This place is always a hassle. Waiting 30 plus minutes every time for an appt, so no consideration for other people's time. The last time we were there they weren't even sure what insurance they accepted. Try to get a referral for my daughter to see her gynecologist and that's not possible because she has to come in and blow another half day and pay for another office visit. You would think with all of the bad reviews they would do something, but clearly they don't care as there is a high demand for Dr.'s in the area. read more

This place is a piece of work. Have a sick kid and want them to see their pediatrician asap? HA! Please wait 3-4 days, it's the earliest we can get them in. Need a shot for your kid? Plan to wait 30-45 minutes UNTIL someone even enters the room... 60-minutes later, you are finally getting service that is then rushed. Want to speak to your pediatrician direct? HA, no... you deal with incompetent call center. Biggest mistake was coming here for our child. Such a liability. read more

Let's normalize appreciating your patients time how Doctors demand their time to be appreciated. If we (patients) are late to appointments, doctor offices are quick to cancel or charge a fee. However, when we (patients) are sitting in the waiting room for what has now been over 30 minutes all we get is I'm sorry, they should be with you shortly. This is ridiculous! How about we work on not trying to book as many patients as possible and get your scheduling correct. It's no way I should have to be in a waiting room or waiting in the patient room for this amount of time. Time to find a new doctor! read more

If zero stars was possible that's my feedback... I had sick visit appt w 2 children and waited for HOUR AND HALF ... I asked nurse to check on where Dr is at w timing and she literally ignored me .. after waiting another 15mins I walked out.. as I passed front desk I stated that I had not been seen and do not charge my insurance. This place treats you like a literal assembly line. There is no consistency, no specialized care, you're kids is just another illness. You can't ever call without spending 10 years in their automated services then leaving a message and having someone call you back that doesn't even work at the office. It's really had when your child is seen and you can't even speak to the doctor or call to leave a message for them. They have an app, great. Honestly your kid deserves better. read more

I can't tell you enough good things about this place. When my son was born we had a different doctor and I was so scared to find someone I could trust and I could rely on and that is Dr Gomez. We now live in Tampa and I do not care to drive 30 minutes to go see him. It is a doctors office, you will wait. Specially because Dr Gomez is the type of doctor that never tells someone no. No matter how many kids he has in the day if someone walks in sick he will take them. No matter how busy he is, he WILL take them. So yes you will wait, but it will be worth it. His staff is absolutely amazing! Hilda the office manager, MariCruz and all the nurses are so sweet and so special. My son loves going to the doctor! He knows every time he will get his favorite stickers and he gets nothing but amazing service. The plaza has a lot of businesses so parking can be challenging after hours. The office is always clean and organized and you are getting nothing but THE BEST! So definitely go check them out. read more

Where do I begin? Let's start at the beginning... The only reason we ended up at this pediatrician is because our daughter was born in a birth center instead of a hospital. For some reason, many pediatricians in the state of Florida won't accept infants that were born outside of a hospital environment (yet another reason this state is absolutely ridiculous, but that's another story for another post). Pediatric Associates of Tampa Bay was the only one in our area that would accept our daughter as a new patient. When I walked in for her first visit, we were treated differently simply because she was born in a birth center. The main office manager had a condescending tone and just assumed we were anti-vaxers because of the birth center. To be honest, I was too tired to even take offense at the time. However, this should have been the only sign we needed to run for the hills. Every subsequent visit since, the doctors have been roughly 30 minutes late (which is fantastic with an infant) and never apologized. They actually seemed irritated they were so busy. We quickly realized this was a "churn and burn" type environment, but we had no other options at the time. Fast forward to our visit today. It was my daughter's 6 month appointment and we took the first available time slot at 7:45 am to ensure we'd be seen promptly. To my surprise, we actually were seen by the doctor within 10 minutes (first time for everything). When the doctor came in (Dr. Espinosa), I could immediately sense that she was in a rush. She spoke so quickly that it was difficult to understand what she was saying. When she "listened" to my daughter's heart and lungs, the stethoscope was only on her chest/back for 2 seconds. I don't understand how you can hear anything of substance in that short amount of time. Once we got down to discussing the vaccines my daughter would get today, the doctor recommended the first of 2 shots for the flu vaccine. She stated that we'd need to make a follow up appointment for a month later if we chose to do it. Of course I said yes and my daughter ended up getting 4 shots today. Upon check out, the lovely office manager told me that they would be unable to provide her second flu shot because all of the vaccines they had expire at the end of the month and they wouldn't be getting any more. I asked her to check with the doctor to see if my daughter would need 2 shots again in the future. After 10 minutes, she came back and rudely stated that my daughter would in fact need 2 more shots. When I asked her why this information wasn't provided to me by the doctor, she said, "I don't know, I'm not the doctor. Would you like to schedule her 9 month appointment?" At that point, I told her we'd be going to a different pediatrician and left. No apology, no empathy. And my daughter was given a vaccine that won't fully protect her from the flu. If you love your children, avoid this place at all costs!!!! read more

This place is ridiculous. There is one receptionist who is awful. She's unprofessional. She doesn't seem to know what she is doing and she's passive aggressive to patients checking in. She couldn't find my son in the system and we've been here several times. She asked me to verify my information which is Normal. What isn't normal is that I had to tell her this four or five times before she would listen to me. She told me I didn't have an appointment. I am aware of that. That's why I am at said walk in clinic. I walked in without an appointment. If I had an appointment it would be with my actual legit pediatrician. She gave me a 10:30 and it's past 11 as I sit here still waiting with no information on updates. When the lobby was full of patients, she yelled across the room to accuse me of trying to get both of my sons in to see the doctor when only one was registered. I have only one sick child who I checked in when I arrived. I don't deserve to be accused of anything beyond that. Other patients looked at me and said she's so rude and they ignore her when they come here. This is unacceptable behavior and I will continue to post about this place until her behavior is dealt with accordingly. If you want to be treated with respect, don't bother coming here. read more

We have been a part of Palm Harbor Pediatrics for the last 9.5 years. This year they were sold/merged with Pediatric Associates. The office we used to go to was closed down. This was our first visit to the new one. It's been there for two years however, it's new to us. The office is bright and colourfully painted with little ocean creatures. There is a little kids play area. Bigger kids just have to deal, guess that's what electronics are for. :) The staff is friendly. Some were familiar from the old office but a couple were new as well. Surprisingly our wait on a Tuesday, midday was not long at all. I am sure that won't be the case once we have to go after school when everyone else needs after school appointments. We don't mind, due to the boys being patients for 10 years now. The Drs are all very good with my kids. I've never had a complaint. There are some news ones I don't know but luckily two of the main ones from the old practice are at this one too. They really listen to worries and ask the kids when they rare older as well. Any concerns are addressed. It's a comfortable relationship between patient/ parent and Dr. If you go while school is in and it's after school be prepared to wait at least an hour. If not it's a quick and swift appt. Sadly, even with that; it's still a 30 min drive for us on a good day. read more

Dr. Gaud is so warm and knowledgeable; one of those rare physicians that doesn't make you feel awkward or silly for asking questions My normally-skeptical 3-year-old and 8-year-old gave her hugs the other day, because she treats them like they're her own.... We searched for a very long time for the right fit for our children, and we are so sad to see you all leaving your Palm Harbor location, but we'll see you in Trinity! read more

Called for a virtual appointment. Although we've been a patient for years they had all our information wrong. It was corrected or so I thought by the scheduler. She said we'd get a text to check in & within 30 minutes a link. I got the check in text & going through it information was still wrong so I again updated it. Never received the link but got a call from the nurse asking if we were rescheduling or was I planning to log in. I apologized & said I hadn't received a link. Turns out I should have been told to download an app. So she assisted me with this & yet again information needed correcting. She told me to disregard the number of patients waiting, that we were next because we were scheduled. instead I waited for the longest time watching the counter go from 7 patients waiting until it was finally our turn. The nurse practitioner was very flat with no bedside manner to speak of. She told me we'd be emailed a school note. It is 2 days later & still no school note. They told me my insurance might not cover the virtual visit but I wonder if that's because they had the wrong insurance listed. So I am fully expecting a bill for the complete nonsense. The only reason I'm giving a star at all is because it doesn't let you give zero, and the nurse was very sweet. After arriving with my 4 month old daughter we stood at the reception desk for approximately 15 minutes with no one in front of us waiting to be checked in. The lady who then checked us in was not even remotely friendly or welcoming and I believe her title was office manager or assistant office manager. After checking in and waiting another 60 minutes, I went up to the desk to ask how long approximately it was going to be. I'm a realistic person, I know there's a wait at the doctors. But this was insane. The lady we were sitting near said every time she comes it's 2+ hours and once you're in the back and think it's moving along it's an additional hour wait. She was right. So the front desk lady said oh sorry umm lemme check. Yeah there's 3 people in back waiting to be seen and 3 more ahead of you out front. Ummm no. I was still polite at this point and said ma'am I have a 4 month old baby, her dad took time off work to come to the appointment as well, something has to give. Then the cherry on top was my doctor, who I scheduled the appt with, wasn't even there that day! No one called me to tell me or ask if I'd like to reschedule. They stuck me with some new doctor I've never met and I was furious. She then pretends to do me a favor and get us back quickly. Yeah we got back quickly, the nurse checked her vitals, then another 45 minute wait started with an infant who missed her nap time and was about to get 3 shots. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this office. 2.5 hours later we were finally out if there. Out of that 2.5 hours, we got approximately 5 minutes of FaceTime with an actual doctor. Unless you have a lot of spare time and enjoy wasting your day around sick kids, don't go there. (The lady we were speaking to in the waiting room was literally there to get a piece of paper, they couldn't see her son she just needed a referral. She was still there when we left) read more

When I first started taking my two kids here a couple of years ago it was great. My sons loved Dr Pineiro and did not mind going to the doctor. Dr P went out on maternity and things got bad from there. Whenever we made an appt we are always switched to another Dr. I have preferences on who I use, so when I take the time to book an appt with that DR that is who I want to see. The MAIN REASON I am choose to find a different doctor for my children is the medical assistants lack of knowledge, professionalism or knowing how to interact in a medical office. My son had a 2nd degree burn on his hand that we had gone to the ER for. We followed up with the pediatrician to make sure it was healing and to see when he could return to work and other activities. The doctor was great, however, the medical assistant smacked her gum the entire time she was in the room. She was applying cream to his burn and dropped the depressor on the floor and still tried to use it. Then she double dipped the depressor into the medication. When asked if they throw it away or if we pay to take him home, she said " oh no, we will use it for another patient" Unacceptable! I have been a medic for 20 years. That is cross contamination at its definition. She then did not know how to bandage and dress his wound and dropped the supplies on the floor several times. We finally gave up, left and I took care of his dressing chance myself. My oldest child is almost 22 and my baby is 12. I have never seen such bad medical care from an MA or nursing assistant. My children will not be going back for fear of them being exposed to things needlessly due to their lack of basic knowledge. read more
