talking about composting, and Shellie's Jellies (best jelly ever! Award winning, great flavors, my fav is the pineapple rum, but all of her jellies are bursting with flavor, except maybe the beauty berry, that one is a bit reserved) The best time of the year to go is Halloween (I'll have to go back and find my pics from last Halloween, insane). Entry is free during the day. Open Mon-Saturday. They have a fright night type of thing Halloween nights, they charge for that If you live close go to see the park often, quiet and relaxing. If you live a little further like me, at least go for Halloween! Oh, yes, the nature trail is now dry, they've cleaned it up, got rid of those horrible pallets, and cut back some of the vegetation so even my 80 year old mom felt comfortable walking through

The level of difficulty was just fine for us and the kids, even with my limping. We loved the informative Boy Scouts markers showing the animals that were in the wilderness. Sadly but lucky for us. The sign mentioned bobcats, otters, deer, wild hogs, coyotes, rabbits, opossum, skunk, raccoons, and armadillo. Also there was a bridge made by a Boy Scout as his eagle project. It was done so well. We didn't actually see the animals but we did see very tall birds and the prettiest color of dragon flys. We saw, red, orange, and a tiger patterned wig one. We also saw plenty locusts grasshoppers, and anole lizards. Unfortunately the information center was closed due to covid but the lady working did come out and talk to us. She was supper friendly. Sadly our trip was cut short because of the rain. However if you like the outdoors and love free activities, put this place on your list.
