"Therapy Source is owned and operated by Kate Donovan. Kate has over 20 years of direct care…read moreexperience (in the field, as an owner, and a patient). Kate set out to provide "therapeutic" services that serve the person's needs and not the agency's bottom dollar. Her continual ambition to grow and exceed expectations has led to a superior therapy provider and exceptional company. " Direct Care is not Therapy related in any way. This owner has been a therapy service owner for less than a year and she is a superior therapy provider? Let's talk about bottom dollar. How many therapist left and were monitored for items they took home when they left. Items they payed for or were attributed with providing to their patients. This owner spent some money updating a facility and created a sensory room that if you send a sensitive kid into, will likely leave your kid over stimulated and depending on how sensitive, in seizures. The rest of the facility, they tried to put too much effort into and took away from what was there. Let's talk about free t-shirts for staff reviews, better yet, let's talk about anything in exchange for a review. Believe I will push that to yelp leadership. This owner has obliterated anything that the original owner and therapy team built. The therapist are awesome, I won't take that away from them. They do their best for their patients and if they feel they can't, they help find one that will. However, this owner will leave you feeling like you should have chosen another place. Maybe the signs that say therapist/clients only, then try to construe recording sessions which is a HIPPA violation under the guise of "public domain security". I honestly do not know of many original therapist that are still at Therapy Source, so I cannot personally vouch for those that there. The ones who were there, were amazing. Ask around and everyone will tell you the same. Do your homework before choosing this provider. I assure you, there is a better option available.

I called today to have my son discharged from therapy. I spoke to Laura and I very kindly and…read morecalmly made the request. She was immediately rude and unprofessional in her response and I addressed that quickly. She asked what company I would be switching to, I was undecided but as a parent had the right to choose where we went. She talked over me and cut me off as I was speaking. I asked who her supervisor was and she replied she was. I told her she needed to rethink how she spoke to parents and told her she was rude and unprofessional, she did not apologize. She stated she was unable to grant my request until next week. I was told afterwards she had spoken to other parents in the same manner. Parents should be treated with respect, I give respect if that is what I am given but I will not be talked to as though I am inferior to anyone. A company that offers therapy services should have the patient's interest at heart and not see them as a dollar sign. That's not who I would want to represent my company, especially one that works with children. I read other posts for them and noted mostly the positive remarks are those of employees, not of parents.
