Her instructions were easy to follow with regards to bike safety and she was able to keep our group of 6 (4 in our team plus another pair) together throughout the entire tour with no issues. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone, regardless of their experience level as it can likely accommodate any rider with even just a basic knowledge and familiarity. The tour itself was relaxing, beautiful, and educational. We frequently stopped for historical and contemporary updates on the places we visited while traversing the city and islands. The fact that there are effectively no cars on the island itself really enhanced the experience and made it feel like being out for a serene Sunday bike ride with the family. We really appreciated that at each stop she already had a nice spot picked out to take group photos and helped position and arrange us for optimal configuration and angles. We had been to the distillery district a few years back and thought it was really cool. The tour is about an hour which is the perfect amount of time for this area as it isn't huge. We had 4 other people with us so it was a pretty small tour. Our guide Caeli was great. She was enthusiastic and really had a passion for the city and it's history. She was half the fun of the tour. We learned a lot in a small amount of time. The tour ended with a couple of samples of chocolate from SOMA, which were incredible and led to us going back and purchasing some chocolates. There were also some beer samples included, and while we could have walked in and got samples on our own it was fun to do it with the group and to have Caeli's commentary while we sampled some of the different offerings. There are a lot of options in the Kensington Market and having a guide pick things out for your group that are tried and true allows for a larger variety of foods to try and less wasted money on things you should have passed on. The area merchants that we visited all seemed to have a close rapport with Shirley which was nice to see. We rented the duo cycling cart for like $20 an hour, and it was so worth it because we got to get a…read moregood workout in and felt the breeze. We also got to cycle to the two neighboring islands in one hour whereas if we were walking, it would have taken us so much longer. If you are a tourist visiting Toronto Island and are interested in riding a bicycle around the island, just pick up a bike from here. My companion and I are having back issues so cannot lean forward easily. Lucky for us there was a 2-person quadricycle for only $21 per hour! It comes with a nice canopy, so I didn't have to worry about getting a sunburn or uneven tan while riding the bicycle. You can sit upright the whole time, and it was easy to steer and brake.
