Went in for a car inspection. That went well, and they made some maintenance recommendations. When I got back in my car to leave, I couldn't turn on the AC, or lower the windows or work the sunroof. Don't know if the breaker controlling those got jostled or what during the inspection, but I alerted the service writer, Sabrina, to the issue, who immediately reported it to the service manager. I explained that all of these things were working when I brought my car in, and how very uncomfortable it made me to have this problem after a mere inspection. They wheeled it right back to the shop, and resolved the problem either via a reset or securing something that was knocked loose. Appears to have been just an accident on the part of the tech. I would suggest testing the windows and AC anytime they work on or test electrical systems...and as consumers, we should always test at least those basics before we pull away. As a woman who has worked in car sales, and is also a consumer, I understand how it makes us feel like we have "sucker" stamped across our foreheads when the car must go in the shop...and I felt heard when I said as much to the service manager. He was respectful. They handled this well, and I would consider them for future work or when I am again in the market for a vehicle. I sat in the waiting area, which was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Staff were friendly. I will also give major kudos to Sabrina. The service department is disappointing to me. I have been going for my schedule oil changes and maintenance and they always seem to find something else wrong. The service manager is very persistent on you getting things fixed right then. On one occasions he d had the nerve to ask me ," Can you tell me why you can't have this service done?" I informed him "money that's why". He then told me we can finance that for you. I informed him no thanks, when I get the money I'll have it done. If that's the case, I could use my own credit card. Then I find out , unlike other dealerships Joe Pecheles charges an extra fee to use your credit card. read more

We have 2 Prius autos. I marked both the vehicles tires with chalk to make sure the tires had been rotated. Neither cars tires had been rotated but the service invoice said that they had been rotated. FYI both sets of tires had been bought at Pacheles Toyota and came with free lifetime rotation service ; as do almost all tire retailors offer. I have been on a serious hunt for a 2022 Highlander Hybrid XLE and called this dealership on the evening of Wednesday, December 8th. I spoke with a pleasant sales person that checked on the availability for me as I want to have one in hand before Christmas. She returned my phone call and stated the exact one I've been looking for, Highlander Hybrid white 2022, will arrive at the dealership on that following Monday. I was so excited I tell her "this was meant to be!" She provided me with a price/MSRP of $45,754 and I'm like great I am super interested, and ready to place the $500 deposit to hold the vehicle. She asks me if i have a trade in and I say possibly. I provide her with the details of my current vehicle and in return receive an extremely low ball offer - I'm thinking fine I was offered a really great price from a different company. We move on from that and start talking about pricing. I state I would like to work up some numbers on x y z. Next thing you know I am provided with a completely different MSRP of $1495 more than the original price we discussed. I ask about the increase and the sales person states "What every dealership is doing right now is adding an addendum due to limited new inventory. Ours is $1495, which is way lower than what I have been seeing and hearing elsewhere." I have been in contact with several, probably at least 10 or more dealerships and have been discussing this "addendum" with them as well. all have been completely up front about it and only one other dealership that I know of had the addendum already included in their sticker price. At this point I am extremely irritated and think that is unethical to tag on an additional $1495 without notice. Several minutes later I receive a phone call from the GM Jim Foskey and he tells me he didn't know where I lived when he printed the original MSRP of $45,754 and stated because I am not local he will charge the $1495 addendum because of lack of inventory. I live an hour and a half away!!! I was ready to purchase this vehicle until that happened. I was in shock and told him that's terrible business and let him know I am only an hour and a half away. He stated his local customers get mad at him when he doesn't have the cars they want in stock. So he picks and chooses who he sells their vehicles to? That is unethical and just terrible on so many levels. Tell me this Jim what are the requirements to purchase a vehicle at Pecheles Toyota? Is it a 10 mile radius, 15, 20? I'm baffled as I only live a mere 88 miles from this business. One would think a GM of such an operation would be a little more customer savvy or lie and say they charge everyone the addendum. They must make so much money off the locals they can turn other peoples hard earned money away. They were deceitful, dishonest, and dirty. Check their prices for hidden fees. They didn't even have the audacity to list it as some other fee they just hid in the new MSRP like I wouldn't notice. I could've been a return customer! read more

My husband and I had a great experience at this dealership! It all started with the very prompt and friendly email exchanges between myself and Ben Hardy. I can't tell you how many emails I have sent to car dealerships only to never hear back from them. Ben was ON IT! He answered my emails right away and was professional and courteous. I also received an email from the manager (Charles Stewart) with the actual amount that they would accept for the vehicle I was interested in. I appreciated this so much! Another dealership I went to would not give me any specifics in my email inquiries. I was just told to "call us for an offer that you will really want to hear!" Like most people, I don't have time to go back and forth with phone calls and emailing is the most efficient way for me to communicate when I'm at work. I was very interested in the vehicle and was also impressed with the price. But, the car was a color that I didn't know if I would like or not. So, my husband and I drove almost an hour in the rain to see this car. I have to say that we probably would not have done so had it not been for Ben's great communication skills or Charles' email offer. We met with Ben who introduced us to Jay Richardson. Jay was awesome! He explained the vehicle in great detail and helped us to understand all of the features of the car. There are a LOT of features, but Jay knew about all of them. He is very knowledgeable and helped me to not feel quite so nervous during the test drive. :) We also met with Charles Stewart (Manager) and Rory (I'm sorry, I didn't get his last name) and Holt Holbrook (Finance Manager) who were all friendly and courteous. We did not feel in the least bit pressured or uncomfortable. Just the opposite. We felt relaxed with these people and knew we were in the right place! In the end, the color of the car was gorgeous and we bought it. In all my years of buying cars, this is the nicest experience I've had. Just spoke with service adviser. He gave me an estimate to replace small plastic door switch in my Toyota Highlander, price $500, switch cost $400. Went on line to genuine Toyota parts. Price $23 discounted to $17 with free shipping. Hummm, called next nearest dealer asked for part price he quoted $23. Guess where I'll be going for all my service?? Received a call this afternoon from the service adviser. Seems we miscommunicated. He was quoting parts and labor on a different switch. The parts department said there wasn't a hitch or wiring harness available for our Toyota Tacoma because it was a 4 cylinder and it couldn't be put on my truck when I went and had it serviced at the 5000 mile requirement. When I bought the truck the dealership said I could add one later and when the salesman (Christian) that I dealt with to buy the truck went online he said it was available and I could order one and have it installed by u-haul.
