Me and my boyfriend randomly decided to take a trip somewhere for two days and went to check out Durango. We came across this bike shop and thought about going riding since we usually do that here in Albuquerque on our trails and the fact that Durango is so pretty called our attention to get a little workout in while on vacation. We went to the shop and the service was AMAZING!! The owner was so friendly and knowledgeable and suggested a trail that we fell in love with. It was super affordable and convenient. 11/10 recommend. It was literally the highlight of my trip lol We wish we had something like this in our city! The views and scenery in Durango just put the cherry on top.

    Love their ramp!

We came from out of town and I had an issue with my mountain bike where the gears weren't shifting correctly. Dave looked at my rear derailleur and immediately saw the problem of a cable hanging out and a part being broken. He was able to fix it within a half hour and I got my bike back the same day! Price was extremely reasonable and I definitely will come back if I'm in town and have any bike needs! The place is very well designed (check out the reserved parking and the awesome ramp in the back where you bring your bike in). Dave even gave us a trail rec over at twin buttes for some flowy adventures in town that doesn't kill us on the elevation. Super happy to find them at Durango!

Rented a Transition Smuggler this weekend. The Smuggler was one of the best bikes I have been on riding the trails around Durango. The weight distribution, suspension, and wide handle bar made the ride more comfortable than other bikes for me. The adjustable seat with the push of a button was a nice addition. While we were only able to do some of the trails in Horse Gulch in our limited time visiting family in Durango, riding this bike was a great experience. The staff were incredibly helpful, and always have been. Thanks!

Great experience! Walked up, rented two eBikes, and we're on our way in prob 10 mins. Great way to see Durango and spend a Sunday afternoon.

Easy to rent and close to Animas River Trail. Call ahead to reserve the bike you want as it's easier.

Shout out to Emile. I visited Velorution when I arrived in Durango to establish a bike shop for my…read moretrip and to get trail recommendations. It was near closing time, but Emile took the time to recommend trails and even highlighted them on a map for me. Super nice of him to do that for me, and the recommendations were spot on.

Huh, are you kidding me? Just ONE Yelp review on this awesome little shop?…read more I'll tell you this right now - this shop's service is outstanding and should not go unrewarded! If I had any complaint about this place I would say that it cost a bit more than I had planned on and parking is a bit of a nightmare, but the service is top notch. I had a flat on my mountain bike. I patched it three times and it still found a way to go flat so I took it here before hitting the trail. They offered to fix it right then and there but I told them to take an hour and I went for lunch. When I got back it was done. If that were everything I likely wouldn't have written this review. I needed a bike bag and their selection was pretty thin and quite expensive but went with one that THEY make themselves. They even took the time to install it and size it up and trim the excess at no charge. While they were doing that they mentioned that they though my ride would be improved if I flattened my seat, I agreed and the did that for free. They also mentioned that I might be happier if my handlebars were raised up a bit, I mentioned that it was uncomfortable bending over that much so they raised it for free. While at it they went through and checked and tightened every single screw they could find on the bike for free. This was almost like a full tune up at no charge. I expected to pay about $20 for a tire but throw in a spare tube, the kind of pricey bag, a couple cheap patch kits and a cheap spare pair of gloves and it was $120 - but that is on me, not them. They are outstanding and you can bet you bottom dollar that if I'm anywhere near Durango and need anything for my bike that Velorution is where I'll go, period. So why not 5 stars? The only reason is because parking is non existent. You can park in the hospital lot and risk getting towed or your can park in the tiny trail lot if you can find the space. When I returned for my bike I had to simply park in front of their driveway.
