I had the misconception that pedal wagons weren't worth the hype until I participated recently. I rode in a group of 15 people and it ended up being $25 for each of us excluding tip. The bigger the group, the lower price per person! We had to bring our own drinks for the ride but we could stop at bars and get selected drink deals. We got to aux and choose our own music and our guide / driver was super friendly and fun. The other logistics of the ride went very smoothly as well. I had an amazing time and I'll recommend it to everyone for a unique, fun day of boozing!

Shelby was an amazing captain during our pedal wagon experience in Columbus! Her expertise in bar discounts and Columbus trivia made for an overall great experience! Highly recommend to anyone visiting the Columbus bar scene!

I know it probably doesn't need another 5 star review, but sometimes you just have to do it. Our story starts on a warm January night, weather in Ohio... you never know what you will get. Its was 60° perfect. We booked a private wagon on the fly. With 15 of our rowdy friends we hopped aboard the wagon at one of my favorite places, North High Brewing. Our Capitan Lauren was the best! We played our favorite jams as we descended down High St., drinking a beer and laughing all the way. The stops we chose were Local bar and Standard Hall. Both great places. I have to say if you ever have the chance grab 15 buddies and pedal down High st. I cant wait to do it again.

John is a great tour guide and I'd recommend this to any bachelor or bachelorette party or corporate outing or just a good group of friends. It was a lot of fun and easy to use and understand. Can't miss opportunity for fun and drinks while exploring a wee bit of Columbus. Thanks, John!

    So much fun!

Insider Tip: Don't get off the Pedal Wagon. Because if you get off the Pedal Wagon, it probably means your ride is coming to an end, and that's just no fun. Stuart is the owner and captain of Columbus Pedal Wagon and he's super cool and nice and I really can't picture him forcibly removing anyone from the Pedal Wagon if they didn't get off on their own volition. So, should I have another opportunity to board Stuart's vehicle, I will most definitely be pressing my luck and not getting off the wagon when it's over. In all seriousness though, this is one of the best ways to travel through and see the sites of Columbus. This was my first time visiting the city and I feel like I got a really outstanding tour of hyper local areas. It's nice that the city of Columbus is so accommodating for activities like this. This, in Chicago, would not fly. The city wouldn't allow it, locals wouldn't have it, it'd just be all kinds of nope... but here in Columbus, Pedal Wagon made people on the street who saw it just as happy as we were on the wagon. So it works like this: * The bike holds a max of 15 people. 12 total pedalers and then 3 people can sit on the back coach bench and laze it up. * Stuart sits in the driver's seat between the two rows of pedalers and takes care of all your steering and braking needs. * The bike seats are extra wide (compared to regular bike seats) and have a little back on them for security. There's also a little cup holder at each seat. * 2 hours on the bike with your group will run roughly $24-30 a person (pretty nominal, if you ask me) * You can choose from what kind of adventure you want and what parts of town you'll explore. * City law prevents you from being able to drink on the Pedal Wagon on public streets, but in private lots, you are allowed) * If you want, you can bring a small cooler with food and water for your group to munch on. * You don't have to be physically fit or even know how to ride a bike to participate. Pedaling is surprisingly easy... until you hit a hill. Then yo gotta hustle a bit, but otherwise it just so rad all around. * You can basically wear whatever you want on the bike. Probably not great for a tight dress or anything, but you aren't limited to work out attire is what I'm getting at. * It's entirely possibly to hold conversations with your fellow pedalers throughout. It's the perfect bonding activity, really. Probably the best way to see the city, enjoy time with your friends, and get in a tiny bit of exercise while you're at it.

While your down there your using a provided map to guide yourself around and match the corresponding areas ( Ex; A to A or 1-1 ) We went after it had just rained the night before, so everything was VERY wet. Wear waterproof/walking shoes if you plan on exploring. Be prepared to get dripped on by very cold water coming off nearby rocks, and the "ceiling". Coming down the initial very steep stairs is a beautiful view of different levels of rocks decending into a tunnel/cave where the rest of the cavers are. Tons of puddles all over the ground from collected rain water and the "droplets". Most the areas are about big enough for one person to walk through the tunnel areas at one time, and if your a larger person i DO NOT recommend going down there. Some areas are extremely tight and really only accessible to someone under 4'5 and around 100 pounds or less. (Im 5'4, 140 and some areas i almost got stuck cause it was too tight going through the rocks. It is neat to see though, i dont think id want to do it again as it is just wet rocks and the furthest tunnel was closed from the previous year that occurred from some heavy rain water. (The water collected, over time causing a collapse). So that was kind of a bummer but i get it for safety reasons. The gem mining was fun, definitely loaded with a lot of "gravel" type rocks so that was new for me, Ive only ever had ones with dirt/sand that yield rocks/gems/shark teeth. We found some really interesting gemstones in each tray. The petting zoo was great. I thought it wad Going to be boring and smelly, and i was happily wrong. The goats were adorable, when we came in a baby jumped through the fence and was following our group. And when we came inside the "pen" to pet them he ran back in it was very cute! The deer were a little skittish but very sweet and gentle. The treasure hunt/maze was VERY fun we enjoyed getting different prizes snd trading them within the group.

As for the home tour here in German Village, it was very nice. Having friends that used to live in the village, I've had the opportunity to visit several of the area houses during and after their transformation... I love the historical feel and the effort made to preserve the essence of the area!! Why only 3 stars??? Well, as I mentioned at the start of this, I've done this sort of thing before. I love the intent of the fund-raising activity, but I feel the price of $20 per person is ... a BIT much. Had it not been for Groupon offering $15 for TWO tickets, I would not have attended. So glad I did not shell out $40 to stand in line or well over an hour at each house. They're nice and all, but way to crowded. And to stand in line for that long to only see 2-3 rooms on average in most houses..... When I did this a few years ago, I totally loved the experience of meeting and talking with all the people who had actually paid money to come look at my house. It made all the work and effort worth it!! Here in German village, I met only one single owner... REALLY??? Anyway, it was a good onetime experience, as I will probably not attend this again.

What was a problem was after payment was dropped off to a secondary business that the partners of SNTC own as well because that is the address on the SNTC contract, communication with anyone from SNTC was nearly impossible, and THEY DIDN'T SHOW UP. I would initiate every conversation that concerned my reservation from receipt of check, confirmation of the reservation (10 days prior to the date of wedding), and asking to connect with our trolley driver to plan out logistics multiple times only to have that request pushed off until July 25th were I would ask to connect with our driver via email with no response. Many of my emails would be (from my perspective) ignored. All of my phone calls would go unanswered and only one voice message was ever returned with a proper phone call from the owner. I would confirm our reservation for August 1st on July 21st. The owner would confirm for me that we were on their schedule on July 23rd and that would be the last time that I heard from the SNTC until August 4th when I finally had an email from the owner responding to my email from August 2nd describing the reality that his company didn't show up, apologizing for the mishap, placing all responsibility on his logistics service partner for no-showing, and asking for an address to mail a check back to me. I called SNTC 3 or 4 times on my wedding day! Completely unacceptable!!! I had ZERO reason to believe that the check would actually be put in the mail; so I would repeatedly have to ask to come down to the downtown office (not the gym) to pick up the check in person and talk with the owner and the logistics service partner to discuss what happened with our reservation. Eventually, I would end up texting the owner to coordinate a conversation and refund. Ultimately, the owner ended up sending my refund via venmo due to his busy schedule and not wanting to hold up my refund - this I can appreciate and was thankful for. As for the conversation with him and his logistics service partner, that probably won't ever happen. Haven't heard from him or any other company rep since 8/4/2021. I would exercise extreme caution in using SNTC. I am not the only customer they have stood up and I made the mistake in thinking that accidents happen - no showing a customer wouldn't happen twice by the same company. At first I thought the microphone might be overkill, but I'm glad she used it because my husband, who sat in the back, could hear her very well. The tour lasted a little over 2 hours. I was so happy I found Jean. I got to see parts of the city I may not have been ready to explore on my own, including Victorian Village, German Village, downtown, Franklintown, OSU's campus, and several others.
