I was referred by a friend to this office , my daughter back has been bothering her for some time called this office was told she would receive a x ray and they would adjust her and if they seen any red flags that she may need to go to internal doctor they would let me know of course and maybe if she may need to come back after that visit will be $45.00 but first visit is $125.00 including x Ray they worked me in that day for a 2:45 appt arrived a little earlier and on time , didn't realize the dr himself was the guy behind the receptionist making phone calls back and various office duties until he called a client in to the back office , after checking in and waiting a hour at 3:45 we were called back , he advises me that he will not do a x Ray because she is 15 and there was no need this is before he even touched her , asked if price would be less he said no .. okay he goes in for the adjustment with a massage roller and just a few pushes and pops and ask her to stand she has no relief than to tell me to come back early as Tomm for $45.00 to finish adjustment when I responded with a surprise of really Tomm ? Never told that when I called he then responds with " I have to make a living too" well so do I he never even lifted her shirt to see the puffiness at the bottom of her spine takes her to a room and has a lady to do a heated tingled ultra sound and off we were ! No relief and no going back to this experience did I think it was a magic visit and she would be all better , no I did not but did I think I would have more clarity of her problem , yes ... this chrio experience left no relief , just a lighter wallet because he had to make a living too Bad statement to hear from a doctor .. read more

I went to Maiden Chiropractic in 2014, I believe. Someone mentioned that their were considering go their so I thought that I should post about my experience. I was having a problem with my back so I made an appointment with James. Nice guy, seemed to know what he was doing. Gave me an initial check over WITHOUT taking a X-Rays, which I thought was strange. Any Chiropractor that I have ever been to will not touch a patient without X-Rays. He adjusted my back and I could tell it was better. Then he sat me in a chair to check out the rest of my spine. He was gently moving my neck back and forth until i heard a SNAP. He violently snapped my neck in one direction and then the other. I had immediate pain and I told him so. He told me it was from the adjustment and it would go away. It did not. I think that he realized he did something wrong, as he let me come back for as many free visits as it would take for me to feel better. Neck stretching, water jet bed, he tried everything. Nothing helped. I ended up going to a Neurologist in Hickory for an opinion. After getting a expensive MRI, he said that the C5 and C6 vertebrae were damaged and that the only way to get relief is to get a surgery called Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion or ACDF. He continued to tell me that what happened is that violent cracking of the spine accelerated the spine damage that I already had due to age. So I would have had to get the surgery, but probably not for 15-20 years as my spine deteriorated. As this was major, I wanted a second opinion. So I went to one of the best Neurologist in Charlotte. After another MRI, he concurred with the other doctor. Although he did not know at the time I had seen another Neurologist. So his opinion was his own. In the end, I ended up having to get the ACDF surgery. 18k later and I have less pain and a reduced 20 percent motion in my neck. I now have a metal plate and 4 screws in my neck thanks to my visit to Maiden Chiropractic Clinic. I have been to many Chiropractors in my life. I have never had one that violently cracks your neck as an adjustment. And never have I ever been adjusted with a doctor taking X-Rays first. I also found out that is almost impossible to sue a Chiropractor. They claim that you had prior issues and what they did just made it worse. But they did not cause the problem. Anyways, that is my experience. I never asked for my neck to be adjusted and I was not having any problems with my neck at that time. read more

Dr. Amy Moon-Cushman and her husband own this practice and have been wonderful for my husband and I! I started going right after the birth of my son and have really benefited from it! I made my husband an appointment and we both go WEEKLY! My husband sees Dr. James Cushman! I've also had Amy adjust my infant a couple times! I would recommend them to anyone! I had never been to the chiropractor before meeting the Cushmans but they make you feel so relaxed and explain everything to you! Absolutely worth it! read more
