I was not given a chance to voice concerns or ask questions at the end of the visit. There was no clarifying questions asked about my family or personal health history. For example, I listed insomnia as a diagnosis. I am not taking any medication for it. No questions about how I am sleeping. I put down I had a pulmonary embolism 1.5 years ago with a positive family history, but no questions about why I am not taking a blood thinner. I have a recurring health issue, but no questions about that. No request to have my medical records sent. Did not ask if I needed refills (I didn't). This was a visit where information gathering was expected and important for upcoming care. I feel that opportunity was wasted. I was disappointed that this was a no go for me. I have had excellent providers the past 25 years plus, so maybe my expectations were unrealistic.

My doctor is the best, he takes the time to explain things in simple terms and gives me his full attention. I've always had good experiences with the nurses and receptionists, they've been pleasant and helpful. The only area where the staff seemed to be negative was in the lab. But this was some time ago and maybe there's new staff in there now? I've never had any problems with payments and insurance, it is processed smoothly. Prescriptions are processed promptly per the rules. I would have to say the wait time is average. It just depends on how backed up they are. Sometimes I can get in and out extremely quickly and other times there is a bit of a wait. But that's true in any business. Overall I think you get what you give as far as attitude is considered. The staff is used to dealing with upset patients who aren't pleasant. If you go in there with a smile and act courteous, they will likely respond in kind. (except for the lab apparently ) My family is very happy here.

After the visit with Dr Sturcken, I was talking with the lady taking blood and mentioned an issue I thought I may have and asked if they were taking blood for my thyroid as well. She said no but she could easily add it. Dr. Sturcken literally got frustrated and stated, "I already put your charts away," and was upset that she now needed to get them back out and add that. The latest upset is due to me moving out of state. A prescription I have is ending soon and I don't have a dr apt here for three months. Mind you, it took me a year to find a new dr, so I understand the inability to see me to renew more prescriptions. I was just hopeful she could refill it for a couple more months. She said no, so I asked if I should cut them in half to hold me over and she said she can't offer advice on that. I guess just overall, I've had multiple negative experiences with Dr. Sturcken.

I have been coming to see Dr Leonard for several years and I like him as a doctor. He is concerned…read moreabout my overall well being. The problem is the practice and the management. If you have any balance above $25 they will not let you come in until you have cleared that up. I have always taken care of my bills, but sometimes it's harder than other times to pay it down. Rising health care costs do not help that either. I have at times been upset that they have not taken the time to discuss my test results at all or have not gotten the medicine I have asked for when I went in and had to call back and wait a day or two to get what I have already asked for. They have also had personal discussions on the phone and with other staff while I am waiting to check out. There are always ways to improve service and I generally think they try.
