Amazingly, and having visited the Peartree Bridge Inn yesterday (Sunday 6/11), I can confirm the earlier review.
The weekday price is now £3.89 and on Sundays this goes up to £6.99, but the value for money is remarkable. A full roast, a choice of pork, gammon, turkey and beef yesterday (have all 4 if you like), stuffing and yorkshire puds, and excellent, well cooked veg plus friendly and efficient staff. Drinks and desserts are also great value at really competitive prices.
The only downside was that the place is obviously incredibly popular. The queue for the carvery simply went on and on and I'm sure many people waited a lot longer than the 10 minutes previously indicated, but, unless you're in a tearing hurry, it's well worth the wait. I'm told it was pretty busy yesterday, though not that much busier than usual.
Being November, a stroll down the canal wasn't really practicable but the location, right on the canal and MK marina, must be terrific in the summer months. For me, this was a probably a 'one-off' visit as I was meeting family and travelled 50 miles to do so, but, if I'm in the area again, the Peartree Bridge will be top of my list for lunch, or dinner or, even, breakfast (which they also do, for £2.99) ! read more
