Pearson Professional Centers administers many exams. To be as prepared as possible, I visited the exam site 2 weeks prior to my scheduled date. There was construction on the 10fwy so I knew to leave even earlier on the day of the exam to prevent being late. The building was easy to locate and there is plenty of parking. Regardless of what test you are taking, I recommend going on their website to read any rules that may be relevant to your exam regulations. On the day of the exam, I got there an hour and a half early so I can take my time and go over my study guides a bit in my car before it's time to go in. As instructed on the confirmation emails, I began to go in 30 minute prior to the start time. The building door was closed. There was a note to use the office from the intercom, so I did. No one picked up. There was also a phone number, which another person tried call and no one picked up. I tried calling again, and finally someone picked up. There was 4 of us who were just waiting outside until someone got the door. The test center is on the 6th floor. Due to Covid precautions, there are extra rules to complicate the already complicated process. Everyone needs to read the door and acknowledge the Covid non-expose stuff... This could be more efficient if they sent us a questionnaire/waiver prior and have us sign it off the morning of the test day. Plexi glass is put up around the room to protect the Test Administrators. We had to start off by leaving to the rest room and washing our hands... and then coming back and using hand sanitizer. A bit redundant and inefficient considering how many surfaces there were between the bathroom handwashing and coming back. From there we were each asked to read rules about the test we are taking. *warning* Be sure they know which test you are taking. I was given some rules about the MCAT test since there were other people there testing for the MCAT on the same day. I want to emphasize that different rules apply to different tests. The MCAT folks had to put their phone in sealed bags and do hand prints. For the PMP Exam, I just had to present my ID and take a picture :) Then you put away your belongings in an assigned locker space. You keep your ID with you at all times!! After you pass the first part of screening, you go to the TSA-like checkpoint. There is plexi glass and you keep a 6 feel distance showing them your pockets and things like that. In my case, they checked my glasses if there was some fancy video thing in them. Didn't know people were so fancy with their cheating. Had I knowned I would have worn contacts to lessen the checks. Anyways, if you aren't hiding anything, you have nothing to be afraid of. After the check, depending on your test you might get scratch paper, or in my case laminated pieces of paper that worked like a white board. I really liked the lady who helped watch over the testing area. She had a dodgers facemask. Super sweet personality. She taught me the hand signals if I needed something or if I want to take a break or when I am done with the test. Her cheerful personality really made the test experience less depressing. The test room was hot from the computer, but I heard the AC... guess the AC was not strong enough. There was also construction sounds. Headphones or ear plugs are provided if needed. My test was under 4 hours with 2 -10 minute breaks. I took all the breaks. Once for the restroom and once to stretch and rest my eyes from the computer. Brain fatigue is real! By the 3rd section of my test I was so brain dead I had anxiety towards the end. Results for my test are instant so I was so nervous. At the end of the exam, I gave them the thumbs up and they signaled for me to come out. So grateful I passed. Just glad for it to be over. Staff checks your ID again upon check out and you can retrieve your items from the locker. For my test, I got a piece of paper with the results. Yay! I saw the results on the screen when I finished the test and I was in shock like ohh am I reading this right? I passed? haha... nice to have this reassuring piece of paper!! If I can give 0 stars I would!!! Came here for my first time, taking a restaurant manager certification. Upon entering the room I immediately felt the bad energy from the young lady sitting behind the desk. She was unfriendly, unwelcoming and rude. She didn't to act professional but went too far, it's not that serious you are just checking people in you can smile. She asked me to take off my jacket, it's cold but I did. She asked me to turn off my phone and I do, then she asked to show it to her so I showed it to her. Her unfriendly tone already started bothering me. She then gives me a locker key and asks me to put all my items inside except my ID. I then sat down and waited for the proctor, he asked me to empty my pockets and I had chapstick. He said I need to put it in the locker, so I did. He then said he has to check my waist and at that point I was like yeah no I'm not doing this. I left the building and got a refund!!!! The man was friendlier than the girl at the desk but overall experience was horrible. read more

Most unprofessional proctored site I've been to. I walked into the suite promptly 25 minutes prior to my exam time and abruptly greeted with "UM HELLO DID YOU READ THE SIGN ON THE DOOR?" I'm sorry, I didn't, that was my bad, but now I read the sign that says "if you display any symptoms of covid please do not take your test". Highlighted in 12 Font Times New Roman font below that (very small for a sign is what I'm getting at) states to wash hands before entering the room. Cool, i get it: it's important to be safe during the tail end of this pandemic. I mean, I've only worked in restaurants for 15 years and know this is important. Anyways, what the front desk failed to explain is that ALL the bathrooms are locked, and I need a key to get in to them, which she has. No explanation, just read the sign and I'm supposed to just assume that. She then explains to me that I didn't NEED to wash my hands. She had me check 6 floors of bathrooms before telling me. The site clearly states to carry nothing but your ID into the room which, again, I get. I'm sure some lame-brain has tried to cheat on their exam and these security measures are to deter from such happening. The front desk lady gives me a paper that I need to read: no explanation, just "here read this for your exam you're taking with us", but also keeps me from reading it when she interrupts and asks for another form of ID. I brought none with me. I explained to her I left everything in my car and the website and email clearly state one ID. She said now I need to get my wallet. So NOW this is my third time going up and down this building. I grab my wallet. Now mind you, I showed up 25 minutes early for this exam because It's important to be punctual for such occasions, but now it's a couple minutes before my exam and I feel like I'm already flustered from the lack of professionalism empathy displayed by front desk lady, not to mention the up and down the elevator back and forth to the suite. ALAS! I have everything and it's time to read this paper because she doesn't want to explain anything. "Please put all your articles in the locker, as you are not allowed to have anything with you except your ID. I've already learned at this point the front desk attendant is unwilling to explain anything to me so I get up and place all my articles in the locker but hear uh sir, i haven't assigned the locker to you yet". I scoff. Your front desk needs to be retrained (or removed) on rudimentary front desk standards. Greet the people, have some empathy. We're taking tests; we're nervous and these tests mean enough to us that we are going up and down to appease to YOUR standards. I listened to her talk to other people walking in, and we all had the same face when we finished. I really hope you enjoyed having me walk all around the building today. I passed my test and I will not being going to this location when I retake in future. I'll drive to Timbuktu to receive a modicum of hospitality after being here; it won't be hard to outdo her. I do have to say, however, the gentleman proctor was nice. I'm sorry he has to be jumbled into this but I feel I need to give credit where due. Good day. read more

Today was my second exam taken at this facility within a 1 week time frame, and both times I was placed in a stressful situation prior to entering the testing room. I have taken roughly 8 exams at this facility, for both Arizona and California certifications, over the last 6 years. I am not sure if they have new management or have decided to hire incompetent people without teaching them proper customer service or socialization skills. I have already submitted my feedback from my last test from last week, but after just leaving my most recent exam, I am compelled to leave a review here as the test moderator today basically accused me of falsifying my identify, before realizing it was his error. Today's Situation: After checking in, putting my personal items in the locker, and using the restroom per approval of the female employee at check-in, I waited in the lobby to be called in by the test moderator to check-in for entry into the testing room. The man, an older gentleman who was the same person from my last situation at this facility (I couldn't wear a claw clip, and after the test I was being prohibited from using the restroom because I was "the last test-taker" and they "were closing up"), called me over. Per protocol, I was instructed to complete the basics in order to enter the computer room (ID and locker key on the desk, eye glasses down for review, full body self-pat down, and palm scanning). When it was time for the identification process, I was instructed to place my right palm on the scanner as the man compared my government-issued ID with the information on the computer. I was told that my palm was not registering, so it had to be adjusted on the scanner. After I adjusted my palm, it still did not properly identify me. The man then suggests that I'm not doing it correctly. Not sure how there's an incorrect way of putting a palm on the scanner; but since this isn't my job to scan palms, he should tell me how to adjust my hand so that my palm is read correctly. Mind you, I have already completed this palm scanning upon check-in at the front desk, if I was unaware of proper palm placement the issue would've been fixed upon checking in. I digress. The man confirming my identify to enter the testing room then instructed that I scan my left palm. I told him that it was my right palm that was originally scanned, which he then suggested that I may not be remembering correctly. How am I not remembering correctly? It was no less than 10 minutes ago when I checked in and had my right palm scanned. For shits and giggles I placed my left palm on the scanner. Of course my left palm didn't register because my left palm was not scanned earlier. Once the scan of my left palm failed, the man asked if I was the correct person checking in for the test. This man was actually claiming that I am trying to falsify my identify to take an exam, after he saw me check-in with the receptionist no less than 10 minutes ago. All I could do was chuckle to myself because I could not believe this man, whose brain in his older age is clearly getting away from him, is actually blaming a human-error or software-error on me trying to falsify identity to cheat on an exam. Turns out, he was CLICKING ON THE WRONG TEST-TAKER'S NAME. He was in possession of my ID to confirm who he was suppose to be checking in, and he was having me scan my palm to the name that is not on my ID card. He did not give an apology nor a remark on how it was his mistake and not me trying to falsify an identify. What a stressful and unnecessary situation and horrible mindset to be put through just before taking an exam for a certification. Pearson, train your staff better. The only good thing about this facility, which is the reason why I continue to take exams here, is because the testing room is quiet. read more

Took my NCLEX here. They have great customer service, very accomodating. The place is very clean. If youbare taking the test and wants to use the restroom before or in between the exam they will give you a key to the rest room. Restrooms are locked. Took my exam around February, the room is not cold, you may leave your jacket/coat onna coat hanger provided by Pearsonvue. Exam center is a little bit hot for me (not too hot nor too cold though) you may need to wear non thick clothing, or cotton shirt, if you get cold easily i suggest to bring something that you can wear to provide you a little warmth since once you are inside the testing area you cannot remove anything you wear anymore read more

It seems that I was the only one having this much trouble this Saturday using this stupid intercom. It only took me 4 tries to get into the front door of this building, including somehow triggering a goddam fax machine. Others waiting for testing stated that the Redlands location has a much better experience. To be fair, the staff said that this is a constant source of complaint during the weekend. They reportedly talked to the building management multiple times and were apologetic about it. The actual check-in and test taking process was reasonably good. I did have time to give feedback on the survey at the end of the test, and the staff also asked if I had a chance to voice my concerns electronically. This experience won't stop me from coming back next time if needed, but I would probably try the Redlands location if I can help it. read more

I don't know why this is posting under my husband's name.. My name is Linda T. Not Abraham C. I just want to say thank you! I took my NCLEX on October 5, 2019. I was so nervous, as would be the norm I suppose. The receptionist greeted and registered us one by one. Right before you go in to take the test they have you pat your legs..the gal was so funny.. she was making jokes at the way that I patted my leg which actually relieved some of my anxiety as I was able to laugh right before my test. My test shut off at 77 questions which scared me because classmates were going well above 100. I walked out feeling like I failed . I couldn't remember anything about the test. The only thing I do remember is hearing a voice say "Have a good day" I believe it was the receptionist. That was the ONLY positive thing that stuck in my head through out my long week and a half of waiting for my results. I really thought that I failed because my classmates got their results back within 48 hours... Still holding on to those positive words "Have a nice day" I called the BRN to see why it was taking so long... Apparently computers were acting up Oct 5th. I got my results today and thankfully passed. Just wanted show recognition to the wonderful ladies at the Ontario site for being so kind. Thanks again! I came here on a Sunday to get to know the area and how the drive is from my house. It's suuuuper easy to find, but if you're a little lost as to where exactly the location of Peason is, it is in the Argosy University building on Centerlake. You can make a right turn into its parking lot, but if you miss it, you can turn onto the TGI Fridays and make your way around to the Argosy building. ***side note*** Who knew there would be a TGIs there?! So random! I guess I'll have to to some pre-gaming before my exam to shake of the nerves ;) lol jokes. Anyways, I don't know exactly what the testing area looks like because the the whole building is closed on Sundays, but I'm sure it's nice. Will update when I go back. Parking is a breeze. They have a huge lot in front of the main entrance and a tiny parking structure right next to it. 3401 is the address, and Pearson's suite is #675. Hope this helps, and good luck! read more

I came to take a computer-based exam towards my teaching certification, and I was impressed by the ease of finding the location. Parking was free. The test center was clean and efficient. The staff were friendly and quiet, which eased the tension I felt when I first walked in (a little nervous to take the test, I suppose). Best of all, NO ONE coughed in the testing center while I was in there, which allowed me to concentrate and feel very confident in the cleanliness of the rooms. The whole building seemed brand new, elevators were fast, and overall things went really well! read more
