Last week or so I had to visit Pearle Vision and it was a truly great expietence. The first time I ever had to get glasses. Insight vision is the eye office connected and I loved it. I visited the store on Louise in Sioux falls SD. I was not impressed. The Dr and reception were very condescending and rude. You say you will cover our exam but I was told after my visit I had to pay a 50$ co pay. That was all the $ I had so I was then not able to eat lunch during work. I will not be returning and the frames you offer are basic and ugly. read more

I had stopped in to Lens Crafters but they told me I needed to wait a week for my lenses to come in. I faxed over my prescription to Pearle Vision and they had them in stock and said they could have them ready in an hour. I stopped in picked out my frames and they my glasses ready in 40 minutes. The quality is great and glasses are perfect. Lens crafter were fine I just couldn't wait for the lenses to arrive. They were very helpful and would not hesitate going there for glasses but Pearle Vision was there when I needed them. Cody was professional and very accommodating. read more

We've been going to Pearle Vision for the last couple of years, since our insurance changed. They've been incredibly friendly and helpful the entire time. My husband recently ordered transition lenses, and when he went to pick them up, they'd accidentally made them into sunglasses. My husband explained, and they were quick to fix them, and just two hours later he had his glasses back! Cody, the tech guy, was especially helpful. I have worn glasses for more than 30 years and just a month ago got my first pair from Pearle Vision. They aren't even a month old and all scratched up, more than my 2.5 year old pair. I paid extra for the non-scratch coating - what a rip-off. When I went to the store today to see what they would do they said my only option was to use my one time replacement and $25 to get lenses replaced and that I must of dropped them. Optometrist was great and front desk was amazing but Brooke in the eye glass center was very rude. It was my first time ever needing glasses and I didn't know much about any of it or the process and she was just not helpful. She could really work on her customer service and at least act like she likes her job. She did not make me feel comfortable or welcome. I ended up going to Costco and they gave me so much information and made me feel so much more comfortable. I hope Brooke can find a job that makes her happy so she can be nice to people. read more

I just took my daughter in with a prescription from our family eye doctor. Cody was incredibly courteous and also very knowledgeable about the insurance and the types of glasses that would work best for her strong prescription. It was a great location and a quick visit and they had a huge selection of frames to choose from. And my daughter loved the cookies! read more

They do not understand insurance or benefits. I had to explain to the eye glass tech what my benefits were. She said she was confused after getting the manager out and explained to them. They said by blue cross vision was a discount plan not an insured/covered plan which is totally false. Also had my eye exam there and they billed wrong and when I called to verify kept telling me the wrong information. Ugh hard to deal with when they are supposed to be the experts in the field not the patient. Please go somewhere where they know the insurance and what they are talking about. read more

I brought my glasses in to be adjusted and was out of there in 2 minutes flat. Great service!

Bought glass in June 2016. Great service. No problems. First week of June 2017 I noticed a spot in my bifocal area of one of the lenses. It is over an hour drive to store so I buy off getting it checked out til July 1. Young man helping me said we were out of warranty by 2 weeks. The spot on my bifocal area was a product defect. Ask me if I left them on the dashboard in the car a lot. I said no these are my glasses, they stay on my face. He said hair spray could also cause it. I told him I do not use hair spray. Now because of a Product Defect I have to pay $60 to get this fixed. Not fair. Product Defects should not be charged to the customers. The gentlemen said I was not paying for the product defect but for the lense. I have to pay 50% of it. Why. It is their product that is defective and I should not have to pay for it. This is not something I can just say no I am not paying for. I need these to see. Have me over a barrel here. I don't agree I should have to pay for you product Defect. read more

For my eye exam, Dr D. Keith was pleasant and knowledgeable and spent time to explain anything needed. Her assistant did the extra eye testing, which is optional, and was kind and efficient. Both friendly and helpful. For choosing frames and lenses, there are many options. When it came to help with this, I feel the more expensive HD frame was pushed on me without the option to look at the less expensive but effective lenses. I went back again and got help looking at other options but was still pressured that the HD was what I'd want even though i needed mostly reading glasses (+2.25) and minor script for regular seeing area. I called several times to clarify this with staff from the frame area but got same sales pitch of needing the HD lenses. I ended up calling and talking to store manager and he helped me out a lot. Reassuring me that the Pearle Select/PG Poly Accolade lenses are more than sufficient for my script. I got progressive lenses and am interested in seeing if they help with my vision/lessening my headaches. Waiting to pick up. read more

Rude staff. Optometrists had poor chair side manner, are very condescending, and were not up to date on the current treatment guidelines for my condition. The front desk hung up on me when I called for my prescription and measurements so that I could order a second pair of glasses online. Their policy is apparently to make you pay to get remeasured each time you want different glasses despite being measured a few months back and I doubt my measurements have changed. I will not be utilizing any services from this Pearle Vision, Empire Vision or any other Pearle Vision in the future. read more
