She took a shy, insecure little girl and gave her confidence and pride through caring for her horse, mucking out stalls, cleaning tack and learning how to "ask" the horse to obey commands. I have been taking lessons from Terre for a few months now and I am a MUCH better rider than when I started. Terre is not one to sugar coat things, but she'll always be honest in feedback and in praise. Her trail rides are also a lot of fun because you can gallop parts of the rides, which isn't common for most trail rides. Be honest to her about your riding experience and be open to her coaching and you'll have fun AND learn a thing or two. read more

Took my 13 year old and her 11 year old friend riding and they had the time of their lives. Terre runs the business by herself from what I can tell. She is very serious about safety and takes time to match horse to rider. The trail ride wasn't your average trail ride. The trail is rustic. The horses didn't always stay in a single file line, and at one point they even ran with the girls, which they absolutely LOVED! Terre gives firm instructions along the way, which some might take offensively, but the girls took all the instruction she gave and actually learned a lot after spending two hours on the horses. After an hour on the trail the girls spent an hour riding the horses around the inside of the barn. My daughter got to ride one bareback at that point which was the highlight of her evening. I'm sure a picky person could find the negative in any situation, but we enjoyed our experience. She was running a bit late, but we just went with the flow and had a great time. I highly recommend. You won't find any other place that gives you a trail riding experience like this one. read more

This was the ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I can't begin to tell you how bad this owner is! Be prepared to get yelled at, berated, made to feel like you don't belong on a horse at all! She's very professional on the phone but once you get there (and let yourself in; she will NOT oblige) it's a WHOLE different experience! She' was unprepared when we arrived, spent nearly 2 hours chatting and griping before saddling the horses and then proceeded to yell at my 11 and 8 year olds to the point of tears. When we finally did get on the "trail", she continued to yell at us until I'd had more than my fill of the situation. I was trying to give the experience the benefit of the doubt thinking that it was really in our best interest all the instructions that she was trying to make us understand. But what we went for - an enjoyable trail ride for the inexperienced, vacationing rider - was not what we got. DO NOT USE THIS STABLE for pleasure rides. Find another stable, check their reviews (that's where I went wrong; had I checked the reviews instead of going by the telephone conversation I had with Terre, we most likely would have ended up having a great ride at a much more professional stable that provides rides for amateurs) and then go and have some fun. Our family bought a puppy from here. It was absolutely horrible. She is charging ridiculous prices for mutts. She told us that the puppy was registered as a Hybrid American Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog and Australian Shepherd) First of all, this mix is recognized as an Texas Heeler. She obviously has never researched it. Second, she has us fill out all the info to register the puppy yet tells us that she is unsure which dog got the mother pregnant but she thinks it was an Australian Shepherd and fills the papers out this way. I have read on the "Hybrid Registries" and not one has a American Heeler. Even if this was the case, the parents must be purebred which she claims, but she said our puppy was 1/4 shepherd and 3/4 heeler which means one parent was not purebred at all! Please, Please, Please do not go to this lady. She is falsifying records and scamming people into paying unreasonable prices for a mutt that happened to be born on her farm. I think she needs to be shut down, but I just don't know where to report her. read more
