The optometrist is very good but the team doesn't know what to order. I had to figure it out myself. I would prefer that the professionals do that because I paid them for the examination. I would just make sure everyone was on the same page before leaving. read more

Horrible experience!!! I didn't even get my eyes checked because the Optometrist here scolded me on my mask not being on 'properly', and I had to spend 5 minutes listening to his mask and Covid spiel and how much stress he was under the past 2 years. I asked him twice to please stop and get to the point of why I was there, enough Covid talk. You could tell he was not ok, on the verge of something, very stressed!! If you are scared of people, retire and stay home. I told the staff how disgusting this was and walked out. They wasted my time and being 'schooled' on how to properly tuck my mask under my glasses and how his previous customers has coughed and sneezed all over him , was ridiculous!!! Time to move on or stay home. Oh... and it stunk like stale moth balls . Dingy , terrible service. read more

The doctor refused to send me my personal health records to me via email after I had requested. It is a HIPAA violation and against the law to do so. I am disabled and they refused to do so and said they could fax. I do not have a fax and once again it is against the law to refuse to email a patients records when they ask you to do so. Do not go here. Waste of time. read more

I never thought I'd be reviewing an optometrist and where he or she works but after the OUTSTANDING care I received from Dr. Miller and his associates I feel the need. I'm nearsighted with a pretty strong rx and with age I eventually ( as we all do ,sorry to tell you) developed presbyopia. That is difficulty seeing up close items. So I've been wearing multifocal lenses for a couple of years now. It was always difficult to get a rx just right where I'd be about to see decent up close and far away and I just settled on what my previous drs prescribed me. Now I regret that bc I had an eye opening experience at Pearle. Dr Miller spend so much time examining my sight from the very first visit but he wasn't done just there. He sent me on my way with a pair of trial contacts and told me to come back in a week. I still couldn't see great up close and so my next visit he spend even more time correcting that. Now , for the first time in a very long time: I don't have to hold my phone or book far away from my face to read like how you mom does and I can still see far away ! It's a miracle. I almost cried. He truly cares about others eyesight. And a very kind man. I only got contacts so my experience with the rest of pearle's staff was limited. But John and the rest (sorry for not remembering names ) were upbeat and a pleasure to work with. Contacts came in fast and at a great price. And they set you up with trial solutions. Sweet ! Store has a standard selection of frames. Ok. Here's the only complaint: the parking lot is sooo dark at night ! Really nice way to inform us that we can't see for shit in the dark haha. Now I can see all the pretty food pics on yelp clearly but wish I didn't see the not so appetizing ones *sigh.... read more

I get really excited when I find a doctor's (any kind) office that I like - and I really love this Pearle Vision location! First, you can make appointments online which is really convenient and they also send text reminders for appts. Second - I never end up waiting - either for appointments or to pick up my contacts - they are very quick to help you. Third - the doctor is SO nice. I have a slight astigmatism and he didn't force expensive contacts on me like another doctor. He does a really quick exam if your eyes haven't changed in awhile - took all of 5 minutes. Also lets you go home with a free pair of contacts Last, all the staff here is really nice. The overall experience is very pleasant - and I've been to some AWFUL offices (Davis Vision, ugh!) so I'm really happy to find a place I don't dread going to read more

Over all best experience I have had with a company. Everyone professional, from staff to doctor. Answered all my questions from insurance to medical. Couldn't ask for a better place for my family. No need to look any further come here. Have had bad experiences with sterling in the bay shore mall that really left us nervous to deal with another eye store. Pearl vision, outstanding! i have been going to this pearle vision location for over 10 years. the staff has always been extremely friendly & helpful. although the staff has changed over the years, everyone i have dealt with at this location has always been friendly, helpful & accommodating. one gentleman in particular, chris, has been more of a friend than just some guy that works at pearle. he has always gone out of his way to help me and always greets me with a smile and a handshake.... i wouldn't go anywhere else at this point in my life. i highly recommend this location. - Tommy K read more

I had wanted to change the nose pads from an expensive pair of sunglasses that I received as a gift. I went back to the place where the gift was purchased and sadly the people there were only able to take one nose pad off. So after an hour of waiting I was back to the starting point and left with the original pads. When I went home I found some scratches on my sunglasses too. I was so upset so I decided to go to Pearl Vision in Bohemia. I met with Christopher Onuska (Manager and licensed Optician). He was incredibly smart, talented and gifted. Within 5 minutes he changed the nose pads and cleaned the sunglasses. I was in a state of shock how he knew exactly what to do and how to do it. He was so precise and careful and didn't think twice. What he did was perfect and he helped me so much. His talents and abilities stood out very clearly and I know of no other place that I would ever want to go to after this. I came in with an expensive pair of sunglasses that were hurting the bridge of my nose so I needed to have the nose pads changed. Before going to Pearle Vision I had gone back to the place where I purchased them from to have them repair it. I thought it would be a simple procedure but it turned out to be a fiasco. This person could not repair it and spent over 45 minutes trying to get a screw out of the nose pad . Not only was he unsuccessful he scratched my glasses. I decided to go to Pearle Vision and I had the greatest experience there with Christopher Onuska (Manager) . In less then 5 minutes he was able to put the new pads on , he cleaned the lenses and discovered the scratch and aligned the glasses. I was so impressed with his knowledge and with the speed at which he fixed everything so quickly and thoroughly. He has a special gift and on top of that he was very very nice.
