If you are in the under the C-section of the song area, it can get a little bit loud for Littles and frankly for adults too, if you are sound sensitive. I wholly recommend this as a wonderful attraction and ride for all ages.

Ariel looks weird, mainly in the face…read more While I still enjoyed this ride and thought it was fun, the overall quality of the animatronics was a step below most other rides at Disney World. I thought maybe that was because this ride opened around the same time as the movie in 1989. However, I was a bit surprised to learn after the fact that this ride actually opened 23 years after the movie, in late 2012. On the ride, you board clamshells that take you on an adventure under the sea. Pretty much all the characters from the movie make an appearance and the ride is filled with Alan Menken and Howard Ashman's popular songs like "Part of Your World," "Under the Sea," "Poor Unfortunate Souls," and "Kiss the Girl." The "Under the Sea" song and dance segment is bright and colorful. It reminds me of going to E.T.'s planet in the E.T. Adventure ride at Universal Studios. It's a festive party; both rides have that neon-colored, crowded "creature party" aesthetic. During our visit, the animatronic Ariel in this section was broken and inanimate. Kind of funny and creepy. During the "Kiss the Girl" segment, the plastic water coming out of the fishes' mouths didn't look great. It added to the overall sort of "knock-off" and kitschy look of the ride. Also, right before the end of the final scene with King Triton and the wedding of Ariel and Eric, the ride stopped on us. So, I was able to get a good, long look at the different animatronics and scenery. Finally, I thought the transitions between the high-quality video and the actual practical physical ride props were a bit jarring. Other rides do it better like, for example, the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros at EPCOT. We had Lightning Lane passes at around 1:47 PM on a non-holiday Monday and experienced no line and no wait.

Much of the queue and the ride is undercover or inside so you will get relief from the weather or sun. The boat ride is overall tame. There is a bit of sloshing and one small drop midway that could get water on your seat. The scenes are so much fun and give you a lot to look at, plus glimpses of Jack Sparrow who is always up to mischief. You'll empty into a gift shop which is a kid favorite. Restrooms are also nearby and it's great to make a pit stop here.

This is an incredibly popular and all-time classic ride, not just at Disney theme parks, but in the amusement park industry. It spawned a multi-billion dollar movie franchise, after all. At Disney, Universal, etc., I love the old-school rides with animatronics and practical special effects. They have a certain charm about them. The Disney World version of this ride opened at Magic Kingdom, in Adventureland, on December 15, 1973. The original version opened at Disneyland on March 18, 1967. I rode one or both of these versions when I was a kid back in 1989-1990. I think I enjoyed the ride more as an adult. Two other versions of this ride exist in Tokyo and Paris, making four total. A variation exists in Shanghai, but is different. The setting, the story, and of course, the music (from 1967) are whimsical and a lot of fun. "Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me." In 2006, the ride was refurbished to incorporate characters from the film series that started in 2003, most notably with appearances from Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow. The ride has a distinct smell caused by bromine, which Disney uses to treat the water instead of chlorine. It's become such a signature part of the "practical effect" charm that you can actually buy candles that smell like "Pirate Water." You might get a few little splashes of water on you and there's one small dip during the ride. We had Lightning Lane passes for this ride just before noon on a non-holiday Monday. We experienced little to no wait.

The ride usually has a wait, but it does move fast as the cars are consistently moving through and taking on new guests. The cars are speed controlled, and honestly move really slow - which makes sense for both small children and liability for Disney. The track is one of the better parts as you get to go through the back part of the park and see some sights you wouldn't be able to see otherwise. It's not a long track, so it's over pretty quickly. Overall: B- Lack of speediness and not much else to offer other than a short ride makes this attraction just okay for me.

It probably would be great if they replaced with electric and made it just the gas "sound" but we'll see with any Magic Kingdom ride, it takes planning and not sure if that's ever in the plan... maybe get an EV company to sponsor it like the GM ride in Epcot?

Rapunzel's tower from Tangled is very cool to see from an up close perspective! It felt like you were in the movie! The tower is not accessible for entry, however, the outside of the tower has been detailed extremely well. The tower appears as though it could have easily come right out of the film. At daylight hours, the tower is quite nice. However, when evening arrives with lights like the lanterns from the movie, the entire atmosphere changes and becomes much more immersive! Although this area contains themed restrooms, there is no indication that they are bathrooms! This is not your average restroom stop in Magic Kingdom though! There are details throughout the area including Pascal hiding within some of the design elements, wanted posters of Flynn Rider and many other small details to give off the idea that this is essentially a mini Tangled town. I was happy about this being a slightly less crowded area of Fantasyland as well. It is nice to be able to step back and stop for a moment to capture some photos and take a quick rest from the crowds. Unlike many of the rides surrounding this area, there isn't always a huge crowd of people here! It is definitely worth stopping by especially at night. There are so much details to Rapunzel's tower!

Many many years ago there was a sky way gondola ride that went from Tomorrowland to Fantasyland...basically from Carousel of Progress to It's a Small World. The area that is now the village & tower (AKA Bathrooms) are now located where the abandoned Fantasyland station closed and was disguised by trees for at least 15 years. Now, to save the day and turn this area that became a stroller parking lot, no seriously...it was a parking lot of strollers w/ an attendant, I kid you not. This area became very narrow and there are nowhere near enough bathrooms at WDW in general, but that's a whole other topic. Point being is that they knocked down that old building and cleared way for increased traffic flow, added toilet facilities AND add additional theming to Fantasyland expansion. Originally it's said that the tower was going not be to be forced perspective, but rather a "real life" full size tower. The execution of the overall area is really done just how you would expect it to be: perfectly themed and artistically on point. I love the wanted posters and if you look for an employee doorway at to the right of the ladies room you'll find a very serious Maximus greeting you! I love it. Why not 5 stars? Well, because it's bathrooms and planters and a cool tower. If there was a bit more use for the area, other than 1 and 2, then it would be five star with an attraction, show or character meet & greet area. I really do like this addition. Rapunzel was a big movie with my girls when they were younger and Ive a soft heart for it. Its a cool area that I look forward to seeing develop over the next few years. The iconic Cinderella Castle! Found at the end of Main Street, the rest of Magic Kingdom centers…read morearound it and it's the favorite spot for many parade watchers. It is rare to be a visitor of the castle. The restaurant is sought after and it's difficult to secure a seat. You'll be in good company with the rest of us snapping pictures with a castle backdrop.

Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom is iconic and worth visiting in person. It's neat to see up…read moreclose and walk through. Inside is a tunnel with five mosaic murals. They're really beautiful--made of over a million pieces of hand-cut Italian glass, real silver, and 14-karat gold. The tunnel connects Main Street, U.S.A. (the main entrance area of the park) to Fantasyland. Also inside the castle are Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and Cinderella's Royal Table. Reservations are required for both of these. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, located on the ground level, is a salon where kids can get a "princess makeover." Cinderella's Royal Table, located on the second floor, is a royal-themed restaurant with Character Dining. Disney princesses like Cinderella, Snow White, and Aurora show up to greet guests and for photo ops. Speaking of photos, there are lots of good vantage points in front of and around the castle to take pictures, especially at the central plaza / castle hub. We found the Disney PhotoPass Memory Maker package worth it, especially for the castle, since there were several photographers stationed at the best spots with little to no wait. Since 2006, Cinderella Castle has been used as part of the Disney movie logo. From 1985 to 2006, it was Sleeping Beauty Castle in the logo. In real life, Cinderella Castle is bigger and newer than Sleeping Beauty Castle. Cinderella Castle opened with Disney World on October 1, 1971. Sleeping Beauty Castle opened with Disneyland on July 17, 1955. A second version of Cinderella Castle opened at Tokyo Disneyland on April 15, 1983.

As much as I enjoy an air conditioned break and chance to sit, this attraction is in need of an…read moreupdate and refurbishment. The film itself is still good but would benefit from added scenes from more recent movies and some of the 4D effects don't always work well. I've also noticed some of the seats appear very worn. I still enjoy this attraction not just from the break from the heat and standing but it is not a must do for me every time we visit.

Go here for Line Drop when you can, only waited surprisingly 35 min and it went by pretty quick! I heard the hype about Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and was definitely worried as going to try this ride without the Lightning Pass would be a bad idea. But turns out even though coming into the park around 930, the wait was only 35 minutes? Perhaps I was lucky or everyone was bolting to Tron but the wait went by really quick and was glad to not need to buy the lightning pass. The setting is nice and for the kids, they won't get too bored waiting as there's Snow White Decor everywhere to keep them occupied. Ride quality was very close in my opinion to Thunder Mountain with the wooden roller coaster ride (except without the rumbling of Thunder Mountain we all know of) and the length was about right for a medium roller coaster. Would I wait this line again for this ride? Not a problem with me and I'll definitely keep this ride as one of my many go-tos when visiting Magic Kingdom.

It's not a ride, it's a memory machine. The ride itself is short--just a couple minutes of glowing sets and twinkling lights--but it's pure magic. Flying over the tiny London streets, drifting into Neverland, seeing Captain Hook run for his life--it's as close as you'll ever get to feeling like Disney bottled childhood. It's the ride that proves nostalgia doesn't need G-forces. The problem? The line. Always long. Always. Doesn't matter if it's rope drop, midnight, or during a hurricane--you're looking at 60 minutes minimum. This is the only ride where the wait time is longer than Peter's attention span. You'll stand there for an hour for a ride that lasts three minutes, and you'll still walk out smiling like a fool. A little history flex: Peter Pan's Flight was one of Disneyland's original 1955 rides, imported to Disney World in 1971. Back then, Imagineers wanted you to "be" Peter Pan, which is why Peter wasn't even in the ride originally. Guests were confused, so they added him later. Translation: people waited an hour just to wonder where the main character was. The line is longer than Wendy's bedtime story. Peter Pan's Flight is short, simple, and still one of the most magical rides in Disney history. The line is brutal, the payoff is quick, but the memory sticks with you forever. Because in the end, everyone grows up--except this ride, and that's exactly why we love it.

I really enjoyed the Tomorrowland Transit Authority (TTA) PeopleMover in Magic Kingdom at Disney…read moreWorld. It's a relaxing ride that takes you on a tour of Tomorrowland with elevated views. The ride goes inside and out--you'll go through Space Mountain and also see Cinderella Castle, the Tomorrowland Speedway, and the retro-futuristic Astro Orbiter (to name a few attractions). I love the 1920s and 30s pulp science fiction and 1960s Space Age look (Googie architecture) of Tomorrowland. The PeopleMover at Magic Kingdom opened in 1975 (four years after the park opened) and includes a model of Progress City, Walt Disney's vision for EPCOT in the 1960s. The PeopleMover actually stopped on us when we were next to the diorama of Progress City, so I got to look at it for a while. I found the seats in the vehicles to be quite comfortable with good lower back support. There was no Lightning Lane for the PeopleMover. On a non-holiday Monday around 4:00 PM, the line was long. We waited about 10-15 minutes, which felt like a long time since we had been using Lightning Lanes for most of our recent trip to Disney World. This is the only Disney PeopleMover still in operation. I hope it never closes. The PeopleMover in Tomorrowland at Disneyland (California) opened in 1967 and closed in 1995.

The peoplemover is a nice way to get an overall view of Tomorrowland. It was originally created as…read morea concept for how Walt Disney envisioned people using various public transit types to move around a city. The continuous moving loading and unloading platform can be slowed to accommodate people with some movement challenges. It is not uncommon for the ride to shut down at times for various mechanical reasons but it is not usual for it to not be operating for extended periods of time. Overall it is a nice relaxing ride around Tomorrowland with views of the various attractions and castle. If timed just right, you can get some really cool views during the fireworks shows. It also has views into Space Mountain. Even after multiple visits we usually still ride the attraction even though it is virtually unchanged in years. Likely the next "change" will be when the updated version of the Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin attraction nears completion you may be able to start getting a sneak peak at the updates.
