They are also pretty no-nonsense as in you are not going to find their walls filled with new comics and those 1:100 variants, but you will find boxes and boxes of back issues. They do have some new weekly issues, but really focus on the older stuff. And they have some pretty reasonable prices. Mike the owner is quite chatty and has been more than kind to both me and my family whenever I stop in from out of the area. This is easily the best selection of pre 2000s comics in the CNY area, but if you want post 2000s books, he has those too. A must stop for comic collectors passing through CNY.

It's alleged that Jeff W. is partial owner, so I know the staff knows their stuff, but having them treat my elderly mother and client so well demonstrates the level these guys play at. 100% better than Larger than Life. This shop is for the "true believers" and "Constant Readers," not just the "Big Bang Theory" popular kids. I have placed orders from this store twice now and both times I have had issues with shipping…read more The first time the package was extremely delayed. I waited nearly a month to receive an order for one card. I called a few times and each time I was told: "Oh! We must have missed the card. We will send it out this week"- and then it wasn't on multiple occasions. I also never received the email that it had been sent. It just showed up one day after I had assumed it wasn't coming at all. I took another gamble on the store after they were one of the few in the province to have a specific card I needed. The order came to around $30.00 CAD. I paid for it immediately. I got the confirmation email the same time. In that email it said that I would receive an email when it was shipped. A week rolls around and I still have yet to receive an email, so I give them a call on the Monday. They tell me they're a little behind, but it will be mailed out by Wednesday for sure! By Thursday, still no email. It is now Saturday and I have called again. The postal strike went out on Friday and I was worried about my order being delayed even further despite having placed the original order nearly 2 weeks ago. They didn't ship it. So now, I have no idea when the order will come. It's dependent on the strike (understandable) but my problem lies with the fact I ordered the cards 2 weeks ago. 2 weeks before the strike put them in this situation. They offered me a refund, but the one card in the order is more on the difficult end to find- so I kind of have no choice but to wait. They also told me that I could pay for tracked shipping (about $12) which is nearly half of what the order costs. I'm just very frustrated with the entire situation. It shouldn't have taken so long to mail the order out in the first place. A week I understand- but 2? On the phone I'm constantly passed around saying they have to wait for this person or that- and when I'm given a final answer/date, it's never met. I'm going to wait on my order- hopefully the strike is resolved quickly.. but I won't be ordering from the store again. Yes, their collection is wonderful- I'll definitely give them that! They have a wide range of options so if you're in a tight pinch like I was, I get it- really, just be ready to wait awhile to get the order.
