They didn't code the visit as a wellness visit and coded as a meet and greet with a new doctor. This was despite me not requesting a change of primary care provider. The change was only necessary because the provider left McLeod. After I got bills from McLeod , I contacted them and they eventually corrected their own bill but they are refusing to contact labcorp with updated coding so that labcorp can correct their bill. I have spent too many hours of my time on the phone with blue cross and with labcorp and they both tell my it has to be the provider who initially ordered the blood draws that has to contact them in order for this to be corrected.

He asked me to take him to a different hospital. We went to seacoast McLeod And he was admitted. This was really disheartening. On another occasion I visited the office for an apt and needed blood work. After the visit with Dr Sturcken, I was talking with the lady taking blood and mentioned an issue I thought I may have and asked if they were taking blood for my thyroid as well. She said no but she could easily add it. Dr. Sturcken literally got frustrated and stated, "I already put your charts away," and was upset that she now needed to get them back out and add that. The latest upset is due to me moving out of state. A prescription I have is ending soon and I don't have a dr apt here for three months. Mind you, it took me a year to find a new dr, so I understand the inability to see me to renew more prescriptions. I was just hopeful she could refill it for a couple more months. She said no, so I asked if I should cut them in half to hold me over and she said she can't offer advice on that. I guess just overall, I've had multiple negative experiences with Dr. Sturcken.

Doctor Jason Leonard is one of the BEST doctors I've encountered anywhere. He listens to you, even…read morethough I can tell he already knows the answer shortly into our conversation. I also really appreciate that he's not a pill pusher, but does prescribe the meds one needs. He doesn't just throw a pill at a problem. He also refers one to specialists as needed. I cannot recommend Dr. Leonard highly enough. He's brilliant, kind, and patient. Also, Sandy, his assistant, is AMAZING! She is very quick to help and she works night and day and holidays. I can also highly recommend the lab techs and the young man who gave me the CT scan. For the first time in my life, I wasn't panicked. He made me feel at ease. Finally, a shout-out to Miss Peggy who schedules the appointments. She is wonderful and kind.

If you have any balance above $25 they will not let you come in until you have cleared that up. I have always taken care of my bills, but sometimes it's harder than other times to pay it down. Rising health care costs do not help that either. I have at times been upset that they have not taken the time to discuss my test results at all or have not gotten the medicine I have asked for when I went in and had to call back and wait a day or two to get what I have already asked for. They have also had personal discussions on the phone and with other staff while I am waiting to check out. There are always ways to improve service and I generally think they try.
