Peebles has a great shoe collection and their sales are fantastic. I don't shop for clothes as it's not really my style and their plus size section is a little lacking. I'm not about to pay $78 for Lee jeans I can get at Walmart for $26. While selection and sale pricing is great, their customer service could use a lot of work. As I approached one employee to ask a question, she looked me up and down, and walked away! Now, I'm not dressed like Martha Stewart on a day out but I'm not complete bum material either. I shrugged it off and took my purchase to the register. The cashier, Janice, was very chatty with the people in front of me, to the point of slowing down the line enough to make one woman walk away. She was smiling, happy, and seemed very friendly. When I got to the register, I said "hello, how are you today?" and got a "Hi, Will you be paying with your Peebles charge?" "No, I have a gift card" she sighed like it was a problem and when I told her I had a coupon, well, she just scanned it and told me the price. No "thank you, no have a nice day" Just handed me my bag and looked past me to the next person. Seriously?! I checked to make sure my teeth were clean and I nothing hanging out of my nose when I got in the car! There is really no reason to be snotty to customers no matter how they are paying for something. I usually overlook little things but it's not the first time I've seen this kind of snobby behavior by the employees here. I won't be back. There are other nice boutiques in the area who will gladly take my money with a smile. read more

This is such a great store! Peebles brings department stores to small towns and saves us from Walmart... Carries national brands and employees friendly people. Also offers promotions with real value - makes their ads & mail actually worth LOOKING at. read more
