Beware of shady/sneaky business practices. First and foremost, I have never been to this business (never even heard of it), until I purchased a recumbent bike. My bike needed servicing since it was not shifting gears easily. It simply needed the shifter wire replaced or the rear derailer serviced and alligned (Not rocket science). Since I believe in supporting local businesses, I went to Pedal Guerrero to drop off my trike. Little did I know, I was about to experience exactly what I had been warned about: the dreaded UPSELL! As soon as I got there, I explained my problem and that I wanted to drop off the bike for service. UPSELL #1: Even though I never mentioned that I wanted a new bike (I like my bike just fine) I was taken on the tour of the new bikes they sell and even shown their bikes in the back. Ironically I was shown some of the most expensive $4000-$7000 models! I said I wasn't interested but they showed them to me regardless. Yes they have very nice bikes, but at that price, I'd rather get a car to "get me around town." UPSELL #2: After a week I get a call that they cannot fix my bike. But they can order parts, replace and install them all for the neighborhood of $200 dollars. Seriously! I went in, paid them for their "work" and left ( can assure you I will never darken their walls again as they've lost a customer.) Next year I will be in the market for a new trike but I will not be buying them from these guys because of two reasons. Reason #1: their shady business practices. Businesses should not insult their customers by telling them they cannot repair their bikes. If you offer repair services, then do them. Don't upsell. If a customer wants a new bike, they will ask for one. Reason #2: Guererro will be out of business. Due to their pathetic initial impression, I am sure customers won't be returning. I won't. These businesses and the bikes they sell are very expensive (believe me I know) so their pool of customers if very small. I never saw too many people inside so that already is a sign that things are going south. Good luck Guererro, but the writing is on the walls. So there...I've told you my story. If you choose to still go to them, good luck and bring a big wallet, prepare to be upsold or have your time wasted. read more
