My biggest run in my new Hokka Speed Goats, thanks Brown's!
    J S.

Have shopped there for many years before I actually lived in Durango, now that I live here it's my go-to place for sports shoes! As a life long cyclist I was never much of a runner, since moving here and purchasing at least two pairs of running shoes (Hoke trail and Salomon snow), I've taken up trail running as a 'cross training method. They also carry pretty much every brand of sports shoe you would want!

Part the first - Booking our float trip on the San Juan river was simple. Called up Duranglers, spoke with Spencer, got some preliminary instructions, gave payment for half. Took 10 minutes. Received subsequent emails, phone calls from Tom, the owner, about NM fishing licenses with relevant links and day of driving directions to the meeting location. Made navigating an unfamiliar territory seamless. Act II - Shop experience. I "needed" a new fly line. I walked out with much more! Prices were reasonable, shop guys were more than happy to shoot the breeze, and their selection was top notch. Great shop! Part three - The Rob Effect: Im a beginner fly fisherman, my dad was a first timer. I have had 10 or so guides over the last 3 years since taking this hobby up. Rob C. is tied with one other in N. CO as my favorite. He was patient, funny, and a wealth of knowledge about almost any topic. He is an unbelievably technical fisherman, his skill set and command of the rod is unparalleled. His respect for the river and the fish it contained was refreshing. I cannot recommend him highly enough! He made our trip the success it was. You will not be dissatisfied with any aspect of Duranglers!

The store had a great selection & well laid out. I had all the time needed to wander, ask questions & even some small talk. I will definitely return next time I'm in town. Thank you.

The place is no longer called Your Running Store though, its Running and Tennis, though I totally ignored the tennis but do remember something about them saying they restring or whatever you do for tennis racquets. But on to the running part... They have a treadmill with a little video camera and they will "analyze" your stride, its all very scientific. I found out I over pronate. It felt like such a great new identity, "hello I am kierstan, overpronator." Then the guy, who can only be identified as "clerk 1" from the receipt looked at my stride and took into consideration my many qualifications I have regarding running shoes, flexible, not to heavy, not boxy...he even helped me figure out I have been wearing shoes that were too small for me and found the perfect pair! Thank you Clerk 1. I would suggest bringing your own sneakers to run, or at least wearing shorts. I had on a skirt and he gave me these red and yellow super hero type shoes that looked really silly. Or actually forget the shoes, just bring a cape and you will look alright. Oh and if you are trying to find it, they changed their address. They are now off the main street behind Durango Coffee Company. I walked to the old address to discover a hair salon that didn't sell any shoes. They almost lost a star for that. But Clerk 1's hair was all sexily disheveled that he earned it right back. I totally heart the Running and Tennis store...now I am off to try out these shoes.
