We had so much fun and from driving up to the very hugs goodbye, our hosts and proprietors, Cheryl and Stan were warm and welcoming. They are the perfect couple to run a cute place like this because they are friendly and true ambassadors of the little town. They go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and have all the amenities you need. Cheryl even heard that my mom has trouble walking so she shifted accommodations for us when we reserved a month out so that my mom would not struggle with stairs. They invited us to church and we're always checking when we arrived back that we are enjoying our stay. Our room was quaint, cozy, yet spacious and the large king bed was so comfortable! We wanted to buy the decorations as they were so cute and made you feel like you were staying Osage cowboy and Indian country. I highly recommend this place to stay as it overlooks the town on a top of the hill and yet is quiet and peaceful too. I was able to sit on the back porch in the morning writing postcards and reading my Bible. Next time I'm in the area, I'll be staying there again. Go and get an authentic small town experience with the friendliest people around!

To my surprise, there was even a jacuzzi in my room. The only complaint I have is that my room smelled of cigarette smoke when people were smoking outside my room, near my room air conditioner. I had two dogs during my stay and there was absolutely no problem having them here. The cost for the room with two dogs was very reasonable.

The hotel staff are quite lovely and extremely friendly. I can honestly say I dont know I have ever experienced staff as nice as the ones here. The room is spacious. The bed was comfortable and overall it was quite nice. Mynissues; I wasn't quite happy with the bathroom door which is a slat door with see through slats. Doesn't really give much privacy. My other issue was the smell. I dont smoke. I expected the casino to be smokey. But my room smelled like a lit cigarette. The smell permeates everything. If it didn't smell of cigarettes, i would have given a 4nor 5 star. Needs air purification badly.

Anyway, I've stayed in lots of places in the area. We love that this place is CLEAN and it feels SAFE. There are other places that are neither. Sure it's a little ways from the university but take 64 to 177 and you miss lots, I mean LOTS of traffic and headache on 51 after the game. It's closer than Ponca City (yea, it's a real place) and Gutherie on 35. Sure, there's a train about 2:00 am. But you're in the sticks,man! When you're close to stillwater and you want consistency GO HERE or the Microtel on Hall of Fame (always booked up in football season or school times). You can't go wrong.
