There's a little swamp nearby so you can see some wildlife and a beautiful View of the river. It's really down in there and there's nothing around shop wise. There's only a few residential people and private property that you can't go on. I would really hope that this station can become a big thing because it's perfect for this little area. They could easily put a few shops and a parking lot right there. All in all a great station for a photo op especially when the sunsets.

This is a commuter train and is nice to take and less crowded than beacon station. The reason i give this location 4 stars is because it does not go to Grand central direct. The station itself is small. There is a private parking lot which i love because you can get a spot and it has never been crowded when i have taken the train out of here. Overall. My train was also on time, and I arrived quickly and safely at my destination. I did find it confusing that the person collecting tickets didn't bother to show up and do that until we got to the 125th street station, which is the second to last stop, but that didn't alter my experience in any way.

There is a large parking lot for residents in the Harriman vicinity and surrounding counties. This station has signs of MTA Metro-North Railroad and logo but the trains that stop here is actually NJ Transit which operates on time. There are self-service ticket machines that function 24/7. There is also a small indoor heated sheltered waiting area which is useful during inclement extreme cold and rainy weather. Not sure if there are any facilities at this rail station.
