We started with parenting training for 1st 3 sections to learn reflux massage, and move to 1:1. I can see my kid's focus has improved significantly after 5 weeks in. On top of that, they also do regular OT but goes much deeper in terms of working with some behaviors as well. We also go to two other OT offices besides LF. What makes the big difference is they really care! Eric is very good at communicating what he and my son is working, how he did it, and what progress he has made at every section. Eric's good at setting up realistic goals and measures it closely. His communication,patience, on top of his OT skills made a big difference for us to learn about our son's sensory needs and how to handle them. LF is outa network for us. It's not cheap, but you won't need to waste time to go anywhere. They really know what they are doing with our kid. Highly recommended.

This is especially nice for children who are overstimulated with too much going on. They have a mini parent book library, and lots fun games on the walls for children to be engaged. They are helpful, but not pushy, which is lovely for a family that is trying to keep up regular visits but occasionally have things come up (like sicknesses). I've experienced nothing but kindness from them. I like how they have text communication, which is a very nice tool to navigate absences and other things that come up. This review though is mostly for Dustin Losli. If this review allowed up to 100 stars, Dustin would receive all of them from me. My child was diagnosed with apraxia of speech and has been receiving care since he was 18 months old. I've been to see many therapists in a variety of settings (East Bay Regional, private, and via school district). By far, Dustin is the best therapist we have ever had. I can't rave enough about him. So much so, that I followed him to Therapy At Play from another facility. We now have doubled the time to get to speech therapy in following him, but HE IS THAT GOOD. Dustin is one of a few speech therapists trained in the PROMPT method. It is very difficult to find a specialist in this speech system in California. It was by luck that we stumbled upon Dustin and learned about this system. PROMPT is "a tactile-kinesthetic approach to speech therapy that uses manual guidance and touch cues to help individuals, particularly children, improve their ability to produce speech sounds." In having a child with apraxia of speech, PROMPT gives invaluable feedback to them in training their mouths to perform the correct movements in producing a sound. No other therapy has come close to assisting my son like PROMPT has. And Dustin understands this therapy style inside and out. He is such a gem and an invaluable asset to Therapy At Play. There is hardly anyone out there doing what Dustin is doing. In addition to his credentials and expertise, Dustin has become a mentor to my son. He started seeing my son when he was around 5 years old. My son had tons of energy and a very short attention span. Dustin has transformed his ability to pay attention, know there are consequences in not following (safety) rules, and help him know how to handle his frustration when it comes up during therapy. He is pretty much the only therapist who was able to successfully get my son to perform multiple speech practices in a session. Something invaluable in trying to assist apraxia. As I've worked with Dustin for a few years now, I've seen what an incredible human being he is. I am so grateful for being matched with him in therapy and feel incredibly lucky every time we have a session with him. I have the feeling we won the lottery every time I see him create a win with my son. It's what every parent hopes to feel. With Dustin's guidance, I've seen my son bloom far more than I could have ever hoped for. I am hopeful for many more sessions with Dustin - my son now looks up to him as a role model in his life, as well as a safe place to fail, and learn. We had an awful experience with our child. I enrolled him for three weeks of summer 2024. Then we…read moreenrolled him for afterschool program. He is a fourth grader. Until third grade, he went to different after school program but this time one of his friend went there so I enrolled him. On month three, they mail me that my son has serious mental health issues and they can not continue. They gave me two weeks notice to withdraw my kid. After one week the director told me my child has behavioral issues that needs to be consulted or treated! Well his school and other afterschool never informed me! I talk to his school teacher and she informed no issues at all. I asked Lauren the director why she didn't inform me during three weeks of summer camp? She told me she wanted but didn't know I was enrolling him for afterschool! That was the answer. My son went to different summer camp before their one. No issues at all. Second month, my son was having nightmares not to go there and this time we set up a meeting. The teachers told us they will take care of his needs. His needs are he wants help of his Russian school of mathematics homework and breaks from their own stressful curriculum. They said Russian math school is their rival so they won't help! They told us they will give him breaks and I told them I am not worried about their curriculum because my son is at the good side of his school so I am not concerned of his education. He never goes afterschool with homework. He finished at school. They told me my son multiple time told them "HE is not a good person. He doesn't have any point of existence." "HE wants to nuke the whole world" "He wants to crashed to the windshield of the car and doesn't want to wear a seatbelt". He did says all out of his frustration of that creepy place. Teachers treated him so bad that he just wants all the negative thoughts. A nine year old having nightmares of a new afterschool means a lot. The director Lauren didn't inform me any of those when happened. She mailed me with a date of withdrawal which is against California licensing. I informed my son's teacher. She was surprised the way they address his behavioral issues because none of those happening at school. I withdraw him right away and put him to another facility. Asked for what teachers thinking about him after two months. The teachers answer was "He is a nice addition to their classroom". So this management and director doesn't know and doesn't care about children. They wants your money and specific children. The children who will sit down on a space until parents will pick up. Children wants some moving will be addressed as a behavioral issue child when no one else before informed parents. They pushed my son to act crazy and put a notice of withdrawal because they have lots of waitlist of children who are quite and can sit on a space for three to four hours. Others will get a withdrawal notice after one or two weeks. Business will run fast too.

The daycare offers a warm, family-centered environment where all the teachers and staff are friendly, supportive, and incredibly accommodating. We've especially appreciated their flexibility when we needed it most. While there was a period of staff changes in mid-2024, Shilpa, the owner, was proactive in addressing our concerns and ensuring our son continued to receive the care and developmental support he needed. Thanks to their dedication, he's thriving and hitting all his developmental milestones. The curriculum is engaging and age-appropriate. Our son constantly surprises us with new things he's learned, from days of the week to counting to 100! We also love the regular updates through the mobile app, which make our post-pickup conversations more interactive and fun. Some of our favorite moments have been the Christmas concert (adorable chaos) put on by the teachers and the drop-in dance sessions, which give the kids a chance to burn off energy in a fun way. Our son might just become a professional breakdancer. haha. On top of all this, the cost is very reasonable, considering the full-day care, snacks/lunch provided, and overall quality of the program. I had a really weird experience with this school, but the main issue was with a "dance teacher" name Jamie Aston who was hosting some type of "Disney Camp", if that's what you call playing it's a small world and having them jump around with ribbons. My daughter went to try it out on her first day, it was so unstructured and ammeter, but was planning to let me kid participate for the remainder of the week if she had fun. By the next morning, I got this very tactless email (in photo) which I decided to just dump the class at that point bc why are you hassling me for $150 on her first day? Which is separate from the actual tuition and enrollment fees and you knew we were doing a trail run?? She asked my 2 yr old to tell the class about herself and was expecting her to answer questions that required actual stories and details... which shows lack of experience dealing with toddlers. I asked the Director Stephanie about how long she's been teaching dance and working with kids , and this is the response I got which clearly shows she discussed what I said to Jamie. The next day, she gave me a very nasty look, I asked her was there a problem and she was ready to combat, which she did I front of her class/ camp of 2 yr olds. It got so heated that I took my child completely out of the school in DAY 2! The administrative staff did nothing and allowed her to disrespect me, and no one ever contacted me after the fact so clearly they allow this behavior from a third party ... disappointing and completely unacceptable. As for the school itself, I was literally on the fence the whole time prior to this incident as I stayed for most of her first day to observe. I did like the price and that they have a cook that serves lunch, but hated their potty training system. They have your 2 yr old do it by themselves with no help, and they walk around with no underwear. One kid took his off and sat in their activity rug with it all out ( unsanitary) my daughter had never seen a penis until then. They didn't even notice yet unruffled, like a normal reoccurring thing . I could only imagine what goes on when a parent isn't around watching. Also, some staff were friendly and some were not, also seemed very young and inexperienced be running a class. There were a few other things k can't remember but will add if I do. Just know that you get what you pay for with this place.

Great owner, and the most wonderful staff!…read more My daughter have been coming here since last summer, after absolutely enjoyed all 3 weeks of her summer camp, I signed her up for the annual plan, she's been coming in consistently every week, and it is one of her highlights of the week she always looks forward to! My daughter sometimes struggles with staying put and pay attention, the instructors are all incredibly skilled and more importantly patient! My daughter especially enjoy the circuits work in addition to learning coding, very good to have some hands on balance. We recently had her birthday party there, it was drop off, so the patents got to go and enjoy a couple drinks near by while the children had such a fun time! Hands down the best perk of being an annual member! We love it here, and I see my kids coming here for the foreseeable future!

He said they told him how to sign onto the computer, but then he'd be playing on Minecraft the entire day with little supervision and next to zero instruction. He was basically playing Minecraft for the entire time he was there and that was it. He had friends in the class as well and they also verified the lack of any direction or instruction. At the end of the week, we asked again what he had learned and he promptly said, "Nothing." I don't like leaving negative reviews, but this one deserved putting the calories into. She was incredibly kind and patient, understanding our family's needs. The transition was made so seamless and welcoming for us. Right from the beginning, even before our child started school, Anju made sure we had all necessary documents, giving us ample time and accommodating our busy schedule. About the school and its activities: The team is fantastic, and the teachers are well-educated. There are tons of activities, all following a curriculum-oriented approach. We receive daily updates on books read (in case we want to share them at home), songs sung, circle time, outdoor play, and fun indoor activities when the weather doesn't allow outside time. Activities range widely--baking bread, painting, dancing, creative play, and so much more. With these daily updates, we feel connected and well-informed about our child's day. This school is a very happy place filled with positive reinforcements and encouragement, and our daughter had a wonderful time here. We will miss the school and only wish we didn't live so far away.
