I don't normally write reviews. But I am compelled to leave this review as a public service to…read moreother consumers to avoid the nightmare I've experienced for more than a year with this company. I've been doing projects with Steel Partners Lighting since 2018 and have spent tens of thousands of dollars with them. When Steel Partners was bought out by Kiva around 2021, I was originally excited that the legendary custom fabrication that Steel Partners was known for was seemingly going to live on with Kiva Lighting, which claims to be a custom lighting fabricator. For the last 18 months or so, I've been in direct contact with the company CEO, Sonia Torres, working on a custom lighting package for a multi-million-dollar home in the Adirondack Mountains of NY. I purchased many thousands of dollars worth of Steel Partners fixtures from Kiva in 2023. Many cages arrived crooked and without the necessary mounting flange that would allow secure installation of the fixtures. To their credit, Kiva promised to re-fabricate the fixtures per my design recommendations. But it literally took 9 months to get all the fixtures back and only after many dozens of texts and voicemails that were routinely ignored more MONTHS on end. But I did eventually get the replacements, and they were far better. In late 2023, I was forced to place an add-on order for approximately 1 dozen custom fixtures needed for an addition -- wanting to coordinate the lighting for the addition with the main house built a few years earlier. I have been jerked around for well over a year after having been promised on dozens of occasions that the custom CAD drawings were forthcoming so I could finalize the design and place the actual order needed to compete the project. I still don't have anything I need. Sadly, this company is horrifically mismanaged. They are an absolutely embarrassment to the greatness the name Steel Partners once represented. It has been, hands down, the singular worst customer service experience I've ever had in my life. Do yourself a favor, stay away from any of the many "brands" under the Kiva Lighting ownership umbrella. The company is an absolutely train wreck.

I did get one response via email, saying that my fixtures would be delivered the next week. I have not hear anything from them since, despite multiple voicemails and emails. I would not buy from this company.

I came to the Albuquerque Home Depot on Eubank and Luis was the one who I came into contact with. He was thorough about what had occurred and what had happened he explained to me that online sometimes does things differently. I drove 2 1/2 hours which is the nearest Home Depot and instead of turning me away and having me come back on a Monday he resolved my issue with the right color that I wanted. This is the service I expect from Home Depot as a pro member. Thank you very much Luis for hearing me out and understanding that again I did not choose that color because I would not be wasting my time or yours. Way too dark, especially in the summer, which will absorb the heat. When you shop at this Home Depot store and you're in the paint department look for Luis and ask for him by name he'll get you squared away and you'll feel like he was listening as he's doing his job. Thank you Then it went south for a second and Susan at customer service helped Luis fix the problem because now the refund went to the card and it takes 3-10 days. Susan worked her magic and undid what had occurred. Susan You saved me from having to return 2.5 hours and I sincerely appreciate your service!

I eventually found the hot sauce section, which, incidentally, is incredibly well organized, including the cool display for the Ass Kickin' stuff (prices on the hot sauces are outstanding and there are several I have seen here and nowhere else), but I wish the rest of the store was organized similarly. The entire thing screams clutter and spicy products (I think, I tried really hard to find them all, but maybe (probably) missed some) are maybe 20% of the floor space. The rest is coffee and mugs and t-shirts and pinon stuff and just random...shit. Back to my confusion...I don't understand why this place is called Chile ADdict when so little of the inventory is related to piquancy. I guess calling it a gift shop would be less interesting, maybe? Anyway, if you have a lot of time and patience to spend carefully hunting and foraging around this (sometimes precariously and hapazardly) scattered array, it can definitely be rewarding, but it won't be fast.
