Stopped at ski barn twice in our recent ski trip. First trip they were able to find an obscure ski boot part and repair my husbands ski boot! In minutes! Next trip Austin totally hooked us up with a. Great pair of snowboard boots even though it was closing time. He stayed with us and got the boots heat molded and properly fitted. Awesome. Shop has a ton of selection also. read more

Exceptional Service from Brad - Ski Barn Durango Delivers! I ordered the Tahe Beach LP2 Inflatable Kayak Package online from Ski Barn Durango and had it shipped all the way from Colorado to Sarasota, Florida -- and I couldn't be more impressed! Brad, the manager, and his amazing team went above and beyond to ensure a smooth, professional, and personal experience even from a distance. Brad personally followed up with updates, answered all my questions, and made sure the kayak shipped quickly and arrived in perfect condition. What really sets Ski Barn Durango apart is their unmatched customer service and commitment to quality. The kayak arrived exactly as described, and when I had a minor warranty question, Brad made the process stress-free and stood behind the product 100%. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers -- even ones across the country! If you're looking for top-tier outdoor gear and want the peace of mind that comes with buying from a trustworthy, passionate team, Ski Barn Durango is the place to go. I'd absolutely order from them again and highly recommend them to anyone, near or far. Thank you, Brad and team, for your outstanding service -- I'm thrilled with my new kayak! read more

My only experience here is with ski equipment, but it has been exceptional over the last few years. The store is larger and very well stocked. Brad is a top notch boot fitter and a great guy to work with. read more

Rented my girls skis at this location on the way to Purg. We arrived too late the night, but it would have been a 2 hour wait to get the rentals due to the amount of people renting on Sunday night. Came back the next morning and we were serviced in less than 10 minutes. The people are nice and good at setting the equipment. read more

The service, the selection and the staff are awesome. Highly recommend both of their shops.

My friend Donna has been skiing her whole life and decided to buy new boots and skis before she retires. She is a detail oriented and thoughtful shopper. She found a gem at Ski Barn. Jason was unbelievably knowledgeable and patient and worked all week to get her boots adjusted perfectly. She tried two sets of demo skis before selecting one for purchase. Donna met her ski match in Jason. Ask for him when you need anything ski-related. read more

Found my ski service and store in Durango. Upon the recommendation of my friend who is a local, rented gear for my son and bought a couple little extras for the outing. I also needed advice on binding adjustment on my own skies. Not only were they WAY more than happy to help for free but offered to handle all the adjustments and testing of the bindings right there for a VERY reasonable price which I jumped at. The binding adjustment was perfect through the week at Purgatory and Telluride and I was way more confident than if I had done it myself. Awesome, friendly and knowledgeable staff and nice convenient in-town store. When I return to Durango, I will always return to Ski Barn and would recommend them to anyone. read more

They started off great, then went down hill (pardon the pun). After having a series of bad experiences with another ski shop, I called Ski Barn. The guy that answered the phone was very nice and helpful and seemed to want my business. Then I met with Jason and wow, by far the best boot fitter and overall customer service I've ever experienced at a ski shop. Then, after spending a little over $2k, I went to pick up my equipment, and I was treated like I had offended them. They didn't discuss my purchase with me, talk warranties, explain binding settings, offer any kind of follow up or anything. Basically were just rude and seemed to want me gone. Hmm... such a weird change of attitudes. So, three stars for now, and we'll see how my next interactions with them go. I'm very willing to change my rating. read more

Our family of 6 makes Ski Barn a second home when gearing up for the mountain this time of year. The Ski Barn team killed it again this year. We picked out skis and bindings for our 12 year old Son at 11am and received a call by 4pm letting us know they were ready to shred. With two locations in Durango and a serious on-line threat, THEY GET IT DONE! Because the Staff is constantly skiing some of the most challenging and chill slopes in CO (and beyond), the Ski Barn staff can easily help dial in your final decision. The ski and snowboarding experience that you'll tap into the minute you walk in the door truly spans decades. There's a great mix of old school experience and new ski and snowboard advice to be had. Special thanks to Bill and Angie, Shane, Cort and, of course the dude in the basement. By the way, the dude in the basement has mad respect from all of the other Ski Barn staff as one of the most ridiculous skiers in the area. He also fits boots real damn good. These guys and gals don't just sell and rent great gear they live the mountain life, racking up blue bird and powder days at every opportunity. It's also worth saying, the staff is humble and loves to share their depth of knowledge in a way that isn't intimidating. read more

My family rented inflatable kayaks from Ski Barn and the service was great. Angie went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. If we are up here for ski season, we will definitely rent from these guys! read more

Ski Barn - Kids had a blast on the water! - Sporting Goods Near Me - Durango, Colorado

The store had a great supply and really nice ski gear. Took my family there while we were here skiing for spring break. We came in 30 minutes before closing. The staff knew we were there and told us to take our time and assured us we were fine. We loaded up on a bunch of great gear and went to check out right at closing (literally 6:00). The staff said they had already closed out the registers and said we could come back the next day if we wanted. The sale was great and we were looking forward to taking serious advantage of it. Very disappointed. read more

We needed to rent some skis, ski boots, snowboard and helmets. We were fortunate to be able to rent brand new ski boots. Fantastic customer service would definitely go back. Reasonable prices. read more

Great selection and super friendly staff! They outfitted us with great products for our family ski vacation. Can't wait to go back next ski season! read more

I bought some skis from Bill at the Ski Barn during the Ski Swap in Albuquerque. After the first season we noticed a defect and contacted the ski manufacturer to have it fixed. They referred us back to Ski Barn and to their credit Ski Barn took up the issue with the manufacturer on our behalf and it was resolved to our full satisfaction. Not all retailers demonstrate this level of support and integrity. I highly recommend Ski Barn and greatly appreciate how they helped us get a positive outcome. read more

Great accommodations for out-of-towners. Very thorough, quick, and reasonably priced.

I went in for a full ski boot fitting and the boot fitter was incredibly knowledgeable and went right to work making my boots custom fit to my foot. Highly recommended. read more

Ski Barn is THE BEST Ski/Board Rental Place in town. Don't go anywhere else!!!! We have been coming here for about 30 years now, and Bill, the new owner, has improved it even more. We went up to Purgatory to rent skis today and it took FOREVER. Purgatory would not allow us to rent for more than a day, so we came to town and were In and Out in HALF the time than the Purgatory rental place. Everyone was incredibly nice--especially Clark and Bill. The prices are reasonable and the location could not be better! Perfect place to rent skis and boards. read more

Went to rent some ski boots this Saturday morning before hitting the slopes. With recent snow it was sure to be a busy day and we had high hopes of getting up there early. Ski Barn crushed all hopes of an early morning- service was extremely slow, no one seemed to have customer throughput or even good service in mind. We waited at least 45 minutes to get one pair of ski boots. The boots were in poor repair- had plastic sticking out and would not stay latched. Upon returning the boots we had a equally slow experience just trying to turn the boots in. This used to be our go to spot... but now we have sworn never to return. Unfortunate. read more

Best ski boot fitting I've ever had! Erica and Brad were amazing! We were in need of gear for our family of 6. 3 skiers and 3 snowboarders. We needed everything from boots and skis/boards to coats, helmets and goggles. Erica and Brad could just about look at our feet and pick the perfect boot for each of us. Brad carefully and patiently adjusted our boots and fitted 'orthotic' liners. I opted for the heated boot insert and absolutely LOVE them! At their suggestion- we went to the Ski Barn's other location and found additional helmets, coats and hiking boots. Also, they didn't have some of the right gear/sizes for our snowboarders so they sent us to another shop for that stuff. Also, we met the owner and he was just as awesome! Highly recommend the Ski Barn!!! read more

Came in with a broken buckle on a pair of boots I purchased from them a while back. Austin was quick to help me find a replacement. Highly recommend this shop, great products and service!! read more

I was in the market for a new ski helmet so I came here on the recommendation of Yelp, and on the fact that we saw it on the main road. I wasn't disappointed. They had a great sale going on (30% off) and the service was friendly enough. 1 star off because the sales person had mediocre knowledge of the product. But that's easily solvable through Google. read more

I was going to give these guys a great review anyway, but they really went above and beyond today. First of all, they were all super friendly with us, and helped our young kids out with their first time ski rentals. Purgatory told us they were a bunch of greens open, and there were not. We brought our Kids up there, and my 2 1/2 -year-old daughter was not having it at all. These guys totally worked with us in returning their rentals at no charge. Thank you guys. Y'all really save a miserable day Great selection of gear to rent, and you can buy helmets, hats, sunscreen, socks and I'll kinds of other. I would go back read more

Excellent service and high quality products. They accept reservations for equipment rentals which is important on busy weekends. The staff took time to fit our family correctly and make sure everything was in tip top shape. Rental process was well-organized and quick even on busy spring break week. read more

Ski Barn came recommended from a friend of ours because they got him fitted right for boots, and our son has been having a real problem with rental boot fitment. So we stopped in there and Rick took excellent care of us, got our son fitted with boots that were "1000x better" than the rentals on the mountain according to our son. Took the time, had the knowledge, got us hooked up. Everyone else there at the store was super friendly and helpful and attentive. They have a reputation for boot fitment and IMO it's very well deserved. Highly recommended. read more

I purchased a pair of boots and had a great experience! Jason is a top shelf boot fitter, he was kind and help me find the right boot. I also witnessed him juggle between me an a few other customers very professionally. Not all of them where happy but he never faltered and delivered excellent service. I was so happy I came in the next day and purchased a full set up. What a great place! read more

I've been a customer for over 10 years without a complaint. Recently my skis delaminated and the warranty had just run out. They were able to get them covered and when replacements from the same manufacturer were not available arranged a store credit for me to get new skis. A lot of stores do well in the day to day stuff, but a quality store shines when the chips are down and they come through. Ski Barn is a quality store. read more

I came in at 1:30 pm on a Wednesday. I went downstairs and meet their expert boot fitter Mark. He assessed my fit ,formulated a plan and went to it. I purchased a custom pair of orthotics and had my liners re-shimmed ,then nabbed a pair of super thin ski socks. My overall purchase experience was five star. I would definitely recommend them. Note an appointment is recommended for for a proper fitting. PS, give that man a raise Bill he is worth every penny!!! read more

BEST BOOT FITTING EVER! Keegan, just one of their pro boot fitters, is more knowledgeable than any of the boot fitters I have found in places like Deer Valley, Park City and others! He not only CRUSHED my expectations, he gave me solid answers as to how I should increase my foot flexibility for better results! 3 hard skiing days in brand new boots and I am calling to say THANK YOU! Bill and Angie the owners of Boot Barn are down to earth family people that truly want to surpass their customers expectations! We even saw them on the ski shuttle after Sunday Family Fun day of skiing. You can trust this team to help you and your family too!!!! read more

Marc measured & analyzed my feet, then had me try on several different brands of ski boots to find the best fit. I've always hated choppy snow; with the custom foot beds the heels fit well & give direct input to the skis with excellent control of the tails. Kudos to Marc; very pleased with the new boots! read more

Ski Barn is the best for ski rentals and bike to own rentals! It's the place all us locals use. The owner, Bill, takes time with his customers and makes sure they feel they are getting the best product for them ! If you have kids that are still growing I would use ski Barn for all ski rentals and mountain bike rental to own program! read more

Really impressed with the service I received here. Worked with Greg, Mark, & Zane to purchase skis, boots, & poles. They were really friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. I was never upsold or pushed towards more expensive products, they genuinely tried to understand what I'm looking for in gear and find the best match. Would absolutely recommend Ski Barn to anyone looking for gear. read more

I cannot recommend Ski Barn enough! My boyfriend and I drove the hour from our motel in Pagosa Springs to their establishment after using rental skis from another retailer the previous day and deciding we would suffer no more! We made a boot fitting appointment in advance and wow(!) what an experience! We were given guidance on the unique needs of our foot and heel types and tried on multiple pairs of boots until the fit was just perfect. Not only do we each own the the best fitting boots we've ever had, we also purchased skis that day and had them ready to go asap. The day before, on our rentals, we had numb feet, aching legs, and barely lasted more than half a day on the slopes. Immediately after, we've had the most fun ever on our skis and stay to the very last run at every place we've been to since! It doesn't matter where we ski next season, Ski Barn will be our first stop for getting snow ready! read more

Any of the ski gear I've acquired since I moved to Durango has been through the Ski Barn! They have been very helpful from fitting my new boots to helping me decide on a pair of powder skis (that I've barely gotten to use...with all this snow I thought I'd see after moving from NY)! I highly suggest this store...they usually have great deals and they have a very friendly staff! read more

Me and my 16-year-old son had never been skiing and were quite clueless about the gear. The guys at Ski Barn were real patient and helpful in walking us through all the needed items. They even checked the weather at Purgatory and didn't up sell us on needless goggles/eyewear, though they made sure we at least had some sunglasses. We rented skis, a board, helmets and boots. They went so far as calling another gear place down the street for an item they did not stock but felt we needed. I highly recommend them and we will use them for all our gear needs. read more

Good for renting skis for a trip up to DMR! The people were very helpful and we received quick service when we wanted to get some skis for a day trip. Very reasonable as well, $80 for three people to rent boots, skis and poles for a day while up at the resort it can be around $75/person! read more
