Came to get breakfast at this juice bar located between Goose Island and Lincoln Park on Clyburn. It has many bowls to choose from with a crap ton of fruits and toppings to put on. Pegasus is about what to expect from these kinds of places. A bit overpriced but products are fresh. The location is also close to other fun stuff. Bowls are the main things to get here. It's about $13 or so. The prices may be kind of high but not crazy though. A few plant based choices. These go beyond the usual açaí stuff. I got the Açaí Muscle Bowl. This is a mixture of açaí, bananas, blackberries, blueberries, oat milk, and protein powder, topped with banana chips, berries, cacao nibs, granola, and peanut butter sauce. Felt like there was a lot in the bowl. This left me leaving pretty satisfied for a few hours. Filling but healthy bowls of fruits. It's got lots of menu options. Yummy vegan protein smoothies! You order at a tablet by the counter, and then they bring out your order to you. I like how they don't add sugar or artificial sweeteners but instead let fruit be the natural sweetener. Their vegan protein sits very well with my stomach, and I felt that the very berry wasn't gritty at all! Inside, there's usually enough seating where there's no issue finding a spot, since they do a lot of to go orders. My friend also tried their matcha bowl and really liked it. Stopped in for some beverages to go to the park on a hot day. The sunrise smoothie was delicious-- great recommendation from the co-owner who was very kind. He also recommended the CPB which had good flavor but the protein was a bit chalky tasting. I don't drink protein that often so maybe that is normal? Flavors were very good though. Such a cute hidden gem! Stopped in here before shopping at Trader Joe's (I mean... who can shop hungry?!) and ordered the acai bowl. It was super yummy! The bowl came with acai, blueberries, blackberries, banana, pegasus protein, topped with banana, fresh berries, coconut, chia seeds, granola, cacao nibs, peanut butter drizzle. YUM. Quiet little place, you order on an ipad so pretty limited interaction with the staff. Smoothie came out pretty quickly , the protein smoothie was unremarkable and flavorless. The bathroom is also unkept and pretty dirty. read more

Wow!!! I'm so glad we stopped in here after running some errands. We parked in front of Pegasus Protein Cafe and wanted a healthy snack. It was pretty empty the day we came - the back was booked for a special event. The two employees working were very friendly and told us to ask any questions. I ended up ordering the Muscle Bowl. They had gotten Cacao Nibs in and asked if I'd like some on my bowl. Of course! Also note that there are a lot of add-ons and modifications possible to your bowl. The portion size was huge! I felt very good about the price to portion ratio. All of the ingredients tasted very fresh and delicious. I loved all of the fresh fruit, and the cacao nips and dried coconut helped add a nice texture to the bowl. Whenever I'm in the area I will DEFINITELY stop by again! Vegan juice, shake and smoothie bar that offers some really tasty options. I like that you can build your own or add an ingredient. They also have some good choices of pre-made ones. I got a protein drink and a "milkshake". Both delicious! You can even add CBD so I did to one. Not cheap that's for sure but pretty typical for smoothies and drinks like this. They also I believe make their own vegan protein powder so that's cool. The place is welcoming with tables for pre covid times. I don't eat inside now and I don't think they offer food really except smoothie bowls. Still nice though. The employee was a little awkwardly not very friendly but nice. Parking could be better. My bowl was probably the smallest açaí bowl I've ever seen - it ended up being enough base, but the toppings were a joke. Not much granola or berries... the bananas were banana chips (??????) and my peanut butter drizzle was so small it looked like a mistake. Base tasted off cuz of the protein powder, but it grew on me / ended up tasting alright. It smells bad inside - like a bathroom cleaner or something. It was on time so they have that down at least! For $13 not impressed. Bowl was a tiny styrofoam cup, there was 2 strawberries and a pinch of granola for toppings. Also it says "juice bar" in the name, but there was no juice on the menu. A single super bored guy in there, who did not greet us upon walking in. So many great places to go and this is wasn't worth it. We will give it another shot if the owner works on the menu and overall service. 2 stars because it seemed clean. read more

Cute little juice bar in Lincoln Park. So the way that it works is that you come in and typically order through their computer system and then there is one person behind the counter making the drinks. My boyfriend got an acai bowl and enjoyed it. I had their chocolate peanut butter milkshake and it was really good. I will say this, however, this place is expensive! Employee was polite and hip. You could tell that there was love in our açaí bowls and smoothies. Unfortunately, the portion sizes were too small to fully feel the love. The interior was a bit sterile and lacking napkins. Not a horrible experience, just average. If you're looking for a small healthy treat, this wouldn't be the worst place to go. read more

I have visited twice. Hands down best smoothie joint in Chicago. It is warm and inviting inside, allows animals (brought my dog inside) and has and ginormous patio in the back. All staff were very friendly. The smoothies were a little expensive but definitely worth it!! read more

Ordered a Jujus Jam and Santorini Sunrise. Both tasted exactly the same. There was an overpowering flavor of soured oranges, and we were unable to taste any of the other fruit. Absolutely terrible. Customer service was lacking as well. You walk in, place order on tablet, and they sit it on the counter when finished. We had to ask which one was which. One made the smoothies while the other sat on his phone. Will not be returning. read more

Pegasus has great service! I recommend ordering ahead on Grubhub for convenience. The taste of my smoothie was perfect! It tastes good but not good beyond the point you can trust it. Some places will give you a milkshake with organic ingredients and pretend it's healthy. Not Pegasus! They give you the good stuff, it's good for you and you can trust them. read more

We were so excited to see this new smoothie shop open up nearby! We tried the CPB and a make-your-own smoothie and loved them both, great value for the money!! The patio was very cute and great for social distancing, and they are dog friendly. I was also impressed by the customer service. I have a food allergy and they took every precaution to make sure that my smoothie was prepared safely! We will definitely be coming back soon! read more

New place by my apartment and I was thrilled to see that they have açaí bowls. I got the basic one and really enjoyed it. The ingredients were all fresh and it was huge. You definitely get a lot for the price. I would have enjoyed it a bit more if it had some more topping options- like bee pollen, honey, and nut butter. I hope they add those ingredients to the menu in the future! I'll definitely be visiting again, they have a lovely quiet back patio to hangout. read more

Super cool little spot right on Clybourn! Really modern clean interior with a really reasonably priced menu. We had the Blue Protein Shake and it was awesome! Tasted just like blueberry pie without all the extra sugar. They also have a reallycool back patio with cool artwork and hanging lights. Meet the Business Owner: Nick H.

As a health and fitness enthusiast, I launched Pegasus Protein in 2019 as an alternative to all of the artificial and overly sweet protein powders on the market. As a consumer, I always saw new products coming out featuring the latest no-calorie sweetener. While sometimes natural, these sweeteners train our tastebuds to always want something overly sweet. Instead with Pegasus Protein, our mission statement is to provide consumers with a protein powder that is lightly sweetened with real, antioxidant rich berries and to train ourselves to not always want our food and drinks to be so sweet. After all, when trying to live a healthy lifestyle or after a tough workout, reaching for a protein shake that tastes as sweet as candy just doesn't seem like the right call!
