I honestly don't understand the prior low reviews other than to take it as a' response received'. The entire staff were accommodating & patient, did we have a few minor bumps-yes, but MINOR. The MA perfectly gave us the right amount of humor & response needed as a new patient with nervousness and "what'if's" that exponentially were settled right away & the doctor came in the room with expertise & efficiency! He qued on me being a visual learner and promptly said "actually, follow me, I can show you the x-ray images" and I'm ever so grateful for that let alone the humor he showcased while vocally showing me EXACTLY what I was looking at/the situation. My only harp to say, the staff member who came in to do further images/x-ray's seemed to hate her job & was a 'wet blanket' of a personality but hey! We all have our moments & I know this field is hard! If you're looking to have a doc to sugar coat things and hold your hand 100% through it, this is not the place BUT if you want efficiency & accuracy with a splash of humor this is it! I don't think I've ever posted a review of anything. But Dr. Warman, Joshua, and the rest are truly elite. Just as important, they are CONSISTENTLY elite. we have had 4 appointments and they were all an absolute treat. It doesn't even make sense how much better their office is than anywhere else I've been. I'm literally praying for my son to break more bones. read more

I'm sad to have to write this because I actually think Dr. Warman is a good physician but here goes. I read all the reviews and still decided to see Dr. Warman last week due to him caring for my son in 2019 and having a good experience with him being able to put my sons bone back together without surgery and having to put hardware in it when it looked like that may be the only option. Fast forward to last week, I couldn't get into my preferred ortho who has handled my sons injuries since so I decided against better judgment after the reviews I read to visit Dr. Warman again. When I arrived I was told the estimate would be $500-$700. I told the front office lady if there was a possibility of a payment plan and she looked back at Michelle and asked her and Michelle said NO, you have to pay everything now in a very rude tone. I said ok, well I guess I will just go elsewhere. The other lady said well maybe we should ask Dr. Warman in case he gets upset. Michelle rolled her eyes rudely and went to ask him. She then came back and said, he said you can pay half and leave a card on file. I said ok thats perfectly fine. As I went to sit down, I called my insurance company because I knew that my deductible was not $1000 and furthermore that I had paid quite a bit of it. Sure enough I was told my son's deductible was only $500 and I had already paid $279 into it. I went to the front to tell them and Michelle just said "oh ok we can change it. " So basically had I not checked they would have charged me way more than I was supposed to. Even then I still paid over $300 when I left which is probably more than I even owed but I was so frustrated by the entire experience that I just paid and left. I wouldn't be surprised if I get another bogus bill later from them. I feel like Michelle was trying to shame me because I asked for payment options, not bothering to know my situation. I'm a single mom, I have insurance and I'm a police officer, I wasn't trying to get out of paying or anything but I didn't have $700 to pull out that day. Now, the other issue, they were short handed so we spent 3.5 hours there total, waiting in the room forever to be seen the majority of the time. I'm used to Dr. Warman's cut and dry attitude but this time it was even more than usual. He told my son that if he kept playing football he would keep breaking his bones and coming in and made a comment about my son needing a haircut (he is black and has dreads), and was just sarcastic the entire visit. When casting my son, he didn't give him instructions on what he was doing, my son flinched in pain and Dr. Warman snapped at him to be still. Although I trust his judgement as a doctor, his bedside manner is horrible , I don't know if he is burned out or what but he completely lacked compassion. I would have been willing to overlook alot of that but his office staff is the main reason I will not be returning, but the whole experience from beginning to end was horrible. The only good part of it was Rolando, the cast tech, he was awesome. I switched over to our regular ortho Dr. Jeremy Rush at Sports Med, he is friendly and awesome as usual, his staff only charged me a copay and then bills insurance as I've been accustomed to, and I actually feel like they care about my son's welfare, not just the money he would provide the practice. read more

I read the reviews before we went, and almost cancelled the appointment! The only reason I didn't was because our trusted pediatrician recommended Dr. Warman. I'm so glad we went to PediOrthoSA! The desk staff were all kind and helpful (they are serious about parents needing ID, they tell you this when you schedule an appt). We never had to wait very long to see the doc. Tech/Nurse (sorry I didn't get his official title) Joshua made my son and I feel so at ease. Joshua has a wonderful spirit and his smile and positive attitude, efficient manner all made what was a really stressful situation (kid had broken bones!) feel not so stressful. He even went the extra mile and told us about another cast color available that would match my son's outfit! When Dr. Warman came in, he smiled, was funny and always had a joke for my son on subsequent visits. He was efficient and didn't keep us any longer than needed. He is a skilled doctor and my son healed great. The X-ray tech and checkout ladies were so nice too. Definitely great care given here, I didn't expect the doctor to hold my hand, just to help my child heal. We were treated with kindness and respect here in an efficient manner. read more

Dr Warman is an amazing doctor. We went in thinking we were definitely having surgery on our 7 year old's elbow. With some time and careful positioning Dr Warman was able to position the arm to avoid a surgery. We highly recommend him. read more

As a first patient of Dr. Warman it was also our last. When we first called to make an appointment, we understood a mask must be worn, which we understand. The day of the appointment while in back room, we were told we must wear a certain mask as this is a requirement for Dr. Warman. What's upsetting is that we were not told about a certain mask and there were no signs display at doctor office of certain mask must be worn. That was red flag one. Red flag two when Dr. Warman walked into the room with no introduction to child or parent and right away told child to do this and that. As a patient we have to feel welcome and would like to know who is Dr. Warman. Especially working with a child you have to make the child feel welcome and inform the patient who you are and why you would asking certain things from patient. I've never seen an adult make no contact with a child just to inform child what to do. This was not ok with child or parent. As part of Dr. Warman office commitment is dedicated to providing quality pediatric orthopedic care to the children. This was not the experience we received. After reviewing our child x-rays, Dr. Warman explained I would like to see your child in three months. WOW!!!! Not even here is what your child has, or options or even guidance to what our child can or can not do. Above all we wanted more information on what is to be expected or why in regards to the follow up. By this point I just explain to Dr. Warman we would not be coming back. He said ok and walked away. I'm thankful for the unwelcome visit and non-clear communication, because if not we would of continue to come back and learned this the hard way. What I found even more sad is that their mission is to be the leading pediatric orthopedic practice and value of every person but with their service, the office is far from it. Only positive feedback I have is the medical assistant that was kind to us while taking our son basic information. I would strongly not recommend Dr. Warman, who was more concerned about what mask we had on then introducing or communicating with his patients. read more

My son broke his arm and needed surgery and follow up treatment. We were referred to PediOrthoSA and Dr. Warman. The office staff, was so friendly and amazing to work with. My wife and I, and my son, were VERY impressed with Dr. Warman. He is very knowledgeable, thorough and we found him to have a positive bed-side-manor. To share some insight, Dr. Warman has a 'brief' and 'to the point' approach, which I appreciated. Instead of overexplaining, he'll briefly tell you his assessment or update, and you can ask additional questions. I highly recommend Dr. Warman and PediOrthoSA. read more

Dr. Warman and his staff are amazing! The front desk was able to get my 3 yo daughter in same-day after she injured her wrist over the weekend. Dr. Warman's treatment was effective and he answered all of my questions. Joshua made the cast application and removal process less scary for my toddler and was so kind and great in his interactions with her. The x-ray tech was also kind and clearly used to working with pediatric patients that may be intimidated (especially right now while everyone has to wear masks). The lady at the check out desk was also very sweet; she made sure to tell my daughter she did great and gave her a sucker. We appreciate the attentiveness of the staff and the effective treatment of my daughter's injury which is healed completely. read more

Absolutely the worst experience we've ever had in a doctors office. I would NEVER recommend Dr. Warman or his office to anyone. Felt like all we were was a number and a billing opportunity. We were at the office an hour and fifty minutes (which the waiting is totally fine as long as you get the attention you need when it's your turn) and we saw the doctor a total of 56 seconds. He didn't even greet us by using the words hi or hello when he walked into the room, mind you it was for my already nervous and injured five year old. He was barely even in the room standing 4 steps away from the door the entire time. Offered no explanation to us what so ever, even after I questioned his direct contradiction to what we were previously told by another doctor out of state, and didn't answer ANY of my questions because apparently he had no time in his schedule for the appointment we had is what it seemed. Worst bed side manner, and honestly the office staff is no better. I've worked in a medical office for over ten years and I always try and do damage control if I know a patient is leaving our office uneasy or not happy, not them. They just wanted my debit card to pay what we owed and send us on our way. We've cancelled our follow up and will gladly go elsewhere. read more

We have not been impressed with this office. They are consistently over an hour behind schedule, yet we are here before our appointment time! There have been excuses after excuses as to why they are so far behind. Even one of the workers stated they schedule too many appointments in one day! I understand falling behind schedule, but this is ridiculous! They are now over a hour and half behind and we still haven't seen the doctor! We feel that's completely unacceptable. read more

I wish I had read reviews before taking my child here. Terrible experience every time. Having an injured child comes with its own stress nobody needs an unresponsive doctor, rude staff and hours in the waiting room. Our appointment today was at 2:30, I arrived at 2:15 and was not seen until 4:30. By that time the staff was rude and rushed us out so they could go home. Everyone in the waiting room was unhappy and everyone waited at least an hour past their scheduled appointment. Aside from the waiting, the staff gave me three different answers to my question about my son's cracked cast. Ultimately I was never given a straight answer. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

We felt it was necessary to seek a second medical opinion after my son's injury, since the business end of Dr. Warman's practice is dangerously incompetent. Multiple appointments were booked under my son's name -- appointments that obviously weren't meant for him, since they referred to a different injury and different stage of treatment altogether. When I disputed the accuracy of these appointments upon being called for an appointment reminder, the staff suggested several times that I was the one who had the details of my son's treatment wrong. Of less concern, but still noteworthy, is the inaccuracy in their billing practices. I have received several different estimates, and agreed to several different payment plans, without receiving a schedule of payments due or an itemized bill. I was informed that a payment -- that I had not authorized or been informed of -- was declined, as I was looking at a bill sitting on my desk for a different amount, and when I asked for an explanation, I wasn't given one. It turns out, according to my bank, that the office staff had entered my payment information inaccurately; meanwhile, my husband and I received several hostile phone calls and no meaningful apology for the error. As I felt uncomfortable with the way my child's care and personal information was handled, I sought care elsewhere (who knows how many more unnecessary visits I might have had to this practice had I not done so!). Should any of my four children require orthopedic care in the future, I will certainly be seeking other providers -- such as the new Children's Hospital of San Antonio facility opening just steps from the doors of this practice. As there is no shortage of physicians in the San Antonio area, I would recommend finding care elsewhere for your injured children. read more
