They helped me when I got married & took my husband & his children ( my step-kids) into their practice. Later when I had children , with special needs, they handled them well . I had major issues from their birth, but Dr "J" wouldn't give up on me. He sent me to multiple types of therapy (water, message, dry needling & more) . he helped me when I had to take in my elderly mother with Dementia. When I was hurt at work & eventually DISABLED. He assisted with sending me to specialist for my Bicuspid Aortic Heart Valve & a connective tissue disorder, helped with pre-screening for 20 surgeries . I have trusted them with my & my family's health & life . They cared , they knew us by name and they were very nice/friendly & professional. Unfortunately, I could not afford to remain in Montgomery County once retired - we miss you all .

They said since I haven't been there in a few years I have to complete new patient paperwork. Fine, no issues. They confirmed my insurance, checking that nothing has changed and I said yes, after they put me on multiple holds. They said they can't make an appointment until after I come in with the forms. Husband tried to call and was passed around from office staff to office staff and after confirming insurance info, date of birth, and name, they said they no longer take Aetna. Their website shows otherwise. Apparently they take only Medicare and a couple others.

I cannot applaud Montgomery Family Medicine enough. We have a personal relationship with most of the staff so we get the attentioin we need. When I could not fit in recently, staff suggested an urgent care which I did--and that was a rarity. I love their policy of not carrying "controlled substances" in the office. In short, it's the best medical facility of which we were patients in decades. I had a minor concern that I thought was more serious. I was referred to a general surgeon and it was taken care of in no time. I needed several tests, and some of them I got on the way home at an X-ray facility on the way! His office over a year ago was located in Briggs Chaney Road--almost looked like a home medical office. Space was warming and vintage looking. His wife (who was the receptionist/business manager) was so friendly and welcoming. I had my annual physical and followed up thereafter for future appointments. Dr. Glancy is such a great physician. He's friendly, has a calm demeanor which exudes peace and tranquility. He's very thorough and gentle. This year his office was moved to Olney--and he is a physician at the Medstar Mongtomery General Hospital facility. He may have a new office, but he has remained true to his calling. He is a pleasant person - NOT adversarial at all....he seems to want to work with the patient and find solutions, not just criticize them for not taking better care of themselves. He does spend a lot of time typing into a laptop, but he is multitasking - listening and talking while he does the typing. In emergencies, he will confer on the telephone during off-hours. The office staff are unusually helpful and courteous. Wait times used to be a little long, but since he has associated his practice with MDVIP, that is no longer a problem. I am not a fan of the MDVIP service but it isn't enough of a problem to detract from an otherwise excellent practice.

Found out the hard way, they did not do or prescribe what I wanted period and staff should be aware of this or ask before making an appointment. $111.98 down the drain! and pushy to get me to make another appointment to give me part of what I needed. It seems like they want you to keep coming back to get what should have been down the first time. I should have know better. There does not seem like there are any doctors out there anymore. Most are scared to give certain prescriptions but that is why they are there. Not at all like who I went to who retired and the one before him and before him etc. They were real doctors unlike what you have now.
