This morning was a beautiful day. I got up early, went outside, did my yoga and my meditations, and I started my day. Now, normally it's off to a rocky start only because it's Monday after a holiday, but now today on this Taco Tuesday, I turned it into a Terrific Tuesday. This Tuesday, I decided to get some work done on the computer. Then I went to go get my bike fixed--not my motorcycle, an actual bicycle--and I'm excited because I stopped into the shop and they fixed my bicycle tire right away, and in less than 10 minutes. I was in and out at a fair and reasonable price. It felt great. It was short and sweet and right to the point. The guy asked me if I should get air in my tire and he did it right there on the spot. Highly recommend this place based off of the fast and efficient service. -Branden-Lee AKA B L E E read more

I gave this place a 1 star because I can't give it less. We were in today to get a few things for a bike, and the man helping us was a complete asshole. He was snarky and absolutely horrible to work with. If you don't enjoy your job, then leave. You would do every customer a favor by you leaving and if you're the owner, I suggest you sell this business. You just lost 2 people who were going to buy bikes because of your attitude and poor service. read more

This is a great business! Get your bike fixed or buy a new bike, this is the place to go in Harrisburg! I actually just "donated" a bike. They have a group that fixes donated bikes for underprivileged kids and this is awesome! read more

Originally, I was going to buy a bike from another shop. I shall not name that place in this review. I was not impressed with the sales guy from the other shop so I found Pedal Pusher from Yelp. I normally don't shop in Harrisburg except the usual malls, so I wasn't expecting to be impressed. I was wrong. The staff who greeted me was extremely helpful. He helped my daughter picked out a bike and let her test the bike in a near-by parking lots. We spent about 1/2 an hour testing it and decided to do business with Pedal Pusher. They even give us a fair value for our used bike as a trade in. I highly recommend this shop. read more

Had my bike over a month. Kept giving me the run around, each employee told me a different story. Then more than a month later I was forced to pick up my bike in the same condition I dropped it off in. They couldn't even put brake pads on it. Strange too because I said I was willing to pay whatever just wanted the bike fixed. We also had several other bikes that needed worked on. I'll never use them again or recommend them. read more

Pedal Pusher is a great little bike shop. Very friendly staff, you couldn't ask for friendlier people. Located just off Walnut Street, there is a handful of parking spots on the side of the building. We stopped in for an estimate to get tune up our bikes for spring. Repaired tires, inner tubes, tightening nuts and new training wheels for the kids. They have a decent selection of new and used bike, shoes & gear. Turn around time was about 2 weeks, as promised. They didnt try and over sell me on anything, the quote actually came in a little cheaper than expected. read more

Pedal Pusher - Inside of Pedal Pusher Shop. - Bikes Near Me - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

These guys are top-notch...not in it for the money, but for love of biking. Drop in and hang out, and you'll learn all sorts of useful information just by overhearing it. Staff is friendly and laid-back. The sales approach is no-nonsense and straightforward, selection is good, and repairs are affordable and done right in the main room so you can see how it's done (for you do-it-yourself types). And if they don't sell it, they'll order it for you. Ask for Jim...he's the man. read more

Absolute top-notch biz. After a frustrating experience at a competing shop that was near my home (see my review on "Downhill from Here" in Palmyra), I went to Pedal Pusher to search for a helmet. Now, make no mistake, I can't just go anywhere for a helmet... Target and Wal-Mart are out. I have a size 8-1/2 head, so finding a helmet has always been a "needle-in-a-haystack" adventure. I walked in, immediately Jeff said "hello" and asked what I was looking for. He pointed me to their HUGE selection of helmets, specifically two models that were made for very large noggins. He even helped me adjust the one I tried on to where it fit perfectly. Great place, so-so location, great team. read more

If you've ever been shopping for a two wheeled human powered machine and wandered into a sleek, polished, spandex snappin' type franchised bike store, you know it can be an overwhelming exerience that might leave you feeling self-conscious about size of your wheels and the amount of hair you let grow on your legs. Here in Harrisburg, however, we are quite fortunate to have a place like Pushers for buying or servicing bicycles. I recently moved into midtown and decided to sell the old gas guzzlin motorized money pit and opt for the freedom of bipedal movement and two wheels. I've always enjoyed riding a bike, but have never really gotten into it beyond cruisin around the various towns I've called home. Pedal Pushers is reminiscent of the bike shops I remember when I was younger...friendly helpful staff who take the time to get you exactly what you need, and not upsell you to something you don't. I ended up with a (cheap) old mongoose mountain bike, and the guys at pushers took the time to tune it up, replace much needed parts and tell entertaining stories, all at no extra charge!!! They also took the time to explain in layman terms the why, when, and how of the tune-up and workings of the bike. They were quite personable, remembered my name, and seemed to truly care about each customer that walked in the door. They have a great selection of new bikes of all sorts as well, and also have a good inventory of accessories likes racks, helmets, shoes, and yes, even spandex. read more

Took my Townie Electra in to have the tire tube replaced. The guy who helped me was amazing! Helped me in the door, took less than 10 mins to replace the tube, and he even put my bike back in my car for me. The charge was just over $15. Was a great experience. read more

First, I called. I told the associate I had an Ancheer E-bike that I was looking for parts to upgrade. He said, great but he'd have to see the bike. Told him I'd bring it down in a week or so. A week passed and I rode to the shop. A guy came out and looked at my bike. I told him what I wanted to do and he had nothing but excuses. I wanted to upgrade the drive train. He said he'd have to look around for "old" parts. I asked about a front fork. He said bike parts couldn't be had...they were scarce (Amazon has bunches). Then lastly he said he didn't want to work on Ancheer because they were inexpensive and another guy brought an Ancheer back three times for tire issues. I never asked about tire replacements (mine are fine). I explained that I bought an inexpensive e-bike ($900.00) with the idea of upgrading necessary parts over time. But, I guess I'm not the type of customer this shop wants to attract. While the first person I talked to on the phone was very pleasant, the guy I met at the shop acted aloof and condescending. This whole rotten experience could have been avoided if the guy on the phone would have said they didn't work on Ancheer. Needless to say I'll find another shop to do business with and other Ancheer owners, save your time and energy...avoid this place. read more

Pedal Pusher is the best bike shop around! These guys know bikes and components and provide helpful, courteous service. I lived in central PA for years using this shop without realizing how good they were until I moved out of state a few years ago. I just came back to ride with friends in PA and NJ and ran into a serious problem that PP went above and beyond to solve for me at a reasonable price when literally 8 other shops across eastern PA and southern NJ said they couldn't help. read more

My go-to bike shop in the Harrisburg area. Good range of products, but where they really shine is in their truly exceptional staff and service. It's evident that these folks love bikes and cycling, and that really comes through, whether you're considering a major purchase or you're there for parts or a repair. Their first priority definitely seems to be what's best for their customer. Highly recommend this shop! read more

top notch service on 6/5/08. friendly, helpful salesman. He did not try to sell me on the more expensive bike. (his least expensive model was $385) read more

The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. Although I did not purchase anything, they were really great at helping me navigate the ins and outs of a possible upcoming infant bike seat purchase. They did let me know that they sometimes have used bikes, since the new bikes are a little out of my price range, however you have to call daily to see if they've gotten any in, as they are a little behind with posting things on social media. read more

I took my old bike that was sitting in the shed for about 10 years in for a tune up. They said they were very busy so it would take about 2-3 weeks, which I didn't mind since I wasn't in a rush to get my bike back. They replaced one of my tires fixed my gears not working at all and looked over the whole bike for cheaper than what the original person told me it would cost. This is a great place I will go back again for anything bike related I need. read more

I've been to pretty much all of the bike shops in this area. Pedal pusher is easily the best. The location could be better, but it's definitely worth a trip out of the way for the excellent service. They are also (I'm pretty sure, at least) the only place to get a Surly frame around here. I stopped in for a small $3 item, but totally forgot that I didn't have cash. The owner of the shop just told me to take it and if I came back to pay for it then. A really classy operation. read more

This place was great. Didn't need anything but wanted to check out the shop since my wife and I were in town and went past it a few times. They had a fair selection, but more importantly everyone in the shop was super friendly and they were all trying to help us. We didn't need anything this time, but if we are back in the area I would certainly stop again. read more

This place is a testament to the merit of purchasing from a small business. You will never get the same attention to detail, friendliness, knowledge, and technical expertise from a large retailer. My wife and I looked at other bike shops before we bought our pair of Raleigh bikes, but these guys are the real deal and made the decision process easy. read more

The staff here was brilliantly helpful in finding an unusual part I needed to fix my 70s moped. The friendly gentleman working the counter was more than happy to search their salvaged bicycles in the basement for it. I will be back every time I need anything bike or moped related. Strongly recommend this place. read more

My girlfriend and I were driving across country and had a problem with our bike rack, so we needed to ship our bikes across country. I spoke with one of the owners (Ted), and he was incredibly helpful. He quoted me a reasonable price for boxing our bikes, and even offered to take them to fedex himself to ship them. I was truly impressed. read more

Ted and Big Jim are the best when it comes to customer service and knowledge. There is no BS just the facts. They are always helpful and know their trade. This place is GREAT!!! Have had bikes serviced here for a couple of years and last year purchased my wife's bike at Pedal Pusher. They were great in making sure she got the correct style of bike/frame for her --- she is very short. AND today while loading bikes in preparation to go to Pa. Grand Canyon, I found by back tire was flat. We were leaving in three(3) hrs., I called and they told me to come to store right away. I was in and out with a new tire in less than 15 mins. --- plenty of time to return home and finish packing etc. etc. If you are looking for a bike shop this is the place ---- everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. read more

I can't say enough about the OUTSTANDING customer service you get at Pedal Pusher!!! Jim and Ted are the best and they have an incredible staff there as well. I bought a bike online and asked them to put it together for me. Their price was very reasonable and they seemed to take great care and pride in assembling my bicycle despite my having bought it online somewhere else. They went out of their way to assemble it for me right away when all the other shops in the area said "sorry, it'll take 3 weeks." When I picked it up the next day, I arrived with a different seat that I had already previously purchased online as well. They changed my seat for me and also installed a few accessories I bought while I was there, all at no extra charge. The people who work in this shop are truly amazing people. I told them they had a customer for life, Jim said, "well, more importantly, I'd like to think we made a friend." You did Jim. Everyone, do yourselves a HUGE favor. Go to this shop for the best in sales and service. You won't regret it. - Jim R read more

On the way to MTB Nationals and wanted to stop on the way to prep a high end wheel set with new tread and some sealant. I called ahead and spoke to Jim to let him know our desires and to see if we could squeeze in some time on the fly. He said he would be glad to help and when we arrived, help he did. Quaint shop, nothing too chi-chi, but they handled my daughter's wheel like experts. This wasn't too tough of a job, but all staff was pleasant and full of little bike tid bits and info. Inexpensive fix for the wheels and best wishes from the whole crowd. We left satisfied. Go visit them for your biking needs! read more

To be fair, this bike shop is in my neighborhood, so they score huge points on convenience. When I was first looking for a new bike, they did a great job helping me narrow my search.
